dusksunset says "Cleans dishes quietly" about Bosch Dishwasher - Evolution 500 Stainless Steel

I bought my Bosch dishwasher at Sears about a year ago. I suspect it is a slightly different model than what is shown here as they change models regularly.

But what I wanted was the Bosch reputation for quality and reliability and that's what I got. This dishwasher is so quiet, I have to put my hand on it to feel vibrations if I want to know whether it's running. The outside of mine is white, my preference to go with my kitchen, but they also come in black and stainless steel.

The inside is stainless steel and the racks are hard nylon. That's great because it means nothing inside can ever rust. In the modern style of dishwashers, the interior volume is much larger than the way dishwashers used to be made, giving greater height especially to the lower rack. That means it can hold larger pots. There is a small downside to this, however. The bottom rack is much closer to the floor, so you have to bend over a bit when loading and unloading.

The utensil rack can be put anywhere in the bottom...
...

dusksunset says "Dreams can come true, but keep yours for yourself" about Talk to Me

This movie is based on the life of Petey Greene, an ex-con who became a popular DJ in DC in the 60's. The title role is expertly portrayed by Don Cheadle, one of my favorite actors. Greene's only ambition in life is to get that DJ job and once he has achieved it, with the help of his loyal girlfriend, he is content. His show is an instant hit. Dewey Hughes, the station manager who becomes his mentor, sees a bigger future for Petey, getting him standup gigs and his own local TV show. The big time is more than Petey wants and he ultimately crashes and burns. By trying to get Greene to live out his dreams, Hughes in fact sabotages him.

Greene is probably best remembered for his broadcasts after the death of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Riots broke out in DC and his words did much to get things back to normal. Had he done nothing else in his life, he could be considered a great man. His demons of drugs and alcohol caused him to die young. The love felt for him was clear when some 10,000 people...
...
