hmmmflutegirl says "Very frustrating phone" about GE - Cordless Phone Model 5-2688

I don't know how to use this phone. Is that strange or what? I have used telephones all my life so this should be easy...but no. When you push the button to turn it on, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I can type in the number of the person I want to call and sometimes it will dial, sometimes it won't. Sometimes I can get a dial tone, sometimes I can't. I hit redial...sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Get the idea? Another thing that is confusing is that sometimes after an attempt to call someone - which fails - I don't get the phone hung back up correctly and so anyone attempting to call our land line gets a busy signal. Nope, this phone is not for me (it belongs in my parents' house fortunately!) I will use my cell phone and forget the frustrations that I have with this model....

hmmmflutegirl says "I liked this a lot until I compared it to Flavia!" about Philips Senseo Espresso Machine

I received my Senseo Coffee Pot free a couple years ago during a promotion that Senseo was giving out. (They still have these promotions but often you have to pay fifteen dollars for shipping now.) Anyway, I took my pot home and tried it out and loved it! The coffee is fairly good and it makes the best foam ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love the fact that it makes an individual cup of coffee one at a time and that it is very quick. I also love the fact that I can purchase the coffee at the grocery store (unlike Flavia which has to be purchased online) because sometimes I run out and don't want to wait to get my coffee shipped to me. I like the Sumatra brand the best - it really tastes better than most of the other flavors.

The big problem here is that once I tasted the coffee made by the Flavia Drinks Station, Senseo couldn't compete in my head any longer so the Senseo coffee pot sits on the counter unused unless I run out of Flavia and make an emergency run to the grocery store. Senseo - except...
...

hmmmflutegirl says "I just love this coffe machine and coffee!" about Flavia Fusion - Espresso Machine and Coffee Maker FL401

My Flavia drinks station is my very favorite of all kitchen appliances. As a college student who has little time to sleep, I need that caffeine every morning. The coffee made in the Flavia machine is excellent - it tastes wonderful. I love the fact that I can make only one cup instead of a whole pot and that I can choose a different flavor of coffee or add-ins every time I turn it on. I favor the Columbia Roast myself and like the creamy topping to give it a little milk (as a college student I don't always have milk in my refrigerator) and this is a good option. My mom uses the Milky Way packets - they are a mix of carmel and chocolate and are also great if you like something sweet in your coffee. The coffee maker heats up the water in the pot very quickly (although I'd even like it quicker because I am always late) but I am really and truly satisfied!...
