Summer is here and I look as pale as a ghost. I haven't had a minute to simply BE in the sun yet this year. But then again, that's probably good for my aging skin. I don't worry about getting a real tan because I have found some cosmetic bronzers that really give me a glow and don't look fake or shimmery. I refuse to wear any bronzer that makes me look like a sparkly pumpkin. And trust me, I have had some that did just that. Here are some of my favorite bronzers that take a few seconds to apply and look like I just got back from a weekend in Maui (I wish!)

These are only the powder bronzers I like. I will do a different review very shortly on the creams and liquid ones I adore. You can decide which formula works best for your skin.

Quick View: I was disappointed in these wipes. They're convenient but leave streaks everywhere. I didn't like the container they came in either. It's back to the spray for me!

These 7"x8" wipes come in either a pouch of a canister. I bought the canister which has 28 wipes in it. The canister has a threading device for the wipes to go through but is wide open, exposing the wipes to air every time one goes to take one out. The last eight wipes in my canister dried out.

The small is strongly of, well, Windex. Very strongly. The wipes are just moist but not not wet. When I used them, I tried them several times in my bathroom mirrors (The medicine cabinet one and the full length door one) and both mirrors were streaked and foggy when I finished cleaning them. I had to use a soft cloth and basically buff out the streaks.

On windows, I got the same streaky, foggy results. On other surfaces, such as the bathroom sink, the wipes worked...

Quick View: I like these moist facial wipes, especially the exfoliating side. However, they're just too small to remove a face full of makeup and daily grime. Good for on the god but not for daily use for me.

These moist facial cleansing wipes come 16 to a package for about $2.00. The pads are square and about two inches - could be a bit more, I didn't measure them but they are small. They are infused with cucumber, Aloe Vera, chamomile, and green tea leaf extracts. They come in a little green plastic pouch with a sticky overlay to pull out individual pads.

One side of the pad is smooth and the other has green bumps on it which exfoliate the skin. They're just moist enough to effectively cleanse without being drippy. The scent is pleasant and not overwhelming.

Quick View: linQ is a designer brand that I had never heard of before I started shopping on RedTagCrazy.com. I have come to love the quality and softness of the linQ brand and, although I generally don't like cowl necks, I like this tank. It's very soft and stretchy and can be dressed up or down.

linQ is famous for its classic designs and super soft fabric. This tank is made from cotton and modal and is super stretchy. I bought a size medium but could easily fit into a Small because the tank is generously cut. It has a longer length than typical tops so it can scrunched at the waist or worn long. It can also be tucked into a skirt or pants.

This tanks is great because it easily goes from work to play. Wear it with a blazer and skirt or dress pants or wear it alone with jeans or a cute skirt. Quick View: I bought a set of JanSport Luggage in the Chocolate Chip Bubbles Design and with it, I also bought a JanSport SuperBreak Backpack in the same design. The backpack is fine but has no construction or frame. It's fine for what I use it for but wouldn't be big enough or durable enough for rough camping conditions, I don't think.

About the JanSport SuperBreak Backpack

I have owned other Jansport backpacks that were made for hiking and camping. This one doesn't seem to be. It's very colorful for sure and can hold a ton of stuff.

The backpack is 16.75" x 13" x 8.5" - roomy for a "book bag" but not for a camping type pack. It weighs just 12 ounces. It is made of 600 Denier Polyester and the shoulder straps are nicely padded and adjustable. There is a large outer pocket with an organizer built in that can hold quite a bit of stuff and the back of the pack is 2/3 padded for comfort when carrying books or other hard objects.

I have been known to do some really horrible things to my hair. Realllllly horrible things. In my old age though I have managed to keep that under control for quite a while and be kind to my hair.

That is, until last week. My roots were looking lighter than my ends and I was growing tired with the henna process that I normally use to color my hair. So I got some dark red dye and slapped it on my head. I wanted the roots and everything to be slightly darker than the medium red shade I had. Well it went way dark on me and looked basically black with a little red instead of the true dark red I was hoping for. I liked it, it was just a little more goth than I could live with so I started plotting how I'd remove the dark.

So I ended up getting a Color Oops Hair Color Remover kit at my local Walgreen's and used it. Color Oops consists of 2 bottles of goo. Basically I just poured one bottle of goo into the other, tipped it a few times to mix, then applied it all over my hair...

I was out geocaching with my mom a few weeks ago and found myself being eaten alive by mosquitoes. I usually keep insect repellent in my backpack but it was early in the season and I didn't expect the little suckers to be out in full force yet so they caught me off guard.

Mom, who is very concerned about the west nile virus (or the vile nirus as it's called in our family), insisted that we stop for some repellent before we continued our adventures.

I'm not normally a fan of wipes but I was looking for something lightweight and easy to apply while on the go and Cutter Backwoods Mosquito Wipes seemed to be a good way of applying insect repellent so I bought them. Plus I've always been really happy with Cutter products since I was a little kid so I figured I'd be happy with the wipes.

The container was easy to open and the wipes easy to dispense. It seems airtight enough to keep everything inside from drying out. The problem is that the wipes seem to dry out really fast once they...

My husband is an ice cream addict so we got thru a lot of ice cream in our house. He's so much of an addict that he usually just eats it directly from the container, which is fine by me as I'm not so much of a fan. But once in a while we get a flavor that I'm crazy about so he refrains from the double dipping routine and scoops it into a bowl.

He usually uses a kitchen spoon for that though which annoys me because the spoon handles always end up bent. So recently I was out shopping somewhere and saw the OXO Good Grips Ice Cream Scoop on sale for about $8 so I bought it. I have other Good Grips products and have been happy with them so I thought it would be a good addition to our kitchen gadget drawer.

Last year I won two big boxes of stuff from LUSH that contained a bunch of their Retro products. Retro products are things that LUSH made in the past but discontinued for whatever reason. They've brought back some of these discontinued items in a collection they call Retro and can only be bought on their website.

One of the products in that box is called Quinquereme of Nineveh soap. I have no idea how to pronounce that but I absolutely love it! I'm almost and will be really bummed when it's all gone.

Quick View: Fashion Forms makes two bras that call themselves three way bras. They're very easy to mix up. The Fashion Forms 3 in 1 Convertible Bra that I have actually converts four ways. It can be worn as a regular bra, a halter, a criss-cross, or a very low backed style with the straps in any of those ways on the shoulders. It cannot be worn strapless. The OTHER three way bra, called, conveniently, Fashion Forms 3 Way Bra does NOT do low back styling. Having said that, the 3 in 1 Convertible Bra does what it says but I don't really love the cups.

I recently got a Keurig Mini coffee maker and really like it. I've tried several of the sample coffee cups that came with the appliance and liked them a lot, but really wanted the option of brewing my favorite ground coffee. So I invested in the My Cup reusable filter. I said "invested" because it was $15 just for the tiny filter.

My Cup is really easy to use. Just fill the basket with ground coffee, screw the lid on, and pop it into the Keurig brewer just like using a normal K-Cup. Cleaning it out isn't really that much of a hassle either. Just unscrew the lid and rinse the filter out.

The problem is that the coffee is super weak and disappointing. I like my coffee on the medium to mild side so it doesn't have to be super dark for my liking, but the My Cup resulted in something that looked like weak iced tea.

I got crafty one day and ran the same coffee thru the machine and My Cup three more times which resulted in decent coffee, but somehow I don't think that's very good for...

Two weeks ago I went for my twice yearly dental cleaning, or rather it should be called my twice yearly lecture about not flossing. I know I'm supposed to do it but I just don't think about it until I get the lecture.

So on my way out of the exam room I noticed that there was a box of individually wrapped flossers called Johnson & Johnson Wild Flossers. Me being an overgrown kid who still loves little toys and trinkets asked if I could have a few to which my hygienist replied "you can take the whole damn box if you'll actually use them". So I grabbed a handful of the colorful plastic dinosaur floss picks and brought them home.

Wild Flossers are really cute. They're basically the same as the pointy-ended floss picks for adults only they're flat dinosaur shaped tools without pointy ends or sharp edges. The idea is that the colorful characters entice little kids to want to floss their teeth.

Well the idea worked on me and I couldn't resist them. I literally could not wait to try...

I love my teeth but I hate to floss them. I just don't think about it until my dentist yells at me and then I buy 14 kinds of floss that I use for a week and forget about. The one type of floss that I do really like is the kind that comes in little individual picks.

Recently I bought a pack of Dentek Triple Clean Floss Picks. They were on sale big time. Two packs of 90 picks for $2.99. So I got the two-pack, brought it home and promptly forgot about it until last week when my dentist yelled at me for not flossing often enough.

So I dug out my Dentek Floss Picks and gave them a try. And boy do I hate them. You see, cheaper is not necessarity better because rather than using one pick for my whole mouth or one for the top teeth and one for the bottom, I have to use no less than four picks to floss all my teeth which turns out to be not such a good value in the long run.

I wrote a review on Aveeno Positively Radiant Cleansing Pads and said I really liked them and I do. Recently, I saw that Aveeno also sells a similar cleansing pad called Aveeno Positively Ageless. Since I'm 44 and want to be ageless, well not ageless but certainly not aged, I decided to try the Ageless pads to see if I liked them better than the Radiant pads.

I compared the two over the course of several weeks and I have a winner. A winner that surprised me!

These pads are pre-moistened and both come in a plastic tub with 28 pads each. Both have plenty of cleansing solution in the tub and both pads are large.
