gigi30 says "Perfect for us!" about Hasbro Chutes and Ladders

I love this game! My 5-yr-old son and I play it at least every other day. There's only a few pieces to have to keep track of, and there aren't too many rules for him to have to remember. It's simple, but fun, enough to keep his attention. It has helped teach him to take turns, count, and how to handle winning (and not winning) in a good way. We tried a couple of other board games before this, but they were just too complicated and in depth for a somewhat hyper, active kindergartner. This was perfect for him though. Makes for great family time!...

gigi30 says "love it!!!" about Bissell Steam Mop

i saw the reviews for this mop on this site... ended up buying it from HSN.com... and i adore it!!! i've been looking for a good mop for my floor for so long! we put in saltillo tile last year and have had the hardest time cleaning it!!! i can't use any chemicals on this tile, so this mop is great in that i just use water. and i don't have to worry about using the nasty water in a mop bucket or my sink. the pads are so easy to just throw in the washer to clean. and the floor dries quickly.

the only con to this is that we have wide grout lines that tend to dip down a bit, so water does collect some in these. but it did that with regular mops too. so i just take a towel after i'm done with the house and clean up any water that has collected. most people with normal tile or linoleum will not experience this problem though.

the cord is short, like others have said. but i don't particularly like dragging around a cord anyway and will usually plug something in in each room i move to. i filled...
...

gigi30 says "the best!!!" about Mr. Clean Magic Eraser

i got a free sample of this when it first came out a few years ago, and i've never been without one since!!! when they used to show the commercial of the lady searching for things in her home to clean because she liked using it so much... well, that was me! :) it is perfect for cleaning grime on the outside of the fridge and the stovetop, getting grease spots off the backsplash of the stovetop, cleaning jello stains off the white countertop, marker stains from the kids.... i could go on forever! there were things that had never been 'completely' clean in our home, no matter what i used. but the magic eraser got them clean.

the only problem i have is with the stores that carry them. many seem to have gotten smart and only order the more expensive ones they've come out with... the ones with dual sides, or that's shaped for your hand to grip. those aren't necessary... the original is perfect as is. but they make more money off the special ones, so i'm forced to buy those if that's all they...
...

gigi30 says "great prices and customer service" about Geico

we have geico for 3 cars in our household, and we pay soooo little it's amazing. i've called other companies for quotes before, and when each one heard what i was paying with geico, they told me to just stick with that. my dad is with geico as well, and just had a wreck, and they've been working fairly quickly to get the claim done. their customer service reps are friendly and very knowledgeable. an extra bonus - you can do everything with them online....

gigi30 says "customer service could use a bit of work..." about Sprint Nextel

the best thing i can say about sprint is that we get a decent rate for many phones on a family plan, and that many of my friends and family use it so i get free calls to those in the network.

other than that, i haven't had too much luck with them. their coverage area is ok. but their customer service, billing, etc, has been pretty bad. we have billing problems all the time, and sometimes it takes 3 months of calling and being told something will be done about it for it to finally be fixed. i have had a horrible time with the phone i bought through them, and it finally completely cratered so i was able to get a replacement (which i still had to pay $55 for).

...

gigi30 says "Couldn't put it down!!!" about The Rescue

I have read 4 of Nicholas Sparks' books, and I think this has to be my favorite. Like all of his books, it follows a beautiful love story, but the suspense that accompanied most of the book made it very hard to put down. I have 3 young children, so finding time to read isn't easy. But I found myself finding every moment I could to finish the book (and I managed to finish in just 2 days!) This is one I want to keep and not trade... I think it will be great to read again in the future.

To sum it up quickly, it follows a mid-thirties aged man who has trouble keeping relationships. He meets a woman with a young son who has some developmental problems. It mainly follows his relationship with both her and her son, his involvement in the volunteer fire dept, and the mom's relationship with her son and the dedication she has in helping her son with his development.
...
