ingrid17 says "LOVED it!" about 300

While I love the classics, foreign films and the independents, I also love a good action movie. The battle scenes are amazing. Drags a little in the beginning & the last 10 minutes of the movie are not needed but the in between are just mind-blowing. If nothing else, fast forward to the battle scenes & just watch those for the cinematography. —...

ingrid17 says "Very entertaining but a little too neat." about The Kite Runner

I read this book on the recommendation of a friend. Very entertaining & interesting in how the characters grow over the years. Easy read. I have to say that I found the book to be a little too cookie cutter. I don't think anything was that much of a twist in the book & even some parts were expected. But nonetheless, still an enjoyable read. ...

ingrid17 says "Watch the movie if only to acquaint yourself with Javier Bardem." about No Country for Old Men (Book)

I must admit that I'm a little biased because I'm a HUGE Javier Bardem fan (Before Night Falls, The Sea Inside, The Dancer Upstairs) so I went in with HUGE expectations. What I didn't expect was to love the performance from Josh Brolin & Tommy Lee Jones. Hilarious!!! Bardem killed his role...one of the worst villains in a looooonnng time. My only complaint about the movie was the last 10 minutes. I'm still shaking my head wondering what that was all about. But from beginning to that part, loved...

ingrid17 says "I can see why it was nominated." about Atonement

After reading all the reviews & then the movie winning the Golden Globe, felt I had to go see it. And during the first 45 minutes I wondered what all the hype was about because the movie was playing out just like the trailer. I actually thought about leaving more than once. And then after that, it just took off & I fell in love. (Ok, and James McAvoy isn't bad to look at either.) Excellent film. I won't give anything away but just be patient & it definitely worth...

ingrid17 says "It's my new best friend. :-)" about Shark Retractor Bagless Vacuum

I picked this up about a month ago to deal with living with a few cats (namely 4). I've always been skeptical about hand vacs since they never seem to have enough suction. So not the case here. Very powerful. Love the fact that it's not the rechargeable type so can travel from room to room to get the job done. Nice long cord. My furniture hasn't been this free of cat hair since well...before I had cats. Absolutely no complaints. :-) —...
