dfly22000 says "My Sony Vaio keeps me productive" about Sony VAIO

I bought my Sony Vaio about a year ago because I am working on my dissertation and wanted something portable to use while I was collecting data. I love this laptop. The graphics are great, and it's powerful. It doesn't take long at all to download files or other data. I haven't had any technical problems with it at all. The one disadvantage is that it runs Windows Vista, and there was no option on this particular model to get Windows XP. The computer is powerful enough to handle my large data files, and analyzing data on this computer is a breeze. It is lightweight, and looks really cool with it's shiny dark blue color. I have also played many games on this computer, and it handles the graphics quite well. It also comes with a built in webcam, which is a great little feature. The battery life is about two hours, which I think is average nowadays. The keyboard is a little tighter than others, so I had to spend some time getting used to it - it's not as spaced out as...
...

dfly22000 says "ProActive really controls my acne!" about Proactiv Solution Acne Treatment

I have used ProActive for about 5 years now. Before I used it, my face would break out all the time. I couldn't believe that even as I got older, my acne did not go away. I used ProActive at the advice of a friend, and within a week my face started clearing up. It's pretty easy to use, just a quick 3-step system. I started out using it twice a day, but now just use it in the morning, and it still keeps my face clear. One thing about it is that you get the best deal by ordering the kits, but you don't use all the products in the same time frame. So I find myself running out of the cleanser before the clarifyer and moisturizer. While they have the product for sale at the mall, the cost of one item is almost the same as a whole kit, so I usually order the kit. You can change your online order to fill in the gaps - for example, every other shipment I order 2 of the cleansers, then switch back to ordering the kits. Overall, ProActive has helped me keep my face clear of acne....
...

dfly22000 says "I'm addicted to gameplaying on PS3" about Playstation 3 - 80GB

The Playstation 3 is an absolutely fabulous console. I bought it several years ago, when it was almost double the price it is now, so now's a good time to buy. You get a blu-ray player with it, which is worth the price alone. There is a wide variety of games to choose from, and the graphics are unbelievable. The gameplay is button driven, and you don't have to dance and wave your arms around your living room looking stupid, like some other game consoles have you do. The games are a pricey, but the prices are similar for other games on Wii or Xbox, so they're not unusually high. When I first got the PS3, I was so amazed at the graphics, and I played for hours on end. I enjoy their proprietary game (LittleBigPlanet) immensely. It really allows you to open up to your creativity and try your hand at creating your own gameplay. Since the price has dropped on these consoles to almost half of what they were a couple years ago (and they are even cheaper on craigslist or ebay),...
...

dfly22000 says "Sometimes I even get lost with a GPS!" about Garmin - Nuvi 200

I've used the Garmin Navi200 for about two years now. I am amazed that sometimes I still get lost, even with the Garmin. I think the maps are good and the highlighted route is relatively easy to follow, but I still have problems with this GPS. Sometimes I feel it is taking me the most roundabout route, rather than just staying on the major highway. Also, sometimes the written instructions don't update fast enough, so I end up missing a turn. I find that if I just keep my eye on the map/route, I can usually figure it out, but it is distracting when you are trying to drive. The spoken directions are usually accurate, but it is difficult to listen to if you have someone else in the car and are trying to carry on a conversation. It's fine if you are just driving by yourself. The Garmin often takes a long time to find the satellites, which leaves you just sitting in your driveway or in a parking lot until the maps are downloaded. Overall, it's useful in finding a new location,...
...

dfly22000 says "Convenient for apartments that ban charcoal grills" about George Foreman Grill - Indoor GRP4P

I have a George Foreman electric grill. I bought it because my apartment building bans charcoal and propane grills, but they allow the electric plug-in grills. I have it on my porch, and use it quite frequently throughout the summer. It is the kind that is on a stand, and you can adjust the height. There is one grilling surface that is nonstick, which is nice. However, I find that if you use any kind of marinade on the meat, it sticks like crazy. It kinda sucks, because you end up not being able to use any of the cool marinades that are out there. Also, I find that the grill does a nice job with cooking stuff, but that I really miss the charcoal flavor. A friend of mine suggested using Liquid Smoke, which I tried, and it does give it a bit of a smoky flavor. But it's not as good as the real deal, unfortunately. I'd say that overall, the Foreman is a healthy way to prepare a meal, allows you to enjoy the summer, and is a good alternative if you live in an apartment...
...

dfly22000 says "I've used Prozac for over 10 years" about Fluoxetine Prozac

I've used Prozac for over 10 years now, and would say it's a pretty good medication. It has definitely helped with my depression. When I first started taking it, I noticed a huge difference. I felt happy for the first time in years. I take 60mg a day, at nightime. The one down side is that it gave me some really bad insomnia. I didn't sleep for the first five days I took it. But when I contacted my doctor, she prescribed a sleeping aid, which works just fine. I think that Prozac has helped maintain my mood over the years. I have thought of quitting, but I really don't want to return to the depression that I had before I started taking Prozac. I had tried other anti-depressants, which really made me feel full of anger, especially during my period. Prozac has not had that effect at all. I still have bad days every once in a while, but that is to be expected. I haven't had any other side effects with Prozac, even though I've taken it for so long. Overall, I think...
...

dfly22000 says "Sleep like a baby with Trazodone" about trazodone Insomnia Medication

I use Trazodone every night to help me fall asleep. I take anti-depressants which gave me insomnia, and then my doctor prescribed Trazodone. I just take a low amount - half a pill - every night, and it really helps me fall asleep. No more anxious thoughts running through my head and keeping me awake. I also like it because I know if I take it, I will sleep through the night. I don't experience any kind of hangover effect with it at all. It's a cheap medication, too, so even if you don't have insurance, you can afford it. I think it's like $7.00 a month. I also have a health plan where I can order three months' worth at a time, which also cuts down on the cost. I used to lie awake at night, tossing and turning, and waking up at every sound. Now I sleep peacefully, and it really makes a difference during my day. I am much more productive with a good night's sleep. I have also been able to wean myself down to a lower dose - I started at a higher dose. To be able...
...

dfly22000 says "A great company with excellent customer service" about Enterprise Rent-A-Car

Enterprise is a great car rental company. They really take the hassle out of renting a car. I share a car with my spouse, and we usually carpool, but sometimes I need a car of my own for the day. I always use Enterprise because they will pick you up and drop you off, which makes the whole rental process easier. You can avoid the hassle of having someone meet you at the car rental place and take you home. They are also great on customer service. I always encounter friendly people and they seem to really value you as a customer. They also have a policy where you just have to leave as much gas in the car as when you found it - one time, I didn't even put extra gas in the car because it was a short trip, and I wasn't charged a penny! They can be a little expensive if you rent for more than a day but less than a week, but their rates are okay for one day (about $40) and seem reasonable for a week. I would recomment Enterprise to anyone who can get by with using a car occasionally....
...

dfly22000 says "Cool and minty - makes brushing fun!" about Aquafresh Toothpaste

Aquafresh toothpaste fits its name to a tee - fresh. It leaves your mouth feeling cool and clean, and tastes refreshingly minty. I like it better than some of the other toothpastes, which leave me with a very dry mouth. And it's cool how there are three colors - it looks pretty sitting on top of your toothbrush. I use Aquafresh every day, and feel like it works really well. I have very few cavities when I go to the dentist. I also use it with my electric toothbrush, and it doesn't leave any buildup or residue at all. You only need a small amount of Aquafresh to get your whole mouth feeling clean and fresh. It's not too minty, either. Sometimes, other brands are so minty it feels like it's burning my mouth. Or maybe that is some chemical they put in there to make your teeth white or something. Aquafresh works without all those junky chemicals they put in other toothpastes. Just squeeze some on your toothbrush, brush vigorously, and you are ready to start your day!
...

I think UMass Boston is one of the best values around. You get a really good education, and it doesn't leave you broke. If you are a student and you live in the state of Massachusetts, you should seriously consider applying to UMass Boston. It's easy to get to on the "T" and there is a free shuttle bus to campus from tht "T" stop. Classes are scheduled at really convenient times, and they have day, evening, and online classes. You really have access to the best of the best professors. They really care about the students, and will go the extra mile to help you learn. There are also a lot of resources there, such as a career center, tutors, the Ross Center for Disabilities. Even if you think you can't get in to the school, try their DSP program. It is a summer program that helps you get ready for college, and if you complete it, you are automatically admitted to UMass Boston in the fall. I think UMass Boston is a great place to learn!
...
