embazem says "Very funny! Love the music!" about Hairspray

I love the movie Hairspray and especially the soundtrack! I watched it once and I was hooked. I had to get the cd. There are a lot of great actors in this movie. I was surprised with how well some of them could sing. There are a lot of new stars in the movie with amazing talent in singing and dancing. I was captivated. Seeing John Travolta dressed up as a woman is to die for. I don't think I could say enough good things about this movie. It has a very moving subject line filled with lots of comedic moments and you finish the movie feeling good....

embazem says "So good I want to read the next one!" about Twilight (The Twilight Saga, Book 1)

Twilight is one of my favorite books now. I was recommended this book a while ago and was told it was about vampires. I was reading another book at the time and kind of took my time reading it because I didn't care to start reading Twilight. But I heard more and more good reviews about it, that I finally picked it up and then I couldn't put it down! I probably read it in record time. I'm not too fancy about vampire plots, but this one was so intriguing. It had a cute romance story too that I'm sure makes every girl wish she had. I'm waiting for the second book in the series from the library. I'm thirty-eighth on the waiting list! This one will be on my bookshelf forever....

embazem says "Great way to keep in touch -especially with students" about Facebook

Facebook is for those who don't like the crap that comes with Myspace. You don't get many hackers on Facebook (I haven't ever seen any). It comes with cool, free applications to make your profile page unique. You get to take lots of quizzes to help others get to know you. It's basically a bunch of students of all ages, but anyone's invited to join too. But because you have those who seem to be more studious, it just tends to be a more mature Myspace. When I first joined I had already created a Myspace account and didn't quite get how to set up my Facebook account. But after I looked things over, it was really easy to understand, plus now Myspace is copying a lot of the look of Facebook, so they're very similar. I prefer Facebook over Myspace for many reasons....

embazem says "Good place to keep in touch with friends" about MySpace.com

So... Myspace. We've all heard of it or use it and have mixed feelings about it. I myself have mixed feelings about it. It is a very handy source to keep in touch with family and friends. There are a lot of good things about Myspace. They have cool layouts to make your own Space original. I find it quite annoying all the hackers you've got going on, though. You've got to be careful. You'll get sent messages with bad links or pictures from people in your friend list that you definitely don't want to click on because those messages aren't actually from them. It's someone who's hacked into their Myspace account by figuring out passwords and sent messages to others to try to get their passwords too. You can be careful though, and I haven't been hacked into yet. I love being able to keep in touch with friends and reading random posts from them or sending them myself. Myspace can be very addicting....

embazem says "Love It!!" about Enchanted

I absolutely loved this movie. The idea was so original to me. Sure we've seen the Fairy Tale plot before each with their own twist, but Enchanted was poking fun at a lot of other Disney movies in a fun creative way and I couldn't stop laughing. I love just about every Disney movie and this is one I'm definitely going to own. I walked out of the movie with one song stuck in my head for a couple days, so I had to get the soundtrack. I was worried going into the movie that my husband wouldn't enjoy it because it'd be too much of a chick flick, but he laughed out loud in the first scene making me very relieved, but we both kept laughing throughout. I recommend this movie to anyone that wants a movie to enjoy. (And cute, fun songs stuck in their head)...

embazem says "So awkwardly funny it hurts!" about The Office

I've found my favorite show. The Office is hilarious! I was hooked after the first episode. The characters are so awkwardly entertaining. I can't help cracking up each scene. I'm not sure if it's similar to a genuine office setting, but I'm glued to the TV for a half an hour feeling connected to the group of coworkers. I get embarrassed just watching the characters, but I just end up laughing instead. Each episode is so randomly entertaining. The writers must know exactly how to make me laugh. This is definitely a hit show in my book and I can't wait until next season starts in September....

embazem says "Finally! The right mascara!" about Maybelline Full and Soft Mascara
Buying makeup can be very expensive. You have to sift through the trillion choices of products to figure out which best suits you. I have spent my fair amount of money on finding the perfect mascara. I hadn't realized the extent of my research of mascara until I was cleaning out my makeup bag and through away 12 mascaras! I have come to love Maybelline's Full and Soft Mascara! After multiple trial and errors I'm stuck on the mascara that makes my eyelashes look long, full, and stay soft all day. I've been hooked on this mascara for years now and it'll take a lot of convincing to pry this one away from me now.
...

embazem says "Fun book full of fantasy, and love, that's hard to put down" about Ella Enchanted

If you like the Harry Potter Series, you're likely to really enjoy Ella Enchanted, by Gail Carson Levine. Ella Enchanted is absolutely one of my favorite books! I was so drawn into the book about a girl, named Ella, who was given the gift of obedience when she was a baby. Ella's character was easy to feel frustrated for, for she had to obey even the smallest commands. It has mystery, fantasy, and cute, cute love. I didn't want the book to end and I was a little disappointed when it did. I just wanted to keep reading about the characters lives....

embazem says "Where to go when you really need to know t what's true or false." about Snopes

I hate getting the emails telling me that there's a computer virus going around with the subject line such as Stinky Socks and if I open it up then my computer will explode, or my dishes will never get done, or I'll have bad luck for 345 years.
I love Snopes.com. Anytime I get an email like the one above, I immediately go to the site and type in my "Stinky Socks" subject line. Snopes.com is always on top of the latest circulating emails. They'll tell you whether your inquiry is true or false. But what I love probably a little more than Snopes.com is being able to send an expressive email to my friends telling them about the conniving emails going around.
...
