hannasdad says "I won't ever run out of gas with The Next Exit" about Explore The Next Exit before You Exit

I almost ran out of gas last summer. I was 3 miles away from having no gas when a gas station appeared. After that I somehow found Explore The Next Exit. The Next Exit has to be one of the most helpful books I’ve used. It’s 542 pages and is published every year. — I can’t count the number of times I’ve said to my co-pilot, Jo, “Please look up and see where the next gas station is.” She looks up the state and the highway we’re on. The book tells us where there is gas, food, lodging and stores. It tells us if these are east or west. — The only gripe I have as someone pulling a travel trailer is not knowing where propane is sold. That would be a great addition to this book. — This is the 2006 version. The 2007 book can be bought for $14.95 at — http://rvbookstore.com/shop/detail.aspx?m=2&p=319...

hannasdad says "Dos Equis goes well with Mexican food." about FEMSA Dos Equis XX Special Lager

— I recently had Dos Equis XX Special Lager while having Mexican food. It's made with hops, roasted malt, yeast and water. — Dos Equis has an ABV (alcohol by volume) of 4.8% just below average. — — Dos Equis XX is a mild beer with notes of malt, spices, citrus and flowers. It's slightly sweet. — — Equis Dos Special Lager pours to a beautiful amber/ copper/orange color. The small slightly off white head dissipated almost immediately leaving a nice degree of lacing. — Equis Dos is an easy to drink beer. It has a mild, pleasant, malty taste with slight carbonation and no aftertaste. It's perfect with spicy foods but it's easy enough to drink alone. — — — — — — — — — — — — — —...

hannasdad says "Negra Modelo is tops." about Grupo Modelo Negra Modelo

If Negra Modelo isn't my #1 beer it is close to it. — It's a full bodied, Vienna style lager beer imported from Mexico with an ABV of 5.3% (The average is 5.) — — The aroma is mild, sweet and malty. — — Poured into a glass I could smell hops, caramel, and roast. — — Negra Modelo pours to a golden brown with a hint of reddish copper. The head started out thick but dissipated pretty quickly leaving some lace. — The taste is mild, light and a little sweet though not overly sweet or I wouldn't like it. There are hints of malt, caramen and maybe some floral notes. It goes down very smoothly. — Negra Modelo has some carbonation. The finish is very nice and not overly dry with no bitterness in the aftertaste. — — As a Mexican beer this goes great with any kind of Mexican food obviously. I drink it alone or with any kind of food. Negra Modelo tastes best really cold. — — — —...

hannasdad says "Keyes Toyota did the job." about Keyes Toyota - Van Nuys, CA

I am traveling and needed an oil change. — I called Keyes Toyota in Van Nuys California on Friday night and asked if I could get an oil change while I waited. I was told to arrive early. I asked how early and was told 7:30am. I arrived Saturday at 7:30am to be greeted by Edgar, a service consultant, who told me to leave the car or come back at 11 or 12. I went to Paul, the service manager, who said he could take care of me. He sent me to another service consultant, Mario, who proceeded to do the paperwork. I was told that I might have to wait until 9:30, but at least they have computers for use by customers - and coffee and donuts. — I was initially very disappointed but satisfied after speaking with the service manager. I was out at 9am - with the oil changed and a complimentary car wash. — ...

hannasdad says "Being rude is not what they teach in salesman school" about Bluegreen Resorts - Falls Village

I was visiting Branson MO and decided to see what was new in timeshares. We agreed to attend an "around 90 minute" presentation. Those were the exact words on the form that I signed. After 90 minutes I indicated that I was not interested and would like to leave with the gift they agreed to give. That was when Kevin went to town. He berated my wife and me and continued to humiliate us in front of others. We spoke with his supervisor who apologized and authorized our gift. Kevin followed us out and shouted that we should "return when you can afford it." A wise salesperson would have apologized. Did he miss that introductory class in salesmanship 101? — Do not fall for the 90 minute lie or the statement in the Bluegreen brochure that "our presenattions are friendly, personalized to your needs - and never intrimidating." Kevin needs to read over the brochure again....

hannasdad says "They saved the day - service for a traveler passing through" about Howard RV Supercenter - St. Louis, MO

While traveling west towing my travel trailer, I ran into a mechanical problem with the hitch. I went online and found an RV service center nearby. Massachusetts is my home but I was in St. Louis. The first site listed by Google was Howard RV Supercenter. I called at 7:30am and spoke with Barb Bonifield. She said that they were swamped but would look at the trailer. This was a few days before Memorial Day weekend and the Supercenter was very busy. Well, an hour later I was on my way. Jesse welded on the saddles that connect the weight distribution bar to the trailer. I was thrilled and would recommend this company and Barb, the service advisor, very highly. —...

hannasdad says "Shell Gives Me Money Back - I Can't Say No to That" about Citi - Shell Gas MasterCard

I like to save money when I can so it's a no brainer for me to use Shell's MasterCard. — I don't go out of my way to get gas at a Shell station because that would defeat the purpose of saving money. I do plan my driving to try to get to a Shell station though. We are traveling now and I plan, for example, on getting gas when I see a Shell station even though I may still have 1/2 a tank. The reason is that I get 5% cash back. — Other than perhaps no-name gas that deal can't be beat. At the prices of gas at $3.00 and up a gallon this card saves me a lot of money especially when driving thousands of miles. The money adds up. — The cash back is credited on my charge the month following the charge. There is no fee for the charge card. I only use it for gas since I have other cards for other rewards. — ...

hannasdad says "I'm a changed man thanks to Clinique's Soap" about Clinique Facial Bar Soap with Dish

For Father's Day last year my wife bought me three items by Clinique. I have never been a person to care about the softness of my face but I'm a changed man. I love this stuff. — Jo reviewed my M Lotion which I liked so much I bought it online at www.clinque.com when I ran out. — The Bar Soap will last me forever. It comes in a plastic dish with a top to it so it's easy to travel with. It lathers really nicely. It leaves my face feeling clean and fresh. I use the M Lotion as a moisturizer but my face doesn't feel dry after washing like it had for the past umpteen years. — — I won't use products that have a fragrance to them. The Bar Soap doesn't. — — It costs $11.50. — ...

hannasdad says "Brian Whidden is a great Accupuncturist." about Brian Whidden - The Acupuncture and Herbal Center - Kingston, MA

I got a diagnosis of spinal stenosis which has to do with the spine and causes pain in my hips. Surgery is an option. I'm not ready for it. At the recommendation of two separate people I went to Brian Whidden a Licensed Acupuncturist & Herbalist. He does acupuncture on me and I take Chinese herbs at his recommendation. I've been seeing him for perhaps a year or more. — Brian works out of his house in a low key and comfortable environment. He has two rooms in which he works. During my first visit he took a complete history. It was very thorough. I was impressed. From then on he worked on me with needles. One week's needle placement is often different than another. The first consultation was about 1 1/2 hours and cost $100. Then it was $55.00 for about an hour or so. He now charges $65.00. — "Brian graduated from the New England School of Acupuncture (NESA) in 1995 and completed a certificate program in Chinese Herbal Medicine from NESA in 1996. Brian...

I have a Lenovo IBM ThinkPad T60 200744U Notebook. This machine’s hard drive is a 512MB, 60 GB The T60 costs upwards of $2000. These numbers not only affect the storage capacity but the rotational speed of the drive. It holds a lot of memory but it's given to me from my employer so I think it's geared toward the workplace. — — It is about 10 inches by 10 inches by 1 inch. The screen display is 14 inches which is measured diagonally. It weighs about 5 1/2 pounds. This has a matte style screen. The screen is clear. The colors are true colors. The graphics chipset is ATI Mobility Radeon X1300 with XGA type graphics. The video RAM type is DDR2 SDRAM with a maximum resolution of 1024 x 728. The resolution is fair. It could be crisper.
