hendricks8771 says "Great restaurant but needs some practice" about TGIFridays - Mechanicsville, VA

I love TGIFridays but I haven't been in a while with the economy the way it is. The location in Mechanicsville is the closest to my house and it is also one of the newest ones around. It has been a while since I've been so I'd like to think since it has been opened for close to a year now that the service has improved since my last visit...

hendricks8771 says "Gets the job done but maybe not with the first phone call" about Allstate

After 16 years of service my husband and I finally needed our insurence company (we were involved in an accident). They have since paid our claim and we are now taken care of but this was just last week and the accident was before Halloween. Each time we have called for something we have had to call and speak with several people before the matter was taken care of but it was eventually done....

hendricks8771 says "Rides like a car but is as roomy as a mommy-mobile should be" about Dodge Caravan - 2006

I was very worried about purchasing a minivan b/c I was worried I would feel like I was sitting up to high. However, driving my minivan feels no different then driving my cars used to feel. Infact, we are currently looking for a grand caravan to replace our caravan....

hendricks8771 says "Do it all" about Virginia Commonweath University

VCU offers many subjects of interest and many types of degrees. The best thing I can say for them coming from a community college is that they have an automatic admission process with the area community colleges. This is beneficial in that all classes are accepted and you are guarenteed into the college regardless of GPA...

hendricks8771 says "Great even for toddlers" about Evenflo Secure Solutions Top of Stairs Wood Swing Gate

This gate has been great for our older child (3 1/2 yrs). We have had it since he was an infant and we still have it. We still use it daily and he still hasn't figured out how to open it. We use it at night time so that if he wakes in the middle of the night he can't get into trouble and so the dog can't get into his room. He has occassionaly climbed out of it but not enough to stop using it. We have a second one at the end of the hall. We use it primarily to keep the dog our of teh living room incase we have company or we have the infant lying in the living room floor or something. We love it so much that we have recently purchased a third one for the opening of our infant's room....

hendricks8771 says "SUV of strollers" about Graco DuoGlider Double Stroller

This is great for walking around the mall and such while alone. Infant carriers are great while children are infants but they can weigh a lot. By the time you have two children you can be carrying a lot of things so this stroller makes it nice to carry everything and still leave your hands free. You have both the stroller and the carrier in one. The stroller is big enough for both children; it can be used with 1, 2 or no infant carriers. There is lots of storage space for shopping. It is bulky though. If I have another adult present that can hold my older son's hand then it isn't worth pulling it out of the car but if I'm alone it is great...espicially considering the price. It can all be purchased for $129 or so at Target. Then if you have a second vehicle you can purchase either a second carrier or just a second base and everything can still match....

hendricks8771 says "Great for looking in on the little ones without disturbing them" about Summer Infant Handheld Color Video Monitor

This is great for children off all ages. You can buy additional cameras. We currently only have one; we are using it on the older child (3 1/2 yrs). The baby is still in our room. Once we move him to his room we will get another camera for his room. We can see our son even when there are no lights on in the room. The hand held monitor is black and white but you can still make out everything so it is okay. The picture doesn't stay on the screen more then a couple of minutes but there is a button you can push to get the display back up....

hendricks8771 says "Perfect for the little one that doesn't like or can't lie flat" about Basic Comfort Supreme Sleep Positioner

Our little one cried a lot at bedtime so we started looking for something that snuggled him. We tried this and it was great. It turns out that he also has GERDs so it also worked well with that. It both keeps him from lying flat and it snuggles him. It is great...
