We tried the Organic Brown Rice cereal first and our baby LOVED it! We ran out and I couldn't find it at the store I happened to be at, so I bought Gerber... and our baby hated it. Plus it made her diapers stinkier. Bluch! So we stocked up and wont go back! We love this stuff!!! :) And the price is great, it's even cheaper than...

farfulpippik says "Nothing but the best!" about Homemade Baby Food

I have a collapsable steam basket, a pot, and a stick blender! Why buy food when you can make it? I agree! There are mesh bags with handles, so you can feed your baby fresh steamed veggies without worries, too! — I usually steam veggies, mix a little of the water from the pot if it needs to be thinned out, portion them into ice cube trays, put plastic wrap over the food and freeze it! It retains a lot of the nutrients and it's perfectly portioned! It's that easy! And takes almost no time at all! — Plus, it's a great way to get variety without paying too much! Our baby gets whatever kind of veggies we'll be eating, just without salt or seasoning. If I do buy veggies just for her, 5-10 sugar snap peas, is a nickle! I think the lady at the checkout actually had to put her thumb on the scale to charge me! — Anyway, it's been a great experience for us. I love feeling that my baby is getting the...

farfulpippik says "Thank You Thank You Thank You" about Learning Curve The First Years Breastflow Complete Starter Set Baby Bottle

My baby is 6 months old, this week... she has been latching on worse and worse! I barely ever give her a bottle and when I do it's water, just for her to play with after she eats some cereal or something... — So I got this bottle because I thought she would get less air and MAYBE it would help with her latching on a little better. — She played with it at first, bit it a lot (she's toothless, still) but after a bit, she seemed to like drinking from it! Usually she takes the water in and shoots it out, but she seemed to really like drinking from it! — Lo and behold, when we nursed, she did start to gradually latch on a little better! And much stronger! I wasn't about to give up... I have no clue why or how she started getting worse, but after tonight, I feel more... in the game! I am definitely buying these bottles for friends! :) — They are simple to assemble, clean, and use. I don't know if they are BPA free, so I...

farfulpippik says "Thieves" about T-Mobile

I used and loved T-Mobile for three years. When I decided to go on a remote mission trip, I called 3 months in advance to cancel my service. I called again weeks before leaving. And off I went. I had no computer access and figured that my service was cancelled. I find out three months later that money is still being withdrawn from my account! So I call and cancell it AGAIN! Three months later, they are still withdrawing money. I stopped the payment from my bank, called and cancelled, was told that they would only pay back 90 days of the withdrawn money... THREE FREAKING MONTHS LATER THEY ARE STILL WITHDRAWING MONEY!!! They NEVER refunded any of it! I made a fuss, they finally paid me back 90 days of the 9 MONTHS they had been ripping off my account. Acknowledging that I hadn't used the phone since August... but stating that that was all they could do. I will never EVER set up automatic payments for anything...

farfulpippik says "4.5 stars" about Proactiv Solution

My former roommate was throwing this out, so she gave it to me... I think she was just trying to help me out, really. I have adult acne... actually, I've had acne since I was 11 and it never really went away... and I'm 29. She saw what I went through to keep my skin clear and when I could no longer use Retin-A, she stepped up with this. Anyway, I had a great day at the gym one day, washed up, slathered lotion all over the place in preperation for the sauna (seems a little backwards, but I shave and rinse afterwards) and I decided to try this for in the sauna, thinking it would set in and deep clean... and it did! very nicely! It washed away easily and my skin felt nice and clean. I was so far impressed, just with the feeling. But lo and behold, a few days later, those pesky subcutanious hellacious face monger's were tiny, not even a little red, and no longer painful! So I put a dot on each one over night, and they dried up! I...

I used this in the shower in a pinch... and because it smelled like it would go with my lotion :P — It was great! I bought the ginormous re-fill bottle and used this alone as my body wash for years! I can't find the big bottle any more... and I use other soaps that go with new lotions (I'm not a beach bunny any more... sigh) but I would still suggest this to anyone who just likes the smell. It's moisturizing but gentle enough for fairly sensative skin! — Enjoy! —...

I have dry skin and my husband has sensative skin... so in comes our baby with BOTH. Poor little girl! — We were using Mustela, and still swear by it! It cleared up her baby acne and smells so good! But she developed excema that wasn't just going away. Our Dr suggested this, so we finally switched. It's been a week and you can barely see where the (half dollar sized) spot was! And her skin is so soft and clean! We still use Mustella on her body, but Cetaphyl is working so well on her face, we might just switch completely! And I'm starting to use it myself! — My personal cleanser is Bath & Body Work's Milk Thistle. I love it! It keeps my acne at bay and moisturizes wonderfully while wiping out makeup, and it smells so great. — I'm going to try this, though... we'll see if it works as well on adult skin as it does on the wee-obe's :) —...

I was a pastry chef for three years. In that time I have had to work extended amounts of time in deep freezers... and I have, of course, spent a ton of time with my hands in the oven! Ouch! The extremes your hands go through in a day are down right painful! You get used to it, but your skin does not. When my fingers started cracking on teh sides, I knew I needed to find a better lotion. — On a whim, I picked this up. Amazing! My hands felt moisturized, relieved, less irritated. I didn't know how bad my skin felt until I started using this product... it made my skin feel so good! — The guys I worked with laughed at me for using it, until they tried it. It smells deliciously edible! Great for a pastry chef :) And my guys started using it all the time, too :) — It's too thick for me to use on the rest of my body, I like very sheer moisturizers. But when you have rough, dry skin, this will cure...

My little sister gave this to me for Christmas, along with the cream... it's wonderful! It makes your legs feel powdery, silky, soft! And it smells so good! And it has a tiny shimmer that's not weird/flashy that barely tints your skin. — I went to find more when I ran out and I can't afford it. I never spend much money on myself... Strange how a person with just an allowence can buy you these expensive, cool, things! I think she takes turns buying us something expensive we would love, because I gota CD the next year :) — I did find a product called Miso Pretty that smells similar... but nothing I've tried has matched this, I would definitely splurge for it and have since gotten it for other people as gifts :) — Enjoy! —...

Bullfrog is sweat proof, water proof, and sun proof! It lasts twice as long (apply every 4 hours instead of 2) and isn't greasy or sticky. — Being a Florida native, you have to apply a ton of sun sunblock. I have to admit I use another product for every day use. But for those long days at the beach, which is at least once a week in the pring and towards fall, you need more protection. And something that wont stick to the sand. — I have to also mention that I did not use this when I was pregnant. And I got super dark! I thought I was color void for years... but when I was pregnant I only used baby sunblock (because i was paranoid) and I got super brown. This product really does work at blocking the sun! I plan on using only this when my daughter gets old enough to have to wear sunblock! — Thanks for a great product, Bullfrog! —...

I pump and only use seal and go bags. This bottle is the ONLY one my daughter will use when not given the option to nurse. What I love about this is that it is so easy to clean. Even if it gets dirty, it's wide enough for you to stick yout entire hand in. But the milk never touches the bottle, so you don't really have to worry about it unless you want to, actually. Most of the time the plastic from the liner covers half of the bottle anyway! I've never had it leak, the baby can't squeeze the bag, the air doesn't get in the milk (or the baby) and they are super easy to heat. Microwave a cup of water and drop the assembled bottle in the hot water for a minute! — I love this! —...

The picture for this review does not match the product. I'm commenting on the picture... The hospital will send you home with a pack of things to use for your baby. Like the suction bulb. We have tried several other bulbs (given to us in various packs) when we couldn't find the one from the hospital... it's a nightmare. Nothing works better than that one bulb. Or the pacifier! Our baby wont take any other pacifier! We found that our hospital uses GumDrop pacifiers. They have a website. It's amazing how picky a baby can be. And as for their finger nails, use an emory board. It's easy to do while they sleep. The clipers don't get close enough and it's too easy to snip a little finger :( Their nails are so soft, they are perfectly short and scratch free in no time with just a nail file. When your baby gets old enough for a tooth brush, or any of the other things, your preference will probably be different by...

farfulpippik says "Bad on the back" about Baby Bjorn Original Baby Carrier

I have a bad back, so this might have impacted my low score of the Baby Bjorn.
We have two baby carriers: the Tri-Cotti and the Baby Bjorn. The Tri-Cotti is made of soft jersey fabric, so it does stretch. And my husband refuses to wear it. So we got the Baby Bjorn for him. He likes it! I tried it a few times and after 10-20 minutes it felt like my back was about to break. I still use it for short intervals or to nurse while shopping, although that is not nearly as easy as with the Tri-Cotti. What I do like about it is that it's easy to put on and take off. If the baby falls asleep and you're at home, it's easy to lay her down and un hook everything without waking her up.
I use my Tri-Cotti every day, though. And in the beginning, when she was tiny, it was perfect for us. I was able to put her in it in a horizontal position and let her nurse while doing a few things around the house. I don't think I put her down the first 3 months of her life! I wish they were available in...

I love my Ameda Purely Yours pump. I did a lot of research before buying my Ameda pump, and I'm glad I did. The pump itself is super easy to use, assemble, and diassemble. And you have very little to clean and sterilize. Which is fabulous considering how much of the baby's things you'll be cleaning. The suction and cycle spead are independently adjustable, which is very comfortable. The car adapter is nice! I loved being able to discreatly pump while on road trips. The hand held pump came with my kit, and I've used that a few times, it's very nice! I actually prefer it in the car, but you have to pump it and sometimes I'm lazy. It's wonderful to use when taking advantage of the let down when nursing the baby, as it is quiet and the angle is adjustable. This pump is also FDA approved, so you have that security as well. — When I first started nursing, I was so sore on one side, I didn't...

We use the Electrasol 3-in-1 with powerball! I don't know if the powerball is the secret ingredient... but I like it! — We have a 4 month old baby, and my husband works 12 hours a day. Needless to say, we try to be as efficient as possible to stretch our time together, and my time with the baby. — We hate having spots on our dishes! I used to pour vinigar into our dishwasher to keep the dishes spot free, but with electasol, you don't need it! I feel so confident in these little tabs, I'm washing my pump and bottle supplies in the dishwasher now! To be honest, they do come out with a few spots, but not many. And less than when I sterilize them in the microwave, because we have such hard water. So... electrasol is perfect for me! — The only thing I would want to change is the packaging. I don't like throwing so much plastic away (they are individually wrapped). I wish the packaging out of...
