My daughter started kindergarten this year and her teacher keeps telling me how far ahead of the other kids she is, I attribute alot of that to the leapster. There are a few drawbacks, the games can get expensive and it does go through batteries, but all in all i'd have to say it was worth it. You can get good deals on the games, try resale shops or ebay.  We got the leapster for our oldest when she was 3, she's 6 now and still uses hers. —...
