foxyspooh says "Brings focus to a growing problem in our society" about A Death in White Bear Lake

A Death in White Bear Lake is a book written about true happenings in White Bear Lake, MN and surrounding cities. I first became interested int he book because my Grandfather is in it. I would not have chosen to read this book or books like it otherwise. — As I read the book my opinion of books of this sort (based on actual people, or true stories) has changed. I became intrieged and fascinated by the characters. I really enjoyed reading this book. — The story is a bit disjointed at times as the author hops across the timeline to tell the whole story. The effect as a whole was a well rounded tale and fully developed characters that you were able to become involved with. — A Death in White Bear Lake is worth the time to read! Barry Siegel tells the tale well. —...

foxyspooh says "I get coffee when I want coffee" about Bunn B10 Coffee Maker

We have been using Bunn Coffee makers for over 8 years now at our home. We have only replaced in one time after 6 years of faithful service. I will never use another coffee maker brand other than Bunn. — The best feature of our Bunn is that within 3 minutes there is a whole pot of fresh, tasty coffee ready for me. The temperature of the water along with the time it takes the water to travel thru the grounds is perfectly synced to brew the best tasting coffee. — Bunn coffee makers are also easy to maintain. — Kudos to Bunn and their quality Coffee...

foxyspooh says "Still feeling like the wrong side of a diaper" about Progressive

I have had Progressive insurance for my car for a number of years and now they also insure my home. I am dissapointed that they will not insure my motorcycle as it is a classic. They simply say it's too old. — I have a grudge against all insurance companies as in my state we have no fault and I feel it's driving up the rates. I also do not feel that your rates should be at all connected with your credit score. Things happen that you have no controll over that affect that score negatively and it takes years to get them off. But the credit score doesn't seem to change much if at all when these negative marks are proved irronious and "removed". — It should not cost me $1300.00 a year to insure two cars and a house. I have checked around and Progressive actually has the best deal for me. I have only ever filed one claim for glass repair in all the years I have been with Progressive and my rates did not go up after the claim. I have...

foxyspooh says "A definite Mind Bender" about Lost

This show is definitely a challange for the intellect. In each show there are clues given to the past and future of the survivors and the Island. I enjoy the "game" of figuring out the nuances and paralells hinted at. This show is a must watch. Thank you ABC not only for "Lost" but the ability to catch up on episodes online I may have...

foxyspooh says "This is just another example of STUPID" about Amazing Race

I fail to see how this can be called entertaining. A bunch of people traipsing around the world with more money to spend than common sense to do it wisely compete to win even more money. That as I see it is the whole plot. — Then you get into destroying friendships as teammates tear into each other for being human. If I ever said any of those degrading comments I heard in the one episode I watched I would expect to die a lonely death after living an abysmal and desolate solitary life. — What amazes me is that people continue to watch shows like this and advertisers are obviously making money by having their commercials aired during the broadcast. —...

foxyspooh says "Nice to know I remembered some things from school" about Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader?

I enjoy watching this show and testing my knowlege against those of the contestants. It is a bit humbling though when I get the answer wrong and the kids on the show all get it right. I sometimes find myself jeering the contestants as they play. Sometimes I wonder where they find these people because it seems obvious that school was not something they aspierd to do well at. — There is the occasion that they have a really well rounded contestant and I will cheer them on and try to help them by shouting the correct answer. I feel much more entertained by this type of contestant than the goofballs that majored in towel...

foxyspooh says "Not a very durable phone." about LG - Chocolate Cell Phone

Th LG Chocolate is an attractive phone that comes in a variety of colors. If that is what you buy the phone for then it would be a good choice for you. If you do any texting or are clumsy and drop it, even from a short distance, you should look to another phone. — — Within one month of having the phone the numbers were worn almost completely off from texting. As it was under warranty a replacement phone was provided but the service plan was extended from the date of replacement. Then after two months and having it fall to a carpeted area approximately two feet down three times the number pad was again worn off and the phone was loosing functionality. It would not ring/vibrate for all calls. The Battery would not last even for a day. The back-light stopped working unless the phone was open. sound quality for both parties was poor and the volume control was ineffective. — — While the phone is under warranty...
