hafner3031 says "Great TV for the price. Refresh rate is a little slow (60hz)" about Sony BRAVIA KDL-40V2500 40 in. HDTV LCD Television

Bought this for my son for Christmas. Price was $ 1200.00 with a package deal on a PS3 for an additional $ 399. He loves it of course. What kid would not want his own 40" LCD in his bedroom and a PS3 for he and his friends (and dad of course).

The HDMI inputs allow easy connection with all the new digital components on the market. Sony is a quality brand and the Bravia system has a proven track record.

Only negative is the refresh rate is 60hz, which means motion is a little blurry at times. The newer TV's with 120hz are much better but cost nearly twice as much.

Hope this review helps in your decision making process.

Best Regards,
...

hafner3031 says "Great TV for the price. Look for a package deal at Retailer" about Samsung - LN-T4061F Television

Bought this TV for my spouse. Started out with an HP plasma purchased at Best Buy and installed it. The analog signal was pixelating and horrible. I boxed it up and took it back the next day.

This TV was a great price for the money and works absolutely perfectly with my new PS3 system. 3 HDMI connections allows me to connect multiple Digital components to it with ease. Also bought a Samsung Blu-ray player for those wonderful HD movie experiences. This is because the PS3 does not upconvert standard DVD's to HD.

Can't wait for Digital Cable to come to my area so I can truly appreciate the real quality of the TV. For now we accept lower quality picture on analog cable and enjoy the blu-ray movies.

Just so you know, I am told your old tube TV will still work once they convert to all digital in 2009. A guy told me the signal from the cable company will still be analog, and your cable box will convert it to digital. Guess that is good news for the old timers who refuse to...
...

hafner3031 says "Finally Sony gets into the 21st Century" about Sony PlayStation - 3 (60 GB) Console

Well Sony you finally made it into the 21st Century. XBox has been out for how many years now. And you were bold enough to think that the PS3 was worth more than an Xbox?

Now that the price has been dropped ($ 399) for a 60gb it is now a reasonable alternative. The game selection has been limited so far, but in recent months, there are more releases coming. I chose the PS3 because of its' blu-ray capability. Considering the price of a single blue ray player and a game console combined, it is not a bad deal.

The only real negative is the blu-ray does not automatically upconvert standard DVDs', although they are compatable and the quality is decent because of the HDMI connection.

The battle between HD and Blu-ray is still waging on. If HD wins out, I guess I have a nice game console still.
...

hafner3031 says "Great Monitor for the Price" about ViewSonic Optiquest Q19wb (Black) LCD Monitor

Purchased this online at Comp USA for an unbelivable $ 129.00 during the holdiay season promotions. For a 19" LCD screen it is fantastic. The quality is good and the price was substantially below others on comparable quality.

I have owned several Viewsonic CRT's over the years and have been very happy with them, so I decided to try their LCD. The 19" screen is now becoming the norm and if you have the old CRT style, you can't afford not to upgrade.

The space saving alone is probably the best thing about any LCD. I was thinking of making a lamp out of my old CRT but decided to stuff it in a corner instead. What a heavy beast. Can't believe I paid $ 400.00 for a 19" CRT back in the day and was happy to pay it at the time. Technology has sure changed.

Soon the common sizes will be 24" and prices are getting pretty good already. When the right one comes along, I will pass this one along to my son and upgrade to the larger screen. Also full digital will be automatic and...
...

hafner3031 says "This is a great mixer and has all the right attachments." about KitchenAid Stand Mixer - Classic Plus

Great product with excellent value

Definitely need to get a powerful enough motor to handle every situation

Bought at Kohls during Christmas Season at substantial discount (Hence the Bargain Hunter tag).

Great for bread making.

I would definitely recommend the middle of the line mixer since the value is better and still provides all of the positive features you need.

In making our decision to purchase this mixer, we went with a brand name and selected the middle of the line in price. You can buy much more expensive mixers and pay 3 to 4 times as much for them, just to own a trendy name that does basically the same thing as the Kitchen Aid Mixer.

I hope this review has been helpful and best wishes for a great holiday season.

Sandra Hafner........

...
