giraffe454 says "Short read if you can find the 5 pages of articles in the ads" about Cookie

I pitched in the $13 for the first year to be a "charter subscriber" to this "new, hip" magazine. The "free bag" drew me in as well as the claim for "new, upscale information". The bag was the cheapest free magazine gift I ever recieved, a tiny piece of nylon crap. Humorous when the magazine touts such expensive, high quality products. I figured the magazine would be something different than the usual "Parents" and "Parenting" magazines I'm always reading. I was very dissappointed in how little information was actually in this magazine. I am estimating there was maybe 30 pages of articles and information in about 150 pages of magazine, and thats estimating high for the useful pages. Nearly the entire magazine was filled with extremely overpriced products and clothing for kids. And even their "affordable" vacations were always in the multiple thousand dollar price range. I loved that every suggested vacation came complete with on site daycare. Why not just leave the kids at home if...
...

giraffe454 says "Over priced but it does works" about Desitin Diaper Rash Cream

Desitin Diaper cream will work to get rid of most diaper rashes, but it is very expensive. The Target version of this works exactly the same and costs one-third the price. I find it hard to spread if there is any moisture on the area it is applied to. I also think that it takes a fairly significant amount to properly protect the diaper area. The tube is hard to get the cream out of as it starts to run low. I have had this cure both bad and mild diaper rashes, and it will usually clear up or significantly heal most rashes overnight, if liberally applied at bedtime. Helpful hint: If you have a really bad diaper rash with open sores, put neosporin or bacitracin on the sores covered by diaper rash cream overnight. Works like a charm to heal sores and doesn't hurt the kid! ...

giraffe454 says "My son can't sleep without this!" about Baby Einstein CD Collection

Although I am not a fan of the Baby Einstein videos, I loved these CDs. My 3 1/2 year old uses the lullaby cd to fall asleep every night. The cds are reasonably priced for childrens cds, and filled with classical music and soft childrens music (for example the Lullaby Cd has a variation of Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star). The music is also great to dance to, and since it has no words it works great to inspire creativity. We love making up song lyrics to go with our favorite tunes....
