emissarybelle says "Shaved off part of the roll, but kept same number of 2ply sheets" about Angel Soft Toilet Tissue DBL Rolls

In the midst of the rise of grocery, household and other product prices, especially since the fast rate rise of fuel costs, I've noticed some products are finding creative ways to keep the price the same without actually losing profits, by altering the product in a way that you do not realize you are getting less.

Did anyone notice that there were fewer Girl Scout Cookies in the boxes in 2008 than in previous years' boxes? But the Price per Box remained the same in spite of rising shipping costs. Some boxes had an obvious shorter sleeve of cookies, some boxes had a more subtle new cookie separator tray, allowing 1/2 the cookies as previously packaged. Hmmm.

My main example of the creative product packaging is Angel Soft Toilet Tissue manufactured by Georgia Pacific, who also manufactures Northern Toilet Tissue.

Whereas in the past, Northern was the superior quality tissue, that has changed over the past 3 to 5 years. I feel Angel Soft is now a more superior product in its softness,...
...

emissarybelle says "Where has the Quality Gone?" about Jockey French Cut Brief Women's Underwear

I have purchased and used a specific woman's panty since the late 1980s. I find something I like and I stick with it. I'm not looking to be a trend setter or a trend follower. I'm looking for practical items that make me comfortable at a reasonable price.

I prefer things to last and last. I'm opposed to our "disposable world" where it seems every business has thrown quality & value of a brand name out the window; and is now looking at how to re-sell more goods instead of how to make a lasting item of quality.

I still have some Women's Jockey French Cut Briefs (in both solids & prints) from over 15yrs ago. They don't fit. But have never dry rotted and the fabric is of quality with elastic in excellent condition.

In the interim, I have had to purchase some larger sizes over the past 12yrs and I have noticed that the thickness of the fabric is NOT the old standards, nor is the stitching quality.

The NOW Jockey underwear has thinner, faster wearing fabric. I experience pinholes,...
...

emissarybelle says "Payment Choices: High Price or a Higher Price" about COX - Cable TV

In our area (suburb to rural area just north of Baton Rouge, LA) our TV Cable Provider is Cox Communications, formerly Cox Cable.

We have Basic "Extended" Cable. I cannot fathom WHY not just call it BASIC since you cannot get just BASIC anymore anyway. We have No Movie Channels as we cannot afford them.

Our televisions are 10yrs old or older by decades. Cable Ready, but NOT Digital or High Definition by any means.

Our Cable TV Service has been reliable for the most part. With only having to CALL for SERVICE maybe twice in ten years; and only outages caused by severe tropical storms, hurricanes or serious damage to a line by auto accident or some other unavoidable act.

My InLaws, on the other hand, have Digital Cable with Boxes on every TV. They have frequently (3 or more times per year) had to call for Cable Troubles, usually caused by Box Outages. And they have also had frequent episodes of not having phone service because they have the entire Cox Package of Cable TV, Phone &...
...

emissarybelle says "Foodsaver Model V2840 is Vast Improvement on Previous Models" about Foodsaver

We rcvd the Tilia Foodsaver V2840 as a gift, Dec. 2007.

This was to replace our older wearing Foodsaver Unit from years prior.

I often take advantage of sales on whole ribeyes, whole beef tenderloins, whole pork tenderloins, ground round, chicken sales, sausage sales, etc.

I'm a Price per Pound, Price per Ounce, Price per Item type shopper. I like my meats cut to order, which usually has no price for cutting, then I go home & vacuum seal & freeze according to our family's individual needs. I cook some foods in bulk & freeze in family or individual portions.

Great item for saving left overs for your college aged kids with little fridge/freezer storage & only a microwave for cooking. Home cooked meals instead of fast food. Also a great idea if providing individual meals for elderly family or friends.

We love the new features of the quieter operation, easier upright counter storage capability, bag storage built right into the unit, removeable drip tray for easier cleaning, two vacuum...
...

If you have had strap slippage issues . . . if you have had neck, shoulder or upper back pain issues and it is NOT attributed to a specific medical issue or NOT attributed to your purse hanging too heavy on your shoulder or arm . . . then THIS is the BRA FOR YOU.

Playtex has come out with a LINE of Bras called SECRETS.

There are seamed as well as seamless bras in the line.

Comfort Gel Straps. Front of Straps have a gel in them to provide more comfort on the collar bone & upper shoulder area.

Strap adjustments are located just behind the shoulder, more towards the back of the strap, which eliminates that plastic adjustment ring cutting into the front of your shoulder.

With or Without Lace over Cups.

With or Without Seams.

With or Without Underwire.

Comes in small and larger cup sizes.

Lifts, Separates, defines definite Cleavage in a respectable way. Makes clothes look better on you.

A proper fitting bra can Reduce Fatigue.

I am a "DD" and this is the best bra for the price that I have ever worn....
...

emissarybelle says "Plentiful Health Understandings of Various Common Ailments" about Micro Miracles discover the healing power of Enzymes

Read this book during Fall 2007. Began using Enzyme Supplement Suggestions for some of my own health issues and saw almost immediate results, lost weight, feel stronger immune system, feel less fatiqued, more energetic, more focused, and more in control of my own health.

Important to SHARE any self-health initiated supplementing with your doctor on a regular basis so that he/she may track any changes in lab work results.

I feel Drs. Cutler and Kaslow did an excellent job of being very thorough in the information they provided and made it so easy for me to apply my own personal health situations to the book's advice before making my own enzyme supplement selections.

This book can be read cover to cover; or skip-a-chapter style.

I suggest reading the book with a hi-lighter marker and a stack of post-it notes in order to tab pages you may wish to refer back to later and hi-light passages and information that may apply to you personally that you may wish to re-reference at a later date.

Excellent...
...

emissarybelle says "Easy Application, Blended Results, Cost Affective Club Plan" about Sheer Cover Sheer Cover Products

I began using Sheer Cover makeup in June 2007. I find the product of top quality and more than comparable pricing if you utilize the Club Membership, which has No Membership Fee but supplies lower prices per item, AND customize your Orders every 3, 4 or 5 months, to only purchase the products YOU Need.

If Club Member, most products are $14.95 an item of 4 to 6 oz sizes, which are typical makeup sizing. A little bit of product goes a Long Way, so you definitely get your money's worth.

Mineral Foundation Powder is light, yet provides adequate coverage once you determine your personal skin tone needs. Added cheek, eye or lip hi-lighters or colors can be as subtle as desired or applied; as well as being as bold as needed. Again, trial & error with products may be necessary. Mixing with other colors from other makeup brands works fine too.

60 Day Bottom of bottle RETURN POLICY allows for TRYING products and changing your mind until you find that correct color blend.

Customer Service...
...
