hilleriffic says "What's better than an electric blanket on a cold stormy night?" about Biddeford Electric Blanket - Queen

I have had a whole bunch of electric blankets and this one has been around for two years. It still is working great and doing it's job just fine. It is a very standard electric blanket. It has a pretty long cord so that you could plug it in just about anywhere. The controller is very easy to use and the lit display is in very big and bright red lettering to see what setting you have put it on. It has an auto shut off feature that comes in pretty handy as well. The blanket I supose comes in a variety of colors and is also machine washable.

It states on the blanket, that you can wash it in the washing machine, but I would put it on a low setting in the washing machine so that the cords would not be dammaged. That is how I have been doing it and the thing is still working after two years, so it seems to be doing the working just fine.

I love having this blanket on a cold night. We put it away for the summer and I just happened to bring it out last night and felt so warm and cozy after just...
...

hilleriffic says "easy, but also frustrating at times" about Kodak Kodak Easy Share 5500 AiO Printer

I got the Kodak 5500 last year during tax season and was prepared to be amazed. I was mearly dissapointed. I have already had to send my printer back to the company and was without it for over a month.

I have had several issues with it. First of all, kodak states that you will be using less ink and I find that hard to believe. I rarely use the thing and have not even printed 20 pictures and it was out of ink. The picture quality is fantastic, but I was out of ink before my project was finished.

Sometimes it will say that it is out of ink and then I go and buy the stuff, only to see my husband using it when I get home and then he shows me the screen that says 75% remaing ink?!?!

That is the other issue. Sometimes it will give you faulty iformation of the status of the machine.

Kodak HAS however, been very helpful and cooperative when there is an issue. Everytime that I have called them they have taken the time to walk me through problem solving and most issues have been resolved. They...
...

hilleriffic says "This thing is fantastic!" about Kaz Softheat Heating Pad, Moisture or Dry, Deluxe

This heating pad is fantastic! It does a great job relaxing muscles and relieving joint pain and soreness. I have a sore back from herniated disks and have been instructed to increase blood flow to the injury area. My doctor says that heat therapy can help accelerate healing. Also, heat can effectively warm and loosen stiff muscles before exercise, so this has been a great way to do that.

This heating pad also has a moist heat setting for deeper heat penetration than dry heat alone. It has 4 heat settings low, medium, medium high, and high. It seems to heat up faster than the average heating pad also. I love the fact that you can use it and not have to worry about falling asleep with it left on, because it has a 60 minute shut off feature.

It has a fairly long cord and a very nice cover is also covered by a 5 year warrenty.

All in all, this is a great product that I would recommend to anyone. It is fairly cheap for the comfort that you recieve...around $20. It's great!

hilleriffic says "This thing has lasted for years!" about Rival Smart Pot

My husband got me this crock pot about 3 years or so ago and the thing just keeps on going and going! I have put some good hard abuse on it and my crock pot still remains faithful. I use it about twice a week and have since I recieved it. It has become just as useful to me as the stove. It is super handy for a busy family and big enough to feed a family of five and still have some leftovers.

It is very sturdy and not bad looking either. It has a few settings that are very conveinient. It has the low and high setting, but also the 4 hour, 6 hour, 8 hour and 10 hour setting. It also has a warmer setting that is extremely useful at parties and for keeping your partners dinner hot!

The only thing that I don't really like is that if you have it plugged in and in a spot where there is a lot of activity, then the buttons can easily turn the pot on. I have come into the kitchen several times to find my pot on and one time the handle melted. Oops! But all in all, this is a great buy.
...

hilleriffic says "Hydroxatone is skin tightening!" about hydroxatone AM/PM Rejuvenating Treatment

I was given some Hydroxatone from a friend of mine. I rarely use facial products, but am in my lower 30's and am starting to see the slight onset of wrinkles. Not using many skin products before, I was not believing all the hype of the supposed effects.

It did have some things about it that I did like and some that I did not. It is a little "fumy" if you get the product to close to your eyes. The fumes kind of burn your eyes and will make them water. If you are willing to put up with that though, then you will see some results within about a week or two. I was pretty surprised at the way my skin tightened up in that area. I used it primarily around my eyes and mouth.

I looked up the product online to see about getting some more and was pretty astounded by the cost. I don't think that I would pay that much for this product. You could probably find something similiar and that would not burn your eyes for a fraction of the cost.
...

hilleriffic says "Never ending entertainment!" about Apple - iPod Touch

I received an I Pod Touch for my birthday was amazed at all that it could do! I am very technically challenged and was blown away by how easy and fun that it turned out to be. The I Touch has every form of entertainment that you can imagine. You canload it with games, movies, music, and application's that specifically fit your life and needs.

There are a tremendous amount of application's that you can load onto your I Pod Touch, for example: a star gazing map that will help to identify the constellation's, a first aid guide to help you in an emergency, a dictionary, video games, health and diet applications to encourage you to live healthier, a fast food calorie counter, a translator, and even a mini piano in case you are bored.

Besides all of the application's that you can install (most which you can get for free), the I Pod Touch comes loaded with a calculator, a clock, calendar, and a contact list to keep track of your friends and families information. You...
...

hilleriffic says "Kaplan is a downer " about Kaplan University - Associate Degree in Accounting

I researched Kaplan a little bit and was talking with one of their sales persons for a few different phone calls. I learned that they are charging almost twice what a local college will charge you and also that if you take certain courses and earn credits with Kaplan and then decide to change schools, that your new school will most likely not credit you for the work that you have done at Kaplan. Also i read that quite a few people were told that their student loans were to be approved and to just go ahead and start the program only to find out later that they did not receive student loans and then were responsible for paying kaplan for the semester regardless if they had actually taken any classes or not. I don't need to waste my money...how about you?...

hilleriffic says "absolute adventure" about The Goonies

You have to see the Goonies if this is a movie that you haven't seen. your life just wont be complete unless you do! This movie also plays a special place in my heart because i was about in the fifth grade when this movie was being filmed just about a half hour from my house in Astoria Oregon. Can't tell you all the details, you'll just have to see for yourself, but if you like adventure, comedy, a lesson entangled in the plot, then you will LOVE this movie....

hilleriffic says "The Superior dog" about Boxer Breed

I grew up raising dogs and never thought that one dog breed could posses so many great traits! Boxers are loyal, funny, protective, and very obedient. They are always in need of attention though and do best with someone who can give it. They are great to have in a family with small children. They would absolutely put their life on the line to protect the baby of he house. On the down side of the boxer breed is just how much attention they need. It is just like having a 4 year old. Boxers do best if they have a routine as well. Bump them from their regular schedule and they will even become sad and depressed....
