intheshadows1887 says "My puppy loves his cage" about Midwest Life Stages Dog Crate

My dog hated to be in one of the plastic closed up crates. Not to mention none of them were big enough for him to stretch out while he slept. I bought the cage his is in now for approximately $70 and didnt really realize how big it was. After seeing him grow over the next 2 months though I was very glad it was big. With any cage it will take up alot of space but atleast this one is virtually indistructable. My dog has bent the bars while throwing a tantrum about being locked up while I was away but honestly with any cage that will happen with my dog because he's as strong as an ox. He did however figure out yet again how to chew on the bars till he could slide the latches both open and get out but a simple pad lock stopped that problem. Comfort wise I just throw a blanket in there for him that smells like me and he's as happy as can be now and doesnt have a problem being in there at all. Loves it actually...

intheshadows1887 says "Spend an extra couple of bucks and by frontline or advantage!" about Hartz 3 & 1 Flea & Tick Repellent

Not only is this stuff harmful to a small dog but it smells horrible and gets on everything for like a week. I'd rather spend 12 bucks every 1-3 months to buy frontline or advantage from my vet than to ever subject my dogs to this stuff. My dog saw this stuff in my hand when I tried to apply his second dose and he ran because he hates the smell so much. Frontline or Advantage is alot safer not to mention it actually works and the dog doesnt really even notice the smell...

intheshadows1887 says "I loved my Doberman!" about Dog Breed Dobermans

My dobermans name was Bruiser. To this day he was one of the greatest dogs I ever had. Unfortunatly he was born in a puppy mill before we got him and was born with a heart murmer that wasnt treated or monitored till he was 10 weeks old (when we got him) and it caused a heart attack before my beautiful boy was even 7. Miss him like crazy. Easy dog to train and awsome protection dog for any female.
...

intheshadows1887 says "My dog is addicted!" about Dingos Rawhide (minis)

I have a 45lb boxer that loves these. Of course he loves the little ones that are easy for him to devour in a matter of minutes but still he loves them and it's a good way to get him to eat something other than my gym shoes. I also have a 13 year old cockerspaniel that cant chew much anymore because of losing so many teeth. The small bones are easy for him to chew on without the worry of him hurting his teeth further. All in all my dogs go nuts when they see these things...

intheshadows1887 says "These things are a big reason why dogs have 'accidents'" about Pet Select Pee-Pee Pads

I hate these things. Using these is like begging your dog to chew up paper and anything like that. Not to mention they are not all that absorbent. By using these you are only delaying training your puppy to go outside to go potty. In delaying it, it's harder to train an older pup how to go outside to potty so why not just train them to go outside to begin with? Big waste of money in my opinion...

intheshadows1887 says "I love this stuff!" about Nature's Earth Feline Pine Cat Litter (Size: 7lb.)

This stuff is awsome and honestly there isnt much of a price difference for me. I have severe asthma but I love my cats so I go against what doctors say and decided to keep them no matter what like any other pet owner should. Feline Pine really cuts back on the odor that can trigger my asthma attacks not to mention it actually smells good and the cats really like it. The only small downfall is that it still get tracked out of the litter box. But then again you can vaccum up feline pine because it turns to dust when its crushed where as clay kind your asking to buy a new vaccum if you do that....
