happymom1 says "Come on Walmart-Get it together!" about Walmart.com

When I learned that Walmart no longer offers holiday layaway I was pretty bummed. However, while at the store being overheard griping, a lady pointed out to me that Walmart has this great service where you can shop on line and then have all your purchases shipped to your Walmart store. You don't pay shipping and everything is in one big tidy box for you to pick up at your leisure. I was totally excited about the concept. The next day I eagerly started shopping Walmart.com and was so proud of myself for getting my holiday shopping started without having to do the actually shopping part. As a mom, I started with toys for my kids first. I was immediately disappointed to notice that some of the things I searched for did not come up. Mind you, these were the same things I had seen in the Walmart store the night before when trying to put in a layaway. Then it got to the point where the things I could actually find would be all out of stock. I have three kids and of all three of their lists, I......

happymom1 says "Not impressed - what's wrong with good ole fashioned Coke anyway" about Coke - Zero

I am trying to lose a little weight. Unfortunately my office keeps a refridgerator stocked with Coke and Diest Coke for employees. I don't like the taste of Diet but i did recently try to Coke Zero on suggestion of a girl in my office that drinks them. I wasnt impressed. I know it is no calories, but whats the matter with regular old Coke anyway? I'll sacrifice the calories I think....

happymom1 says "Appropriate Pop Star Teen Queen" about Hannah Montana 2 - Meet Miley Cyrus

My 8 year old daughter got this CD for her birthday and it is all we have heard coming from her room since. I love that this entire CD is age appropriate and my daughter really enjoys it. Hannah Montana's (Miley Cyrus) songs are all positive and promote things like good friends and the fact that everyone makes mistakes. Finally an age appropriate and positive role model for young girls. Hopefully she won't be another Britney!...

happymom1 says "DVD Disappointment" about Magnavox - DVD/CD Player DP100MW8

My kids recently received this DVD player from an aunt that was visiting. It was a nice gesture but I was immediately worried about the lightness of it and it seemed a little low quality. Sure enough, it lasted about two days. My oldest daughter, whom I must say takes very good care of her toys and things, went to eject a dvd and it is stuck. Because it was a gift from someone out of state, I can't return it either. I ended up giving to my neighbor, who took it apart to try to fix, to no avail....

happymom1 says "Smells Awesome" about Herbal Essences Hello Hydration Shampoo and Conditioner

I have very long and thick hair. It is also a little on the naturally curly/wavy side and has some red in it which tend to make it feel coarse. I have to wash my hair every day and got really sick of paying alot of money for shampoo. I asked my hairdresser to recommend a cheap shampoo and she said Herbel Essences. I found this at Walmart for very cheap and I really like it. It smells awesome and I can use it for my three young daughters as well. We are big users of conditioner and my girls love how the packaging works together. It also comes in this beautiful blue bottle that matches my shower curtain! :)...

happymom1 says "Perfect Princess Present!" about Build-A-Bear

I know I am slow to jump on the bandwagon, but I recently took my oldest daughter to build a bear in our local mall. It was her 8th birthday and I told her she could get any toy she wanted (within reason) and a new outfit for her birthday. She immediately said - What about Build A Bear. We went in and had such a blast! She made her own little birth certificate for her bear, which she named Princess of course. We spent 45 minutes looking at all the outfits and making up our mind. She has slept with her Princess Kitty every night and took it to school for show in tell. It was so funny how she dressed her little Kitty just like her and really showed her personality. I had a great time with my daughter in this store and will remember this for a long time. I hope she does too!...

happymom1 says "Miracle Worker!" about Mr Clean Magic Eraser, Extra Power

I am a huge fan of the Magic Eraser. I am a single mom with three little girls under the age of 8 which means I have alot of messes and not alot of money! I have used Magic Eraser since they first came out and have found many great uses for them. They are great to clean little handprints off the walls and for scum in the bathtub and I will never forget the day it removed permanant marker from my kitchen table! Way to go Mr. Clean!...
