grizgrizglamcat says "A Place of Delicious Food and Beauty!" about Pickety Place - Mason, NH

PICKETY PLACE

Pickety Place is a beautiful place in Mason, NH. It is literally a cabin in the woods where amazing food is cooked. Every month, the people at pickety place come up with an exciting new menu of all healthy foods to serve to their customers. The customer gets to choose from two drinks and two main dishes. I recommend going with a person and buying opposite things in order to taste everything. Everything is great! Anyway, they have great gardeners who go out and fix the most beautiful gardens. In the summertime and spring, flowers are everywhere! The place is a sight, but there isn't a lot of room so I recommend getting a reservation. A lot of women drag their husbands there, but it is a great choice for a ladies day out.

The drive there is hard, especially if you were to run out of gas because there are no gas stations for miles around it. The hill to Pickety Place has a bumpy dirt road and parking can be difficult. But they do have the greatest...
...

grizgrizglamcat says "Smaller in Size, Just as Great in Fun" about Pleasant Company Miniature American Girl Doll Collection

The Miniature American Girl Dolls are just like the bigger versions and come in the clothes from their era in American History. They are 61/2 inches tall, have plastic limbs, a torso made of fabric, and soft hair to be brushed. There are nine of them total in this set and girls with little hands may have more funcreating scenes and comflicts for them.

Individually, they are $19.99, but the whole set is $165.00. I don't think that the picture online or in the American Girl Catalogue does the little dolls justice, because they are much prettier to look at in person. This is the list of the dolls that come with the set and their era.

Julie and Ivy 1974

Molly and Emily 1944

Kit 1934

Samantha 1904

Addy 1864

Kirsten 1854

Josefina 1824

Felicity 1774

Kaya 1764

The dolls in the picture are: (Top row left to right)

Kit, Samantha, Kaya, Felicity, Molly, Julie, and Josefina.

The dolls on the floor are: (Bottom left...
...

grizgrizglamcat says "Samantha's Winter Holiday Coat" about American Girl Samantha

Samantha's Holiday Coat was given to me for Christmas. I took it out and held it and thought that it was the most beautiful article of clothing made by the Pleasant Company. When I put it on my doll, I was sure that it would make her come to life and start Christmas Caroling right there!

The coat is a beautiful purple color with a faux fur trim, but the buttons may be difficult for little girls to put on because it has snaps and little hooks. The outfit comes with the coat, little black mittens, and a hat with little flowers on the velveteen band. It is made to wrap around your little 18" Samantha doll and will fit any of the other American Girl Dolls. It is $26.00 and can be ordered from americangirl.com or the American Girl catalogue.
...
