immorgy says "Not just for organic and natural foods" about Sprouts - Broomfield, CO

Sprouts is a relatively new store that is spreading quickly in the Denver area. It seems to be making its mark as a competitor to Whole Foods, but in reality is a fantastic store regardless of natural or organic choices. Personally, I'm not a health nut or naturalist, so I shop here for the fantastic deals (19 cents per pound for oranges?? Rediculous!) and the quality of the food. I've found the staff to be very helpful when I have questions, and although they don't carry everything, they carry a good selection of different things.

The drawbacks to the store are the same as most other smaller stores: slightly higher prices on some things, not a fantastic selection of different things (this isn't a supermarket-type store), and it's a bit cramped in the aisles. The pros definitely outweigh these cons, though, and if you need something that Sprouts doesn't have, there's a King Soopers across the street...
...

immorgy says "Changing ownership is the best thing that could have happened" about IHOP - Superior, CO

I used to stay as far away from this IHOP as possible. It was dirty, the service was awful ( I recall once being asked by a waiter to leave because we had been there longer than the 30 minutes it usually took to eat and he needed to make more tip money), and the food was brutal. After the original IHOP closed and the building went through a couple of other restaurants that failed, new management decided to bring IHOP back, and completely renovated the restaurant. The result is absolutely incredible. The place looks fantastic and clean, the new ownership obviously knows what they're doing with hiring (the service is great), and the food is actually like home-cooked food (as opposed to the usual breakfast diner fare in other IHOPs, Denny's, or Village Inns). The only problem with the change is that the place is now so busy it's getting harder to get in without a wait! Although it is just another chain breakfast restaurant, it's a cut above, and definitely worth the price.
...

immorgy says "Best hotel on the strip" about The Venetian Hotel - Las Vegas, NV

Although I'm usually a budget conscious traveller, every once in a while I either find an incredible rate someplace or just decide to spend a little extra money to see how the other half lives. Of the two times I've stayed at the Venetian, thr first was because I found a great rate, and the second was because I missed the hotel and decided to spend a bit extra...

This place is absolutely fantastic, even by Vegas standards. Their rooms are all suites, huge, clean, and well decorated, and they've thought of all the little things that make frequent travelers enjoy staying there. The all-marble (faux marble, I would assume, although I don't know that) bathrooms are a fantastic touch, and the rooms themselves are incredible with plenty of room and a fully set off living area, separate from the bed area. Usually I don't spend much time in my room while in Vegas so I go cheap on the hotel, but to have something this nice to come back to is well worth the money to me.

The service is fantastic...
...

immorgy says "Works as a phone and an electronic device" about Motorola - MOTORIZR Z3 Cell Phone

The Motorola RIZR is fantastic as both a phone and with all of its additional capabilities. My previous phone was a RAZR, which I thought was okay but certainly had its issues... My new RIZR has solved most of these issues (number redialing, how to save to the phone book, etc.) and has given me the capability of personalizing my phone even more by being able to download pictures and songs onto my phone. I'm not a big phone techie, and admittedly have trouble using a lot of features on my phone, but I'm good with computers and software, so the availability of working on things on my PC and downloading them to my phone was very appealing and has worked out very well. The phone service (through T-Mobile in my case) is very good and the reception on my phone is good as well. I do travel quite a bit (both domestically and internationally) and have never had an issue getting service on my phone (although it is occasionally analog service when I'm in the middle of nowhere). The ease...
...

immorgy says "Get what you pay for..." about Audiovox - Audiovox Home Theater System

The old adage "You get what you pay for" almost always holds true in electronics, and this example is no different. It's a cheap system that provides surround sound via 5 speakers and 1 subwoofer and has a 5-disc DVD changer included. The major problem with this system is that it can only seem to handle activity for about 2 hours. Not a problem if you're watching a short movie, of course, but on the frequent occasion that I watch a movie longer than that or want to use it as a speaker system for my iPod for any length of time, it's an issue. Basically, it seems to overheat and just stops working at about this point. The fan runs continuously in this unit and even that doesn't help... Other than that issue, the system is just bad instead of terrible. The sound is decent quality, although not great; it has trouble reading some mildly scratched discs; the remote control doesn't work at certain angles; and it is very slow to react to requests. If all you want is a surround sound...
...

DaveCo Liquors is huge. Guinness Book of World Records huge. (Really... look it up!) They have an incredible selection of wine, and their staff is more than helpful in helping you to select one. They also have wine tastings on Saturday afternoons that are worth checking out. In addition to the incredible wine selection, they also have pretty much anything you want in the liquor department. The only drawback is the somewhat abrupt checkers, but their staff on the floor are very helpful and friendly....

immorgy says "Best breakfast sandwiches on the planet" about Salvaggio's Deli on the Hill - Boulder, CO

Even though it is right in the middle of "the hill" in Boulder, the atmosphere is conducive to everybody, regardless of age. They have, hands down, the best breakfast sandwiches of anybody, anywhere, and their other offerings are pretty good, too. Definitely try the Red Bellz, though......

immorgy says "Well worth a sale price for vacation, but not full price." about Grand Oasis Cancun All Inclusive - Cancun, QR

This hotel tries to bill itself as a top-notch all-inclusive resort in Cancun, and although it's very good, it's definitely not at the top of the list. I've stayed both in the outer hotels and the pyramid in the middle, and while the pyramid is much better, niether is worth a 5-star rating. The maids don't come on a daily basis, even when requested, and when they do come they do a haphazard job, although the rooms do stay fairly clean.

The nicest restaurants (which require reservations) tend to go quickly, but I never had an issue getting reservations for my wife and I, although other people swear they can't get them. I think something that is important to note with these is that the reservations are for an entire evening, not just for an hour or two, so that's why some people believe that they are constantly empty. They're not empty, they just have to space out the cooking times in order to not overwork the chefs or the waiters. Once you do have reservations, though, it's definitely...
...

immorgy says "Much better when it was the Aladdin" about Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino - Las Vegas, NV

Having stayed in this hotel as both the Aladdin and Planet Hollywood, I can say that they should have left the hotel as it was. In my opinion, they have completely destroyed the aesthetics of the hotel (both inside and out) and it now has a slightly creepy feel on the inside. On the plus side, the Miracle Mile shops (formerly Desert Passage) are still terrific as long as you ignore the decorating on the way to get to them.

The staff was rude at check-in, although we had no particular issue with them. Our biggest complaint was that our check-in agent was speaking to a bellhop about her date the previous night while we were checking in and when we "interrupted" to ask a question about the easiest way to get to the room, she rolled her eyes, sighed, and told us that they were all the same. We ended up going across the way to the Concierge to ask and she happily let us know the ins and outs of the casino.

The Spice Market Buffet is still great, and the gambling is pretty good here,...
...
