gretchygirl32 says "Awesome Liberal Arts School" about Marietta College

I graduated from Marietta College in 2000 with a B.A. in English. My sister and brother-in-law also graduated from there. My stepmother also graduated from MC. We all love this school! In fact, my dad and stepmom got married on campus! Not only did we receive an excellent education from dedicated and caring professors, but we now have a place that will always feel like home to us, because that's what MC becomes to so many students. The campus is gorgeous no matter what the season is. The food is great. The community of Marietta is very supportive of the college and its students. My dad loves going to all the home baseball games. It's small enough to be safe and big enough to be entertaining. I didn't even live on campus-I commuted-but I still have so many wonderful memories of attending Marietta College. I recommend it to anyone who wants a degree that actually stands for something. In fact, the school is well known in the Ohio Valley. I obtained a job over an...

gretchygirl32 says "Scam school-not worth the money and time" about Aviation Institute of Maintenance - Lawrenceville,GA

My husband attended the Aviation Institute of Maintenance in an attempt to make a career change. The people there are very nice, but the school itself is a bit of a scam. Students are led to believe they'd get a degree or certificate equivalent to a degree. They are not told the classes will not transfer to a traditional school. They are used to obtain the maximum amount in student loans as well as any personal student loans they can get. After six months my husband realized that what he expected to get from the school just wasn't going to happen. He dropped out and now we are stuck paying the loans taken out for the school. Please be wary of the school and make sure you know your options if you choose to sign up. Perhaps this was just a personal bad experience, but in the end we have determined the school is more of a scam than an educational...

gretchygirl32 says "Don't Judge This Pizza By Its Looks" about Dominos Crispy Melts Pizza

I ordered the new Dominos Crispy Melts Pizza. It was delicious! At first when I looked at the pizza, I had a bad feeling I'd have to make something else for dinner. It just didn't LOOK good. After taking a few bites I fell in love with it. The two layers of crust make you wary, but it's almost like a pie crust. I expected my husband to dislike it because he's not a big crust eater, but he actually enjoyed it too. I'd recommend it. The only thing I'd like is a little more cheese in the center, but this can be remedied by ordering extra cheese....

gretchygirl32 says "Expensive but much more convenient" about University of Phoenix - Online Campus

I went to University of Phoenix to obtain my Masters in Education, which I did. I found the school to be very convenient, as I was not able to take the time to drive to and from a real campus. After I began the program I was able to continue even though I became pregnant. I took a short break when I had the baby, and because everything was online, was still able to finish the program basically on time. The cost is much more than a traditional university, but the convenience made it worth it to me. I did not like the "learning teams." Typically I would volunteer to do all the work so I could get it done early in the week. The great thing about online learning is being able to do work when it's most convenient for you. Having to function in a team takes away a lot of that convenience. Also, I feel that at a graduate level, students should be allowed to just do their own work and not prove they can work in a team atmosphere. I understand the philosophy behind teams, but I found them to...

gretchygirl32 says "Well worth the money" about Britax Marathon Car Seat

I decided to splurge and get the Britax Marathon when it was time to move my baby up from the infant carrier. Well, actually my mother in law went in half with me. It was well worth the money! I love being able to adjust the straps in the front. The cover is so plush and soft. The seat seems cushy and comfy for my baby. We have it rear facing right now. In my Nissan Sentra it was a tight fit and didn't leave much room in the front, but in my 4-Runner it fits just fine. I'm happy that I can use this seat up to 65lbs. It will remain rear facing as long as it is able to (I believe 30 lbs or maybe 35 lbs and as long as the child's head is at least an inch below the top). Then we will turn it around. For now, as a rear facing carseat, it's awesome. I have no doubt it'll be even better forward-facing! I love all the cover choices. We picked a UGA cover, but if we ever wanted to change, as long as we're willing to pay $50-$80, you can change it....
