geistswoman says "Next time I will use 1-800 Flowers instead!" about FTD

I have used FTD in the past and never had a problem. Up until this past week I definitely would have recommended them. However, this last experience used up any patience I normally show and it definitely used up any second chances!

On the Sunday night before Thanksgiving, my husband ordered me roses to be delivered to my job. They were to arrive on Tuesday. Late Tuesday afternoon they show up via Fed Ex. I noticed on the shipping label that they were mailed out on Monday. When I opened the box, I found the flowers were already dying. They weren't shipped in any water. No floral foam or individual vials for each stem. Because of FTD's guarantee that all their flowers will arrive in "exceptional" condition, I called to say something. I explained that the flowers didn't ship in any water and because of that they were almost dead. The sales rep apologized and said they would re-send but the earilest they could would be on Saturday. I said that was fine but they would...
...

geistswoman says "Great food and they deliver!" about Chun Bo - Levittown, PA

There are a ton of Chinese restaurants in my area but this one is my favorite. The food is fantastic and they have delivery! My husband and I order from here so much that when I call for delivery and give my address the girl on the phone knows most of my order. They have all your typical menu items you'd expect from a Chinese restaurant. Based upon the dollar amount of your delivery order, they always include something extra....maybe a can of soda, an eggroll, a pint of fried rice or an order of hunan chicken. The driver who delivers the food is always very nice and appreciative of the tip I give him. They haven't answered their phone the last few times I've called and I'm getting nervous. I hope they are just on vacation! They're the only Chinese place I can find that delivers....

geistswoman says "I turn off HGTV to watch this show...and that's saying something" about Heroes

Everyone talks about this show at my husbands job, so when he heard G4 was going to have a Heroes marathon and replay season one, he set the DVR to record it. I initially had no interest. Between 24 and Lost, that's enough drama for me. The rest of my time is devoted to HGTV. Boy, was I wrong! After watching the first two episodes at one shot, I was hooked. We watched the entire first season over a period of one week!

Very fast paced and packed with interesting characters and plot lines. A lot of people are saying it is a bit confusing, but I don't think so. You do have to pay attention though. It's great the way all the characters eventually tie together. It just shows how small a world it actually is.

I think I have two more episodes to watch tonight and I will be caught up on season two. While I'm still fascinated with the show, I have to say that season two hasn't impressed me all that much. They're introducing more characters but it is still too similar to season...
...

geistswoman says "The only bed I'll ever buy!" about Sleep Number Bed - Select Comfort

Three years ago my boyfriend moved in with me and my queen sized bed was just too cozy. I like my space! We decided we would upgrade to a king size. After doing a lot of research on all the different options available, we decided on a pillow top, sleep number bed with one remote. I liked the idea of two remotes so we could each keep one on our own side of the bed in case we wanted to change the mattress' firmness in the middle of the night. However, two remotes means two motors which translates to more dollars! We opted for one remote because in the grand scheme of things, you really won't change the setting on the bed all that often once you find your desired setting.

The motor hides easily enough under the bed so you don't have to worry about it. The "mattress" is actually like a series of inner tubes that you adjust the amount of air. Between the two separate air chambers is a block of foam. It's kind of weird to roll from your side of the bed which is at one setting...
...

geistswoman says "The best carribean resort for a couples vacation" about Sandals Resorts

Sandals Resorts in the Carribean is the ultimate in Adult Couples Only, all inclusive vacationing. So far, I've been to two of the resorts. Sandals Bahamas and Sandals Antigua. Both are equally amazing. What differentiates this all-inclusive from the others is that it truly is ALL inclusive. No additional charges for motorized water sports, SCUBA, etc. There is a SCUBA fee though if you are not already a certified diver. I love it because it is an adult only resort. Granted, "adult" means 18 and older, but both times I went the resort was primarily occupied by people in their late 20's and up.

Service is impeccable. The rooms are charming and clean. There are tons of activities to participate in, if lying on the beach isn't your thing. The entertainment is a little cheesy, but still fun. Most everyone visiting is either getting married at the resort, already on their honeymoon, or celebrating an anniversary. Both times I visited, I was none of these things, but...
...

geistswoman says "Something for everyone" about Las Vegas

I've been to Las Vegas 3 times and each time was fantastic. This is one town where a "plan" is handy but not necessary. There is something for everyone. Kids obviously can't spend time on the casino floor, but there is a ton for them to do. MGM for example has a huge theme park attached to it. Each hotel/casino is has it's own theme and you can spend days exploring without once dropping a quarter into a slot machine.

The restaurants are endless. From your $1.99 buffet breakfasts to your $1000 a plate meals. The shows and entertainment is also endless. From the stars performing on stage to the Elvis' performing on the street.

Tired of all the hustle and bustle the busy city oozes? You're just a short bus ride away from the Hoover Damn or if you're feeling adventurous, an hour plane ride away from the Grand Canyon.

Depending on what you want from this trip, three days is plenty but 2 weeks isn't enough! You're best bet is not to try and squeeze it all in at once but plan...
...

After a year of saving and a year of marriage, my husband and I were finally able to take our honeymoon. It was a dream vacation of a cruise to Alaska. We went the second week in September which was the last cruise for the season. This was my first cruise and I was a little nervous. The Princess Coral was around 96 tons and held 2000 passengers. I was concerned about what I would do all day long. Since it was Sept. and we were going to Alaska, I didn't think I'd be sitting by a pool all day! I was right about that. However, there was still plenty to do.

The service on the ship was incredible. Each night our bed was turned down with a chocolate mint left on our pillows ( I was a bit disappointed that the room steward didn't fold our bath towels into little animals as I was told they did on all ships) and our "Princess Patter" was in our mail slot. This paper listed all of the next days activities as well as information on where we'd be sailing that day. There was...
...

geistswoman says "Great restaurant when you want something a little nicer" about Anthonys On The Delaware - Bristol Borough, PA

Anthony's on the Delaware was recommended to me by a friend who is a VERY picky eater. I figured if she liked it, I was sure to find something. The first time my husband and I went was with his parents for our anniversary dinner. We were seated on the second floor by the windows overlooking the Delaware River. A great view and it was really nice to watch some of the boats going by. We loaded up on appetizers to start. Mozzerella squares (a bit larger that the average mozzerella stick), calamari with a red dipping sauce and bruschetta. There was plenty for all four of us to have some of everything (although my father in law is a vegetarian, so that just left more calamari for me :) ).

I ordered a seafood combination plate that had decent sized shrimp, crabcakes, flounder, veggies and rice. I ended up getting three meals out of that! All the seafood was excellent. The rice was a little bland. The pomegranate martini more than made up for the bland rice though :)

My husband...
...

geistswoman says "My favorite sushi restaurant" about Tako - Bensalem, PA

Tako is a tiny BYOB japanese restaurant. Located in a small stripmall center, my husband and I found it accidentally about a year ago. After months of driving 35 minutes to our former favorite sushi place, we noticed this restaurant when we drove to the center to try an indian restaurant. We went there instead and have been hooked ever since. We go almost every Friday night with our friends. We refer to it as Sushi Friday. It is to the point that all the waitresses and the sushi chef know us all by name. They even know my husbands "usual". Although, everything is so good we do end up trying new things.

In fact, when my husband and I started the South Beach diet, we were upset because we wouldn't be able to have our favorite rolls any longer. Well, Jake (the chef) would have non of that and he started carrying brown rice and created a Brown Rice Roll that is simply awsome! From the edammame appetizer to the sashimi rolls and brown rice rolls, Sushi Friday is a reality...
...

Bed Bath and Beyond is my absolute favorite store for home accessories. From kitchen gadgets to complete bedroom ensembles, this is the place to go. They constantly mail out 20% off coupons which they will accept even if expired! Change your mind about your purchase? No problem. They'll take it back even if you no longer have your receipt (you'll get current price store credit)!

Their bridal registry program is also great. They give you a free organizer and a list to recommend what you should put on your registry. This was great, because I was clueless about what to put or how much. They keep your registry on file for three years after the wedding date so friends and family can know what you still need and possibly purchase for your birthday or anniversary :) Also, again, if you decide you don't need something, you can take it back. Your registry counts as the receipt so you get cash back, not store credit.

All in all this is the BEST place to shop!

...

geistswoman says "This is a cool phone with features even a novice can figure out." about Samsung - SCH-u740 Cell Phone

For the last two years I've been using a Motorola Razr VC3 and became very accustomed to using a keypad for typing out my text messages. However the phone has never held a charge for very long and I am queen of forgetting to charge it at night. So, this past weekend my husband decided to replace the battery thinking this would help. Verizon salesperson talked him into getting a new phone instead. He came home with my new Samsung SCH-u740. He read all the reviews and thought I'd love it. He was right. The way it opens either portrait mode (vertically) or landscape mode (horizontally), is really cool. The QWERTY keyboard is very handy since I text message all day long! It is taking a bit of getting used to though. It doesn't finish words for me the way I am used to. That function is reserved for sending texts in the portrait mode. The problem there though is that the letters on the keypad are so tiny it takes way too long to type anything.

I've only had the phone a few days......
