faheypb says "where sci-fi meets human emotions, you'll find Star Trek" about Star Trek: The Next Generation - The Complete Series

Star Trek the Next Generation is one of Gene Rodenberry's ideas come to the small screen. Even years after the series has aired, it's themes and charaters are still relevant and entertaining. Captain Picard is one of the best Trek captains ever, especially in his relationships with Dr, Crusher, Data, Number One, and Guynan. There are very few television series' I can watch over and over, and TNG makes the short list. I recommend watching the entire searies, starting from the beginning. If you love fiction and drama, you will enjoy this series. I highly suggest it to anyone....

faheypb says "for anyone who loves the environment and a well-decorated table" about Danny Seo - Simply Green Giving: Create Beautiful Gift Wrapping, Tags, and Handmade Treasures from Everyday Materials

I've given Danny Seo's Simply Green Giving itself as a gift to many of my friends. This book is packed full of simple and impactful ways to go green without sacrifing style. I reference it often when planning to entertain in order to save money and be green with table decorations and gifts. Danny Seo has a knack for coming up with ideas. It is possible to make things look good without buying brand new decorations, spending a lot of money, or creating waste. I enjoy Danny's blog and have rented his DVD from the library, but Simply Green Parties and Simply Green Giving are worth owning. Especially as the Holiday Season approaches - reference Simply Green Giving for gift wrap ideas and presents you can make yourself from found or natural objects. This is an excellent book!...

faheypb says "This is true modern DIY for creative thinkers." about ReadyMade Magazine Subscription

I save every issue of ReadyMade magazine. It's compelling and creative. Need ideas to help organize and remodel in a small urban space? Want to make your own version of an expensive designer piece? Care about reuse, recycling, and re-purposing every day items into something you need? I always get ideas from ReadyMade. The ideas are well described and easy to replicate. It's a good mix of crafting and home improvement - with projects on all scales of involvement from a few minutes to a week. One of my favorite ReadyMade projects is how-to make your own bedroom mattress platform, with built-in drawers and book shelves. Fascinating and useful, plus good looking! I also enjoy the book and music recommendations that the ReadyMade staff make, it's always something I've never heard of but really enjoy. They must be reading my mind. Anyone would enjoy the thought and playfulness in this magazine - I highly recommend it!
...

faheypb says "I could listen to this album over and over." about The Ditty Bops [Digipak] by The Ditty Bops

The album "The Ditty Bops" by The Ditty Bops caught my attention right away while playing ambiently in a large bookstore. The sound is really unique. Great harmony, singable melodies, an assortment of instruments, and really fun lyrics all contribute to the experience. The songs range from fast-dancing pop to slow, deep, thought-provoking sounds. An incredible modern take on sometimes old-timey music licks. The first song to grab me was "Sister Kate". In the first week of owning this album, I listened to it enough to have half the songs memorized and was eager to learn the rest. This album is especially good in the car on a road trip. It can take you somewhere else and keep you amused and interested. Each successive Ditty Bops album is better than the one before, but there is a special place in my music player for the original album, The Ditty Bops. I give this album 5 stars and have introduced many people to the Ditty Bops. If you're open to good music, you will enjoy......

faheypb says "Small, fun, solid, and easy to use." about Sprint - Sanyo Katana Cell Phone

I've been using my Sanyo Katana on the Sprint network for 2 years and I'm no where near ready to upgrade. I am seriously attached to this phone. Beyond just making calls, I can access the web, text, take and send photos. The reason I initially bought this phone was because it's small and flat. Whether it's in my pocket, purse, backpack, or anywhere else - it's slim and easy to carry. Texting and dialing without looking at the keys is easy because the key are not flush - they are seperated. This phone comes in multiple colors, so I could have the same phone as my roommate in two different colors. I love that I can set photos and rings for different callers - and see them while the flip phone is closed on the external screen. It's easy to quickly silence the ringer if you forget to turn it off, and it can last for ways on a charge in stand-by mode. The wall or car charger takes the phone to a complete charge in less than 30 minutes. I lost the headset that came with the......

faheypb says "I've tried a lot of smartphones and I choose the BlackJack." about Samsung BlackJack Smartphone

I've tried a number of smartphones and personal digital assistants over the past few years. I've tried lots of Palm models, many many BlackBerry models, devices from HTC, LG, Nokia, and more. Of all the devices I have worked with, I choose to carry the Samsung BlackJack. This device has the bonus of a slim profile, while keeping a full qwerty keyboard. This keyboard is especially easy to use because it has seperated keys instead of flush keys. The seperated keys make it much less likely to mistype a message. AT&T coverage with this device certainly adds to the appeal - as the network is broad and strong. I use this device with a 2 gb MicroSD memory card to store applications, music, and files. I lost the proprietary headset that came with the device so I purchased a bluetooth stereo headset and have never looked back. Windows Mobile is powerful and this device handles it well. Great for email, syncing calendar, utilizing the web, making calls, and lots more....

faheypb says "songs don't stand up as well without the performance" about Original Soundtrack - Music From The Motion Picture Dreamgirls

I was very excited to see Dreamgirls the movie, and despite my high expectations I was absolutely impressed. The movie was incredible. Acting was good, singing was better, and the whole 2+ hours was worth the price of admission. I went out and bought the Dreamgirls Original Movie Soundtrack days after seeing the movie. The sounds quality is great, but the songs don't stand up as well without the performance behind it. After only a few listens, I lost my enthusiasm for this album, and found myself preferring to only listen to my favorite two or three tracks. I would have been better off occasionally borrowing this album or downloading a few tracks rather than purchasing the entire CD at full price. If you can find this album at a good price or second hand, grab it. It's a quality musical and these performances are awesome, unless you have an incredibly visual memory, buy the movie instead of the CD....

faheypb says "she sings it like she means it" about Kelly Clarkson - My December

My December by Kelly Clarkson is one of the best albums I've bought recently. It's passionate, real, and original. Her voice is amazing, and these songs will make you feel something for sure. I never even watched American Idol, and I really enjoy this CD. If you like this, I would recommend Pink, Inara George, and Aimee Mann. Kelly Clarkson really breathed life and rock back into pop music with this album. This album makes the rotation in my road trip music collection every time. It's one of those albums that is worth listening in it's entirety for the sound experience, or to pick a few of your favorite songs to memorize and repeat. I've had it now for over a year and still find it fresh and powerful each time I listen to it. More than just average or usual pop, My December is a keeper in any music lover's collection.
...
