http://www.viewpoints.com/aboutme/fixin Fri, 11 Sep 2009 03:07:17 GMT Reviews by fixin http://www.viewpoints.com/Gourmet-Settings-Non-Stop-20-piece-Flatware-Set-review-d2e7 <p>My wife and I bought a 4-setting set of this flatware and were running low so decided to purchase a second identical set a few weeks later.</p> <p>After a few weeks, we started to notice black spots and lines on some of the spoons and forks.  Weeks later, entire heads of spoons had turned black.  We couldn't find any way to get rid of this tarnish so ended up throwing away about 5-6 spoons and 3-4 forks (knives seemed to be unaffected).  While a year later none of the other flatware pieces have turned, this was a disappointing aspect of this product.  My guess is that there were some quality control issues with the manufacture, though we never contacted them to report it.</p> <p>Other than the tarnishing, this flatware set is good looking and sturdy enough for daily use and abuse.</p>... Fri, 11 Sep 2009 03:07:17 GMT http://www.viewpoints.com/Gourmet-Settings-Non-Stop-20-piece-Flatware-Set-review-d2e7 fixin 2 http://www.viewpoints.com/Haier-Air-Conditioner-HWX058C7-review-bb910 <p>I have to give this a low rating because I found the noise this unit made to be entirely unacceptable.  I bought this as supplemental AC for our living room (the big unit is in the next room over).  The plan was to trial it in that window, and if it ended up being quieter than the 5000BTU LG in the bedroom, to swap the two.  Unfortunately this unit makes an incredibly annoying buzz.  It's much more than the normal fan/compressor sound.  It sounded like there might be a mount loose on the compressor or the fan was hitting something, though I didn't open to find out. Definately way to loud to watch TV with. After one day's use, I brought it back to the store and returned it for a more expensive unit.</p>&#13; <p>Because of it's price, I'd still use this unit in a garage or another place where noise is irrelevant but I find it way to loud for general household use.</p>...
