hensolo says "Great plan if you don't talk all that much." about Virgin Mobile

I don't use my cell phone much, but I want to have it when I need it. This plan is great because I simply autopay them about $20 every three months and the unused minutes roll over. When I go on a trip or have a special event where I use the phone a lot, the minutes are there waiting for me. The coverage seems to be as good as with any other company. They also have ringtones, games, texting, and loads of other stuff I never...

hensolo says "I wanted a better propane grill, but I don't have much space." about Weber Q Grill

When my entry-level propane grill started to wear out, I wanted something better, but I don't have room for those Cadillac grill rigs you see everyplace. After reading reviews, I bought the Webber Q and I'm very happy with it. You need to preheat it for 20 minutes or so. This heats up the heavy metal grill (that thing must weigh 20 pounds), which holds the heat and apparently takes the place of the lava-rock briquettes most grills use. Makes it a lot easier to clean up! It makes nice grill marks and the food tastes good. Mostly I grill veggies, steak, and occasionally lamb chops. I bought the connector to use a big gas bottle, but it's nice to have the option of using a small welder's gas bottle and taking the grill to the...

hensolo says "Best place to check out those e-mail claims." about Snopes

When somebody sends me one of those forwarded urgent e-mails about some new scam or virus (or whatever) the first thing I do is search for a key phrase on Snopes.com. Most often the next thing I do is send a reply to the message sender with the Snopes.com link, suggesting that maybe they should check out these things before passing them on to everybody in their address book. Snopes.com is also a fun place to browse, look up things you remember hearing on the playground when you were a kid, or read rumors, true or false, about your favorite pop culture icons. (Hey, did you know Mr. Ed was really a...

hensolo says "My cat loves to nibble it and lie where I've sprinkled it." about Cosmic Catnip by Cosmic Pet

My cat, Annabel, comes running when she hears me open the Cosmic Catnip package. Contrary to common misconception, catnip isn't a drug and doesn't get cats high. It's safe, and most cats love the smell or to nibble it. I sprinkle it on her scratching box, and she rolls around in it. I buy Cosmic Catnip in the tub, so it's easy to seal and keep fresh. It keeps well for a long...

hensolo says "My cat loves it, and my vet recommends it." about Innova EVO (for cats and dogs)

My cat, Annabel, loves Evo. With all the kitty junk food out there (not to mention the recent scare) I feel it's important to make sure she gets good nutrition. Pets can't go shopping for themselves, so it's the owner's responsibility to do the research and try to keep the pets healthy. My vet recommends Evo, as do other cat owners and rescuers I know. It's not carried everywhere. I buy it at An-Jan in San Jose,...

hensolo says "Takes great pictures and small enough to take everyplace." about Sony - Sony Cybershot 7.2 DSC-P150

I've had this camera for a couple of years now and couldn't be happier. It has an excellent Carl Zeiss lens and takes excellent photos in most conditions. I use it at work all the time to take photos of everything from components to company events. When I take it on vacation, it takes great scenic shots, and the battery lasts for days! It's small enough to keep in my purse all the time. Press the power button and it takes less than a second to come on and be ready to shoot. The macro lens means I can get close to capture details of components. It has custom settings and overrides. The movie quality, with audio, is surprisingly good. If I had to pick a negative, it would be nice to be able to save uncompressed images instead of high JPGs, but I guess you can't have...
