heisseliebe says "Miracle Worker!!" about Smashbox Foundation Primer

I can't rave enough about this stuff. A little bit covers all my imperfections and my makeup glides on smoothly and stays put for hours until I take it off! While I do find it pricey to buy a full-size (and so much is wasted with that pump bottle) I wait until there's free shipping (which is almost always), and on a Tuesday or Thursday from 12EST-5EST I order an item with the Let's Do Lunch special (a free full-sized product of the day with any purchase) and get a 1/4 sized sample of the primer during checkout. That tube definitely lasts a few weeks, so in the end I'm getting a few extra products and the equivalent of a full sized primer for the equivalent price! Definitely easier on the wallet! I love this company - cruelty free and donate a portion of their proceeds to legitimate charities - and I can't live without this primer!...

heisseliebe says "A great multitasker" about KitchenAid Stand Mixer - Artisan

When it came time to create our wedding registry, the first thing I flew to was the Artisan mixer. I had heard tons of reviews on how useful it was, how it lasted forever, and how it comes in so many cute colors! Sure enough, I found a color I loved - caviar, a sparkly black. I never guessed how much I would use it once I found out how easy it was to use. I use it to make bread, whip cream or egg whites, make compound butters, make all sorts of baked goods and probably most importantly (to me) - whip up a big bowl of chocolate ganache! The only downside is the attachments are so expensive - I've bought only the meat grinder so far to make sausages a la Alton Brown on Good Eats. Wish I could get more, but I can't justify it if I don't see myself using them overly often. Overall, I recommend this to any kitchen-gadget lover or newlywed!...

heisseliebe says "Fun for the family" about Nintendo Wii Console

I had my doubts about this system while it was in development stages. However stupid I thought the controller was in theory, in reality it's turned out well! Overall, this is an awesome gaming system... everyone from the three-year-old to the grandparents has fun playing it. I also love that I can play my Gamecube games on it. I have had to send the system in for repairs (busted disc reader). However, it's provided lots of fun for the money invested. Would definitely stand in line for one again if I had to!...

heisseliebe says "Portable diversion" about Nintendo - DS Lite Console

So maybe I'm not the typical DS user. I'm a law student, frequent traveler, married, and, as you can see, far removed from the typical age group or purchasing power that the DS normally sees (in that while my nephew and nieces can't buy games on a whim, I can! :D). I'm one of those "has to have the latest gadgets" people and I couldn't resist the DS. While I can't take my Wii or 360 anywhere, I can bring this as a backup for when I know I'll be waiting for a plane, waiting for class to begin, waiting for a friend. Very useful in that aspect. My husband borrowed mine overly often (he travels during the work-week) so I ended up buying one for him too. Battery power is great, and I love the starter kit that comes in the Lego Star Wars lunchbox (to match my favorite game on any platform!). My only complaint is that the games are pretty limited towards us old folks... because I know I'm not the only one out there who had to have one in the 20-something range....

heisseliebe says "Works great but drying" about Benadryl Allergy and Sinus Headache Gelcaps

I have extremely bad pollen allergies. Here in Atlanta, it's not uncommon for the pollen levels to be above 3000. While I get a steroid shot from the doctor, I still need an extra boost for allergy relief. Benadryl works pretty well, relieving my itching and some sinus pressure, but after continuous usage, my skin dries out really badly and the only relief I get from that is with expensive creams and lotions! It has worked better than all other OTC allergy meds, and I'm sure I'll continue using it regardless of the drying aspect....
