friendsoflamar says "A good deal if you don't feel lilke shopping around." about Geico

I was attracted to Geico because of the commercials with that gecko. When I found out that the "GE" in Geico stood for "Government Employees," I zeroed in on the company. I didn't feel like shopping around because I would have had to have filled in all my information all over the place, which I obviously didn't want to do. So I went with Geico. One thing that irks me about Geico is that it charges a $4.00 "convenience" fee for paying my six-month premium in monthyll installments. You should definitely take this into account when calculating the best deal. Another thing that irks me (which I had already known about) is that there is no one to run to in your neighborhood when you have to file a claim. I have never actually needed to do this (knock on wood), but the mere prospect of having to do this over the phone is scary to me. I trust Geico to do its job when I need it to -- it is a reputable company with many policyholders.
...
