indagarden says "Could this be any cooler?" about Apple - iPod Touch

What can I say about the ipod touch? I couldn't believe it when I saw the previews of it. It is a great little ipod. It holds music, videos and photos, but it also has wifi built in so you can surf the internet. It would be lovely to have a memo pad and be able to take notes on it, but perhaps in an update. You can read email only if you have webmail. There were some problems at first getting it to stay online at home, but reading the ipod touch forum at apple.com gave me the answer pretty quickly. It is only 16 GB, unlike the huge video ipods, but that is plenty for me and the other features make it my favorite ipod ever.
...

indagarden says "Your feet will thank you" about Crocs Cayman

When I first saw Crocs, I thought they were strange and a bit ugly. Then I tried a pair and have been living in them ever since. I have different colors and styles. They even have a new croc with a faux fur lining. It is cozy as can be for winter. I had plantar fascitis for a long time and had to be very careful about my shoes, wearing heel inserts and pads. I don't have to do this with the Crocs and I can wear them out for my daily brisk walk with my dog instead of athletic shoes. They're not dressy, but they sure are comfy!
...

indagarden says "A Handy Walk-Around Lens" about Sigma - AF 18-200mm f/3.5-6.3 DC OS (Optical Stabilizer) Zoom Lens for Canon Digital SLR Cameras

I have been wanting a zoom lens for my Canon xti. I first looked at the Canon Image Stabilized lens. Then I read about this Sigma Lens. It goes for a wide 18mm to a zoom of 200mm. I have just started using it and certainly haven't been disappointed. The pictures are sharp and clear. I do find that you are using the 200 length, it works better on one of the manual setting so that you can stop it down if you want lots of depth of field. None of the automatic settings seemed to give me the depth of field I wanted. It is also wonderful for portraits. I've just started using it, and I haven't been disappointed. I took a picture of a hummingbird sitting on a branch yesterday. I could never have gotten that shot with the stock 28-55 mm lens. The optical stabilization is really helpful, especially at 200mm. It has a lock to keep the barrel from drooping as it hangs down while you are carrying the camera, a lens hood that you can store on the camera when you're not using it. It is...
...

indagarden says "A Wonderful Camera!" about Canon - Rebel XTi Digital Camera

I was getting tired of the limitations of my little sony cybershot and missed the capabilities of my SLR film camera. I do love digital, though. I noticed many semi-pro photographers at a nature preserve I was visiting were shooting with Canon DSLR cameras. I started chatting with one of them and he told me about the Canon XT. He told me it was a compact DSLR, took excellent pictures and I might want to check it out. I started doing research and discovered that the XTi was going to be released in another month or so. I bought it at Costco and love it. It is so versatile, you can shoot beautiful portraits or snap some shots at sporting events. It has so many features that a year later I am still learning about all of them, but you can also just pick up and shoot. I've read that it's a good idea to buy the camera body and then buy a better lens, but Costco has such good prices that I bought it there and waiting a year and just bought a super-zoom.
...

indagarden says "See if before you buy, because two arrived damaged" about Griffin Technology Chrome mirrored case/iPod 5Gs (8112-5GREFLCT)

I bought one of these little cases for my ipod nano 3G and I love it. It covers the screen and protects it. It is sturdy and so far, has not scratched. The back is rubberized, but not rubber, so it doesn't slip out of your hands. I ordered another online for my ipod 5G. It arrived scratched. You could see scratches on the outside of the plastic package. I returned it, and received another with the same problem. When I looked online, I saw that many people had the same problem. I would recommend this case as long as you can see it first and make sure you don't get a scratched one. The weird thing is that the one I have for my nano has not scratched, so it may be a problem when they are stacked in boxes in a warehouse.
...
