gkeith55 says "Friendly service and chocolate chip cookies" about Hampton Inns - Durham, NC

When I travel by car across the United States, I like to stay at Hampton Inns.

I sleep like a baby in their beds, eat like a horse at the complimentary breakfast, and save enough money to pay for gas.

I recently spent a couple of nights at the Hampton Inn in Durham NC while moving my daughter into her dorm room. The staff was extra friendly at this Hampton and the pool was a great place to relax after a long day of hauling boxes.
...

gkeith55 says "Avoid this behemoth" about Verizon Wireless Network
I was a customer for Verizon Wireless for about 2 years and had a Verizon landline for an additional 10. I chose Verizon Wireless because I always thought Verizon was an excellent company.

I will never do business with either one again although this company's near monopoly makes my choices limited.

After Verizon failed to provide a phone, fix another one, and misrepresented the terms of its service and contract, I had to sue Verizon to get out of the contract I signed. Then it ignored the court. The arrogance of this company and its incompetence is unbelievable.
...

gkeith55 says "It's black; it's sleek; it's nothing like me" about Apple - iPod 8GB Media Player

Okay, I'm going to join the Ipod bandwagon. I have several, but my favorite is my nano.

It's sleek and black and cool. Nothing at all like me.

At 8 gigs, it doesn't hold nearly what a standard Ipod would hold, but it's slim style allows you to easily carry it in your pocket.
...

gkeith55 says "Why go out to the movies?" about Sony - all widescreen TV's

Do you like movies?

Do you hate people talking on their cell phones or getting up to get more popcorn duing the middle of the movie?

There is no need to support the cinemas and their ridiculous prices. Stay at home and get yourself a big screen Sony TV. Why a Sony? They will last. The picture is fantastic. You won't regret it....

gkeith55 says "A great way to experience a foreign culture" about VBT - - Bristol, VT

My wife and I wanted to take our two daughters on a trip to France this summer. We had always wanted to try a bicycling trip and found a cycling tour of the Loire Valley offered by VBT.

We bought our airfare through them as part of the package. Our travel arrangements were great although other people had problems with theirs.

Our guides were terrific, the accomodations were luxurious, and options were given for each day of cycling.
...

gkeith55 says "This is the way to fly." about Southwest Airlines

I booked a one-way ticket from the west coast to the east coast in August.

I was apprehensive (dreading) this trip because ... it was on Southwest Air, often called the cattle car of the skies because of the way it herds passengers onto and off of its planes.

I chose my flight because: one - it was dirt cheap (about $100) and two - it was nonstop.

I don't like the fact that Southwest doesn't assign seats which creates a rush at boarding as people try to get a favored seat. However, I was able to get my aisle seat covered in leather no less. Plus the legroom was far more than I recently experience on American and Delta.
...

gkeith55 says "13 years and 118,000 miles and still running fine" about Toyota Camry - 1994

When I bought this car new in 1994, I thought I was overpaying. Maybe I was, but the car is still running with nothing more than a regular oil change. When it finally gives out, I'll definitely be looking at another Toyota. Why can't an American car company build a product with the same quality? It's not American workers, because I understand that my Camry was built in Ohio....
