flipitygirl says "No need to head out to a resturant for a good quesadilla!" about Santa Fe Quesadilla Maker

My husband and I love to have a quesadilla as a meal. With my Santa Fe Quesadilla Maker, it is quick and easy. Before, when I would make them in a pan, I would loose my toppings when flipping them over to brown the second side. Not anymore, they come out like a restaurant's.

This quesadilla maker has a short cord, which hasn't been a problem. It turns of when it is plugged in and has a red indicator light showing it is on. It takes 5 minutes to heat up. There is a green indicator light that turns off when it is ready.

This unit has non stick cooking surfaces. Just wipe off with damp cloth. I add a small amount of cooking oil, to make clean up even easier. It can not be immersed in water. There is a drip tray to catch any excess oil. This can be removed and cleaned in soapy water.

The average cooking time is about 3 to 4 minutes. Don't over stuff your quesadillas! This causes oozing and a bigger mess to clean up. The quesadilla will not seal as well either. With this...
...

flipitygirl says "Mucinex DM was all we needed and maybe a little soup." about Mucinex DM Expctorant & Cough Suppressent

Mucinex DM Expctorant & Cough Suppressant proved to be a wonderful product when my husband and I were sick with the flu in November. We were down for the count, using the medicines in the cabinet left over from some other cold or flu. Nothing was working, we were so miserable. We ran out of what we had, my mom offered to bring us some new medication. She brought us the Mucinex DM. She left that and chicken noodle soup ( which didn't hurt ) on the door step, rang the door bell and ran. She was safe, she never caught it.

We noticed a big deference with the first dose! Taking just one tablet every 12 hours. We could breath so much better and feel the congestion in our heads and chest loosening up. It also settled our coughing down, so we could sleep and get the rest we needed.

The active ingredients in it are Dextromethorphan HBr 30 mg for the cough suppressant and Guaifenesin 600 mg for the expectorant. Mucinex DM is FDA approved, so I feel ok about taking it. This is not...
...

flipitygirl says "This Vtech- Model: CS5212 cordless telephone does the job." about VTech - Model: CS5121

We have a Vtech cordless telephone, model: CS5121. It seems to be fairly basic compared to other cordless telephones, but does what we need it to do, as we use our cell phones most of the time. We use it for local calls only, for those who call us without cell phones. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5, because, it is hard to read the screen on it.

It has just enough features to make it useful. There is a built in message recorder and caller ID, for all of those unwanted phone calls.

The telephone base can either sit on a counter or be wall mounted. I like the wall mount, so it is out of the way. We feed all of the cords into the wall so you can't see them.

The handset takes a special battery pack, you are not going to use the AAs you have. The batteries do seem to last a long time before having to recharge the handset. Low battery is displayed and flashes on the display screen, when needing charged.

This telephone has the capability to store 9 speed dial numbers....
...

flipitygirl says "This waffle maker is very versatile." about Hamilton Beach Meal Maker Belgian Waffle Baker & Sandwich Griddle

I really enjoy using my Hamilton Beach Meal Maker Belgian Waffle Baker and Sandwich Griddle. This item is very versatile. Not only can I make waffles with it, it makes great grilled sandwiches, such as cuban and panini along with an old time favorite grilled cheese. I also use it to make omelets and great cheesy hashbrowns, recipes included in the manual.

It has two cooking grids. One just for waffles and another with a flat surface for so many other foods. This is truly a meal maker.

It has a short cord, but has not been a problem. Once plugged in, it takes about 5 minutes to heat up. There is a red indicator light that comes on while heating up. When it has reached it's cooking temperature the red light goes out, letting you know you are ready to cook. Your cooking time, depending on what you are making, ranges from 4 to 10 minutes.

The clean up is quick and easy with the removable grids and a non stick surface. I at times will put the grids in the dishwasher, however,...
...

flipitygirl says "This is a very good printer for the price." about hp deskjet F4240

I am always in need of a printer, scanner and copier. I really do like my HP Deskjet F4240 All-In-One. It prints out the colors I am expecting, with a pretty good quality. I know there are printers out there that have a sharper printing capability, but for my home use this one does just fine. I like the flat top scanner feature where you lay the document on the glass to scan it ( I really do not like the feed through type, as I would always feed it through crooked). It will handle scanning a legal size paper, for home use that has been large enough. Of course I can always use the poster sizes it has programed into it's software. It has been very handy, because I am always in need of a copier for receipts, rebates, online coupons and of course all of my wonderful recipes everyone wants a copy of! There has been only two issues I have had with this printer. One, when I print envelopes, they do not always feed through properly and I might end up with a paper jam. Two, the ink cartridges...
...

flipitygirl says "The best gaming system to come out." about Nintendo - Wii Console

I purchased the Wii Game System for entertainment and physical activity, it delivers both for me. I absolutely love the Sports games that came with the system. I think I am a bowling pro now. If you want to burn up some calories do the boxing, I am all a sweat by the time I get my opponent knocked out. I also have Wii Fit and Fitness Coach for some exercise. Wii gets the kids off their behinds and gets them moving too. The Wii System and games are great for all ages. It helps to sharpen your mind and improve your balance. We have a few other Wii games and love them all. There are so many to choose from, so I am sure we will be buying more. We bought my daughter's family a system for Christmas. They were thrilled with it. We live in different towns, so we can play together over the internet. It gets the family together to enjoy each other and have some fun. With a tight economy it is cheap entertainment after the initial cost.
...

flipitygirl says "My Amana Range makes cooking a joy." about Amana AER5844VAS Self Clean Ceramic Top Range Stainless Steel

The Amana AER5844VAS Stainless Steel,Self Clean, Ceramic Top Range we purchased at Good Deals Appliance in Fort Myers, Florida, is a good investment. With the economy the way it is, I am cooking more at home. I like the ceramic top. it has two small burners in the back and one large burner in the front along with a dual burner. The burners glow red when in use and an indicator light stays on until top cools down. It is easy to clean when something boils over or spills. Along with the self cleaning oven, I consider this appliance easy to care for. One thing to remember is the ceramic top gets hot when the self cleaning cycle is on. The oven has Bake, Broil and Warm (for keeping food warm until served) settings. With plenty of room for holiday cooking. The control panel is easy to understand and use. And of course the clock and timer come in handy if you are like me and tend to forget I have something cooking or baking.
...

We purchased an Amana ASD2524VES00 25 cubic foot Stainless Steal Dispenser Refrigerator at Good Deals Appliance in Fort Myers, Florida and have no regrets. This refrigerator gives us a good amount of food storage and freezer space. I love the large capacity door shelves, I can alway manage to keep them full. It also has a Ice and water dispenser that dispenses cold water and cubed or crushed ice. The dispenser has dual dispensing levers. I like that feature because I don't get water when I want ice and no ice when I want water. I can use the dispenser lock when children are visiting to prevent a mess on the floor. There is a light for the dispenser, which makes a great night light and makes it easy to see when getting water at night. The ice maker is great, I always have ice on hand when needed. It has a water filter with certifications and a status light with good, order and replace letting you know when it is time for a new one.
...

The Amana AMV1160VAS 1.6 Cubic Foot Stainless Steel 1000 Watts Microwave Oven I purchased in March 2009 from Good Deals Appliance, Fort Myers, Florida, works very well and I am pleased with its performance. It has a very easy to use and understand control panel. The option button on the control panel is nice to help make settings easy. The stainless steel facing is hard to keep clean. Finger prints are hard to clean off and when I am done I seem to end up with a lot of streaks. I do not know if there is a special cleaner you can use, but I intend to find out. When clean I do love it's appearance. The inside is roomy and I like how the turn plate is recessed in the bottom. The light under the unit is in the back, so it does not light up my cooking area on the stove as well as I would like. I like the space saving and convenience of having the microwave above the stove. It was easy for us to install our selves.

...

My Amana ADB1500AWS Stainless Steel Built-In Dishwasher purchased at Good Deals Appliance in Fort Myers, Florida, cleans wonderfully. I feel we made a good purchase. The only thing I do not like is the silverware basket. It is to small, making it hard to get the utensils in and out. It also crowds the utensils, so sometimes food sticks to them. The inside is very roomy and hold a lot of dishes. I can get my largest pan in with ease. It has five cycles, heavy wash, normal wash, quick wash, rinse only and a auto wash. It also has options, such as heat dry, sanitize, high-temp wash, delay hours and a lock to disable the buttons. I like the lock feature, so little ones can't turn it on. The delay option is nice so you can run during the night while sleeping. We can't hear it in the bedroom. With the Stainless Steel facing, there is the problem of keeping finger prints and smuges off of it. The instruction manual says there is a stainless steel cleaner and polish, I would recommend getting it....
...
