Fri, 18 Apr 2008 09:47:29 GMT http://www.viewpoints.com/Nims-Island-review-ee994 dianall 4 http://www.viewpoints.com/Best-Romantic-Comedies-My-Top-List-review-fe4b3 The best romantic comedies for me should stand-up to repeated (ad nauseum) viewings, inspire me to cuddle with my husband and make me laugh as well.  — In no particular order, here they are: — 1.  When Harry Met Sally  This movie isn't just about romance and humor.  It's also about how friendship is the best possible foundation for a marriage.  The most well-known scene of Meg Ryan faking an orgasm in a diner still makes me laugh, but the rest of the movie does too, especially when Harry and Sally's two best friends, Marie and Jess, ditch their respective title dates in the midst of their double date and run off in a cab together.   A great movie with some poignant moments and a lot of heartfelt romance.  — 2.  50 First Dates   This was a movie that surprised me.  A wonderful movie with a sweet romance at it's center surrounded by odd characters and a truly unusual... Fri, 18 Apr 2008 08:42:44 GMT http://www.viewpoints.com/Best-Romantic-Comedies-My-Top-List-review-fe4b3 dianall 5 http://www.viewpoints.com/Verizon-Wireless-Broadband-review-a3ee4 We'd had troubles with Verizon's telephone service many times, but that horror story is nothing compared to their internet service, which is so incredibly inept, I'm surprised they have any customers at all. — Seven years ago we moved.  I called Verizon to switch our internet service and phone service.   They took over two weeks to reconnect our internet service.   If that wasn't bad enough, two weeks after it was on, it stopped working.  When I called tech support, they told me 'of course it's not working, it takes several weeks to get it reconnected after a move or if you're a new customer!'  After I explained I'd already been reconnected two weeks after waiting the two weeks before that, the rep told me, after ten minutes on hold while he looked it up, that the rep I'd spoken to on the phone regarding our move had filed the wrong paperwork, which resulted in them cutting off our service and starting the entire... Fri, 18 Apr 2008 06:38:35 GMT http://www.viewpoints.com/Verizon-Wireless-Broadband-review-a3ee4 dianall 1 http://www.viewpoints.com/Comcast-Cable-Company-review-5e8d5 We've been Comcast subscribers for many years now.  Since moving to Snohomish County (in Washington state), we've had really good Comcast service.  When needed immediate service due to our cable box going out, the service people showed up exactly at the time they said they would.  They were polite, set up the box quickly, answered all my questions and really listened.   When we had the service re-connected after our move three years ago, the service tech spent an hour working to boost our signal strength so we'd get a great signal instead of just a so-so one.  The last time a service rep was here he gave us two extra remotes because our old ones had lost the battery covers in the back.  — The only complaints we have about Comcast is their cable boxes tend to fritz out more frequently than I'd expect and their cost is a little higher than we'd like, but then isn't everything lately?  We've had to have ours... Fri, 18 Apr 2008 05:55:08 GMT http://www.viewpoints.com/Comcast-Cable-Company-review-5e8d5 dianall 4 http://www.viewpoints.com/Firefly-The-Complete-Series-review-b23f3 This late, great TV series created by Joss Whedon, who also created Buffy the Vampire Slayer, remains one of the best TV series ever created for TV, even more than four years after it's premature cancelation by Fox Television.  Featuring a cast that clicked from the very first episode, this 14-episode series had humor, action, drama, intriging characters and even romance.   The series is set in a future world where humans, having outgrown earth, have ventured out into the depths of space to settle a new solar system run by a meddling conglomerate-style government called the Alliance.  The only super powers left are the United States and China, who have merged into one entity.  When the crew of the spaceship, Serenity, take on passengers to try to make money between smuggling jobs, illegal salvage operations and legitimate transport runs, they get more than they bargained for when they accept Dr. Simon...
