elwapo44 says "Pretty good paper but prefer others...." about Dallas Morning News

I buy the paper when in Dallas or if attending sports or concert events. Not my favorite Texas paper though, perfer the Austin American Statesman. Dallas Morning News and Houston Chronicle seem alike to me and I lump them both in also with the San Antonio Express. I pick up a free alternative weekly paper when I visit any Texas city...

elwapo44 says "Best light read for travel and travel realated ad...." about USA Today

USA Today is a good travel paper and great to grab at a hotel during a stay. The TV listings are helpful for travel and is the sports coverage. Harder to keep up with sports while traveling. I also like the weather coverage and the puzzles and entertainment sections. Perfect paper to read while waiting or traveling, light news in smaller stories. I like it but its not one that I would subscribe to at...

elwapo44 says "Best paper and the most 'national' paper we have...." about The New York Times

I don't have a lot of time so I pick and choose what stories or magazines I take the time to read. The New York Times is the best for indepth coverage and their Science section on Tuesday is a must read cover to cover. When we travel, I always look to the New York Times for national news. While I like USA Today for entertainment news anmd weather while traveling, the Times is a paper to read or to spend as much time with as you...

elwapo44 says "VERY COMFORTABLE, REASONABLY PRICED" about SpringHill Suites Austin South - Austin, TX

Very comfortable and convenient to highway to get around. Stayed here for wifes birthday, we live out west of Austin area, had big dinner plans. Very comfortable and folks were friendly, they seemed to be helpful to the folks from out of town too. Lots of fast food and family type restaurants close by. We didn't try the breakfast selections on this trip. — Convenient to go to the airport too..... —...

elwapo44 says "Pretty good but better is around" about Rudy's BBQ - Austin, TX

Pretty good barbecue if you are close by the area but there is better Que around. I like Opies out in Spicewood best but also like Salt Lick and Iron Works. Iron Works ribs and brisket at Opies are the best and my favorties. Hey, when on a budget or wanting convenience, precooked HEB brisket is pretty good. I like Opa's sausage with jalapeno and cheese best on my grill at home...
