fp says "Macys at Bellevue Square - a great experience!" about Macy's - Bellevue, WA

About a year ago I was introduced to shopping at Macys and I have to say that I love it, I love it, I love it. I love shopping for bargains and I love quality items and I can find both at Macys. You are pretty much guaranteed some great sale at least once, maybe twice a month. I have made several purchases for home and kitchen goods in the past year and I cannot believe the fabulous deals I got from a selection that I have never seen before, especially at Bellevue Square. Macys Home has allowed me to purchase many things I have needed for a fraction of the price. They have separate areas for clearance items in each department all through the year. The Macys credit card is an added bonus as t gives you savings on top of savings, I had only wished that I knew this before. Once you sign up, you get two full days of added savings and then there are periodically dispersed days in which you save even more just for using your Macys credit card. I am used to paying a pretty penny...
...

fp says "Easy to use, makes eating healthy easy!" about Oster Rice Cooker - Deluxe Multi-Use - models 4715, 4717,4721,4724

I purchased my Oster Rice Cooker and Steamer and I have had a chance to use it several times to make different types of rice and I love it. I have always cooked my rice in a pot over the stove, I learned to do so from my mother. When I got married my husband convinced me to try it out, especially since we were getting a name brand product for such a deal, you have got to love Macys. I cannot imagine cooking rice over the stove again. I have modified the quantities is calls for in making sushi rice but other than that the rice comes out perfect. And brown rice, which takes at least twenty five minutes to cook, cooks in half the time. And the great thing about it is when the rice is cooked, the machine goes from cooking mode to warming mode so I can do other things while its cooking or make my rice in advance and keep it warmed. It also comes with the steamer rack which makes for eating healthy way too easy. You can even make certain dishes all in this machine making for...
...

fp says "It's a very well marketed store, but what about the prices?" about Williams-Sonoma

I have been to many William-Sonoma stores and I have even purchased a few things from there, although I will proudly admit all the products I have purchased were on sale. I love and have Le Creuset products, cook books, Henckels knives and Calphalon cookware sets and a few more items. But I have purchased none of those from there (with the exception of Lidia's Family Table cook book, on sale for 14.99), I would have paid at least twice the amount that I actually did pay. Macys offers almost all of the above mentioned products for a fraction of the price. Please do not get me wrong, I do enjoy going into Williams-Sonoma and looking around, it makes me feel like I am a better cook by just being there. But even the Williams-Sonoma branded cook books can be found a deeply discounted prices at such places like Costco and overstock.com. With the exception of I would say less than 15%, all products in Williams-Sonoma can be found in other stores, such as Macys, Target, overstock.com...
...

fp says "Stunning stainless steel cookware for a great price." about Calphalon Calphalon Stainless Steel 10 Pice Cookware Set

I recently purchased Calphalon's Stainless Steel 10 piece cookware set from the Calphalon outlet near me. I have had a chance to use the pieces several times over. I must say that I overall happy with them. They all heat up quickly and they retain their heat well. Also they are easy to clean, although dishwasher safe, I clean them all by hand to ensure their optimal quality. I also follow some simple rules regarding any pot or pans use, see below. The frying pans and the glass top covers cook and clean beautifully. They are easy to hold and the handles do not get hot. The glass top allows you to see your food cook leaving it slightly a jar will prevent condensation. Although 2 of the pots did leave a rainbow of colours on the inside of the pots where the boiling water came into contact with the surface. I called customer service and they told me that some not all have this happen, as it is a result of the chemical make up of the metal. It comes perfectly clean with...
...

fp says "Filling, not too sweet, and healthy" about General Mills Curves Honey Crunch Cereal

I was surprised to discover how good Curves Cereal is. I have tried other healthy cereals such as Kashi (which I like but the texture of the cereal is too hard and crunchy, not to mention that it leaves your digestive system working in over drive) that I have liked but not loved. I have purchased the box of cereal with the purple boarder and I am not aware if Curves makes any other kinds or flavours of cereal so my review is addressed to this specific flavour. I purchased my first three boxes as a part of a buy so many boxes and only pay one dollar for each box. I am not sure of the retail price but I am willing to spend up to $3.99 for one. Curves Cereal tastes great and you feel very satisfied after eating a bowl of it but not weighted down. It not to sweet and it also contains 28 whole grains. Unlike Kashi, the texture of the cereal is much better. You are not worried you ll chip a tooth eating it. I am trying to lose weight in a healthy way, a change of life style and...
...
