gords17 says "Baby Einstein videos are to me a shower!" about Baby Einstein DVD Collection

I would be lying if I said that I show Baby Einstein videos to my son because they are educational - yes that's a huge consideration - but the main reason is that Baby Einstein videos mean I can take a shower! My son loves watching these and their 22 minute length allows me just enough time to jump in the shower and dress without worrying that my son needs attention or is unhappy. All of the DVD's are amazing - Baby Van Gogh, Baby Mozart, Neighborhood Animals, Baby Neptune, Baby Shakespeare...I would be hard pressed to choose a favorite. The same with my son. The production quality is amazing, the images and music captivating for babies and toddlers. There's a reason that I just don't blindly turn on the television and put him in front of any program that's on. I choose Baby Einstein videos because he can learn and be stimulated at the same time. The best part is I don't feel guilty putting him in front of a video so I can have a little time for myself. That is worth every penny!...
...

gords17 says "The Playtex Diaper Genie Pail is a life saver!" about Playtex Diaper Genie Pail

If any of you have been subjected to a the stench of dirty diapers than you will appreciate this product. The Playtex Diaper Genie Pail is a life saver! You just put the dirty diaper inside, twist and the smell is gone. We live in a small apartment so it's important that my entire place doesn't stink like baby poop. I don't know what I would do without this. A matter of fact, this is my go to gift at baby showers. Every new parent needs a Diaper Genie. The only downside is the cost and installation of the refills. First off, you can buy them in bulk at kmart or costco to cut down on the cost. But taking out the bag of dirty diapers to install a diaper genie refill is my least favorite activity. Once you get the hang of it it's no big deal but at the beginning I ripped a bunch of bags and had dirty diapers spill onto the carpet. Not pretty. But still - I would whole heartedly recommend the diaper genie to all new parents.
...

gords17 says "Peg Perego Prima Papa High Chair is worth the price!" about Peg Perego Prima Papa High Chair

The Peg Perego Prima Papa High Chair is worth the price! We love this high chair. First off, the tray comes on and off which is great if you need your child secured for some other reason than just to eat. I often put him in it to watch television so I can leave the room without worrying that he's going to get into trouble. He likes being high up and I like that he's safe and secure. The other good thing about the tray coming out is it makes for easy cleaning. This is a huge plus because kids are extremely messy and I like to make sure all of the food particles are removed. The top of the tray comes off so you can actually wash it in the sink! After it's dry you can just pop it back on in a second. The other plus of the Peg Perego Prima Papa High Chair is the fact that it closes up easily and is on wheels. We live in a small apartment so every inch of space matters - to be able to roll it to the other side of the room of just close it up is a great perk. This high chair...
...

gords17 says "The Britax brand guarantees safety!" about Britax Marathon

Even though we live in New York City and don't drive that often, it is important to have a safe car seat for my son. When I went shopping I was looking for safety, reasonable price and something that would last for a long time. The Britax brand pretty much guarantees safety. So it was no-brainer to pick out this car seat. It was easy to install - the tether to the back seat makes me feel like my son was really secure. When we get in the car, we are often in a rush because the city streets don't allow for much dilly dallying. I never need more than a minute to buckle him in and he finds the seat super comfy. I know because he usually falls asleep within minutes :) The only drawback to the Britax Marathon is the style of the car seat cover. I found the choices a little boring. I would have liked something a little more fun. But other than that my family is a fan of the Britax Marathon and would purchase it again in a heart beat!
...

gords17 says "The most durable stroller on the market!" about Maclaren Quest Stroller

I love my Maclaren Quest Stroller. I've had it for over a year and it is a pleasure to use. I find it to be the most durable stroller on the market. It handles the rough terrain of New York City like a champ. It's easy to maneuver and a cinch to close up in a hurry. You can do it with one hand if you are holding your baby or diaper bag or anything else us moms seem to be carrying at all times. The seat goes back enough that my son takes his naps in there. He likes it so much that he now refuses to nap in his crib and only naps in his MacLaren! I also find the storage underneath is spacious and the pocket in the back is perfect for pacifiers, snacks etc. The best part about it is that it's not too heavy. Usually when something is durable it's hard to lift, but the MacLaren is made to be easily transportable. Without the help of my husband I can take my son out, close it up and put it in the trunk. Not an easy task for many stroller models! I don't mind the extra...
...
