earthgirl says "best gps I've ever used" about Garmin - eTrex Vista GPS Receiver

I got this for hiking and geocaching and it has far exceeded my expectations. It finds the location very quickly after turning it on and I have yet to lose a signal. The battery life is great. It is very easy to use and fairly intuitive.
This is one of the cheapest lightweight 2-person backpacking tents out there. It's super easy to set up even for one person. There is plenty of room inside for 2 people but their gear would have to stay outside and the vestibule isn't as quite big enough to 2 people's gear (there wouldn't be enough room for 2 large men inside the tent). The first night I used it there was a storm and I had no leaks and very little condensation inside the tent. It was also about 45deg outside but it was pretty warm in the tent. My one complaint is that one of the walls is a single wall construction and so the rainfly doesn't come all the way down (my guess is to save on the weight) but since leaks weren't a problem it's not that big of an issue. —...
