hdmenges says "My daughter loved to walk with this" about Fisher Price Peek-A-Blocks Gobble & Go Hippo

I recieved this toy for my daughter's first birthday a few years ago and would reccommend it to everyone. It is a toy that can be ridden on or used as a walker type toy where the child pushes it from behind. It comes with food blocks that the hippo "eats" as it moves along. At first my little one prefered pushing the hippo and she got really good at walking too. After that was accomplished and she got a bit more agile she moved on to the riding option. It isn't difficult to move. Sometimes riding toys aren't smooth or they don't move very far. We didn't have a problem with this toy. It was fun for her but slow enough that I didn't fear her falling off suddenly. Also Fisher-Price toys are extremely durable. When my daughter out-grew this toy I was able to clean it up and pass it along to another person in my circle. It looked almost brand new. It's also gender neutral making it that much easier to pass along.
...

hdmenges says "Great little second oven" about Cuisinart Convection Toaster Oven

I have owned the Cuisinart convection oven for quite a few years now and I just love it. It doesn't take up a lot of counter space. I use it every day. I have done everything from make toast to bake a pie in it. It's especially convenient on holidays when I need to bake something at a different temperature. You can use regular or convection settings. I find I must cut the temperature back about twenty five degrees when I convection bake but it does cut about thirty percent off of your baking time. I like it because my tween-ager can use it to heat up a slice of pizza or make cookies by himself. It saves on electricity too. Instead of heating up my large range I can opt to use the cuisinart instead. There is enough room for a nine inch pie plate to go in. You can broil too. You must watch carefully if you do this because it's very powerful and can burn before you know it. It is a bit difficult to clean.
...

hdmenges says "Great new phone" about LG - Dare VX9700 Cell Phone

I recently purchased the LG Dare after experiencing frustration with the traditional flip-type phone. The hinge kept breaking so I asked the Verizon clerk for a non-flip phone. She directed me to the Dare. It is a touch screen, I find it fairly accurate. Sometimes I have to re-touch a button. I found it easy to program and set up. It takes fantastic pictures and video. I live far from my family so this option is a must for me. I also text frequently and the "keyboard" is great. MUCH easier to use than a standard keypad. You can hold the phone upright or sideways. The graphics are really clear. For fun I downloaded a game, Bejeweled. Easy and fun with a touchscreen. It is easy to load the calender with appointments. There is also a quick screen with all of your most used functions. My bluetooth synced easily. I would recommend purchasing screen covers and a hard carrying case to protect your phone.
...

hdmenges says "Greatest Video Game System Ever" about Nintendo Wii Console

I want to start by saying that I am not typically a video game player but the Wii has changed all of that for me. It is the most fantastic game invention ever. I bought the deluxe version at Costco. It came with Mario Party two Wiimotes and a nunchuck. I bought it for my 11 year old son's Christmas gift. We set this sucker up and in no time at all I was actually elbowing him out of the way so that I could play!!! There is a great deal of physical activity so I feel good about my kids playing with it. More so than a regular console. We have puchased several games. The graphics are great and the games are fun. We can all participate. It's a bit difficult for my 5 year old daughter to play but with practice I think she'll get the hang of it soon. It is expensive but well worth the investment. I guarentee you will buy some of the add-ons. The Wii Fit is great fun. There is no sitting down and great for a group.
...

hdmenges says "Very happy with this purchase" about Hewlett Packard desktop computers

I had an unfortunate incident with my old Dell computer recently and had to go purchase a new computer post haste. I compiled a list of requirements beforehand and went prepared to purchase. I ended up getting the HP w1707 with Vista. If you are an avid gamer you will have to upgrade the video card as the original is unequal to the task of handling complex graphics. I don't have a need for this so the video card is quite adequate for everyday purposes. I mostly use my desktop to shop, blog, print coupons, watch videos, email and generally keep up with the latest news and information. There is 500 GB of memory. I download a lot of music and keep pictures on my hardrive to send to family and for use on my blog. A lot of people have complained about the Vista operating system but I really like it and have had no problems with it at all. It reminds me what I have to do, which is nice for an absent-minded mom. The monitor is 17 in. flatscreen, very clear image. The sound...
...

hdmenges says "Fabulosity in a small package" about Honda Fit - 2008

We just bought our Fit a few weeks ago. Love it!!! The adjustable seating is so easy even our ten year old can do it. It looks very small on the outside but has a surprising amount of room on the inside. It idles smoothly, rides smoothly. We can feel the bumps a little more but we did switch from a minivan so that's to be expected. The one complain I have is that it doesn't have automatic door locks on the passanger side but that is a fairly small thing. The gas mileage is great, our salesman was fantastic and we couldn't be happier. We bought the base version....

hdmenges says "Just right for us" about Progressive

My family and I have always had very good luck with Progressive. Their rates are very low and coverage is great. When we bought a new vehicle a few weeks ago updating our coverage was done in a matter of minutes with only a $7 increase. No complaints here....

I really love this peeler. The handle is comfortable and non-slip. It cleans easily and the blade stays sharp a really long time. I would replace it with another just like it if I needed to do so. Does an extra quick job on potatoes....

hdmenges says "Love it" about Cuisinart Food Processor - 11 Cup Pro Custom DLC-8S

Love this processor. I can load whole apples into the hopper. Not much cutting needed to make things fit. I don't use it to make bread dough as suggested in the manual. It's just not powerful enough. For standard pie dough or cake batters, it's great. Good for slicing, chopping and grating. A really good processor....

I bought this between 5 and 6 yrs. ago and haved loved it ever since. My two favorite uses are making bread dough and triple batches of Christmas cookies. It cuts down on my time in the kitchen and my family really appriciates the fresh baked bread that I now make. I think that this is a very high quality machine, I've used it hundreds of times and it's still works as well as the day I took it out of the box. Worth EVERY PENNY!!!...

This is a nice machine for those of you who make ice cream less often and don't have a lot of space. I've used it a lot over the past two years and would reccommend it to anyone. It is a bit noisy but not enough to really bother me. My 10 yr. old can even use it. It's that simple....

My husband got me a shuffle for my Christmas gift last year and I love it. It was a perfect beginner ipod. Easy instructions and set-up. I am disabled and the ability to clip it to my shirt was invaluable. I am ready to upgrade now and will give this one to my son....
