detroitdolly says "St. Ives Microdermabrasion is not quite what it seems." about St. Ives Elements Microdermabrasion

i have been surprised and pleased by a lot of st. ives products, particularly the anti aging daily facial exfoliant. the cool blue color along with the renderings of crystals were what attracted me to this product. i like to try new things, though i am serious about my skin care and don't like to experiment with my face. i had been using the mary kay microdermabrasion system which includes extremely fine crystals as well as a soothing renewal serum. i was happy to see something that was easy to get at any store and carried the st. ives name. i have used this product a few times and the crystals are not very fine and are also surprisingly abrasive, and not in a good way. i feel this product is more of a regular exfoliant, less of a microdermabrasion product. this is not to say it does not make the face more smooth. it does. but it does not compare to the mary kay system. because the price was less than $8.00, i don't feel bad about trying it and not thinking it is beyond...
...

detroitdolly says "Olay Regenerist is always a best bet to improve skin tone." about Olay Regenerist Daily Regenerating Serum

olay regenerist is a product i have used consistently for over 4 years. it is a lightweight, velvety serum that can be used alone or with a moisturizer. i find that it lasts about 3-4 months and is a great value for the money. best of all it can be found at almost any mass merchandiser and drug store as well as online. the amount used is only a dot and it smoothes over the skin like a dream and leaves the skin soft and satiny smooth to the touch. for oily skin like mine, i seldom choose to add anything like another moisturizer to it, but you certainly can with no ill effects. this product performs well and the quality is always consistent. the fact that it can be used both during the day and the evening is a money saver because you don't need two products--a day and a night serum--to get great results. i really believe the quality of my skin has improved with this product. the scent is light and pleasant and i actually prefer it over the unscented version.
...

detroitdolly says "The Wave is an all-in-one way to get fit." about The Wave

the wave fitness system is advertised on tv on an infomercial and on the internet as well. they are part of the firm, a work out system known to many who try to get fit at home. the firm has a good name in the marketplace, so it was not hard to decide on taking a chance with the wave. the wave is actually a curved board apparatus that can be used on either its curved out or curved in side. it comes with a small mat which holds the wave board in one place on your floor. i use it on a carpeted surface and it does move around a bit, but mostly all as one--mat and board. when you are doing reverse push ups on it, it is hard to keep it from sliding away from your feet. anyway, i have enjoyed this wave system of home exercise. the little board is quite versatile and you use your own weights to make things more challenging. the system comes with 3 dvds--ride the wave (mostly instructions on how not to fall off of it), rock off, a 40 minute workout, express abs, a 10 minute work...
...

detroitdolly says "Motorola RIZR Z3 is flash but not much else." about Motorola - RIZR Z3 Cell Phone

i was first offered this stylish, flashy little phone about 2 years ago when i renewed my contract with t-mobile. i was going to get a razr, also by motorola, but was talked into getting the newer and even cooler rizr z3. this is a sturdy little phone that has a slide up face plate--hence rise-er--to reveal the numbers underneath. this phone now retails for about 189.00 and you can get it for free with a contractual service obligation. it takes photos, however, if it is dark you will need to use the light to illuminate the immediate area. the light is like a flash that stays on. it is conspicuous and annoying. the photos are never that clear. however, the video camera takes some pretty neat video with clear sound that can't be heard until downloaded to your computer. the cables needed to download as well as a memory card adapter comes with it. i have never put mp3 music on my phone because i don't believe that is the best way to listen to music. i do occasionally download...
...

detroitdolly says "Radio Shack's 16 Memory Speakerphone does it all!" about Radio Shack - 16 Mem Speakerphone with CID

i found myself in a situation where i needed a part time job doing in at home customer service. this type of endeavor has become very popular lately and i was at a loss as to how much equipment would cost, quality, where to shop, etc. i searched the internet and saw there was a myriad of products that were rather costly. i went into the local radio shack and discovered a great phone for $39.99 that had all the features i needed to do what needed to be done, and of course, if i ended up not doing this work, i would still have a cool corded phone. the phone does not take up much room at all and has big buttons and a clear display. the calls are clear and the volume is adjustable. i was also concerned with what kind of headset could be used with the item, without breaking the bank or having a bunch of unneeded bells and whistles. i paired it with the voice star vs300 headset, which was $29.99 and also at radio shack. mission accomplished, without a huge expense. there is no...
...

the att e 5908 5.8 ghz corded/cordless phone with answering machine solves a few problems. it gives you a stationary phone with a speaker, hold, caller id and other bells and whistles with an answering machine. the answering machines speaks to you to tell you how many new and saved messages you have, as well as what day of the week and at what time the message was received. it has the handset in the cradle, plus att gives you a cordless phone with it's own power base as well. this is great for the bedroom, where the cordless can be on one nightstand and the phone/answering machine on the other or even the dresser. if you have a home office one phone can be on the desk and the other nearby on a table in a seating area. i have a lot of power outages in my area and this phone and answering system handles it well. what is not so great is that if the cordless handset is dropped, you can end up with it refusing to work. the good news is that att's customer service reps are very...
...

detroitdolly says "RoC Multi Correxion Night Treatment is light and feels natural." about RoC Multi Correxion Nigh Treatment

roc multi-correxion night treatment is a wonderful, lightweight cream that comes in a tube and is non greasy. i use it every night after i wash my face, along with the roc multi correxion eye treatment. this is a great one-two punch. this product claims to reduce the look of dark circles, however, i have never used it under my eyes. my skin has a brighter, luminous look when i awaken in the morning. some of the active ingredients in roc multi-correxion night treatment are vitamin c, antioxidants and retinol. there is no irritation or redness. when the product first goes on, it looks a bit shiny, but not to worry, it quickly absorbs and leaves you looking natural. best of all, just as the name implies, it corrects a multitude of things, leaving your skin looking rejuvenated, fine lines and wrinkles visibly diminished and an overall more youthful appearance. also, unlike a lot of creams, it firms without making your face feel hard.
...

detroitdolly says "RoC Actif Pur Daily Moisturizer is a great sunscreen as well." about RoC Actif Pur Daily Moisturizer

this fantastic moisturizer is light, non greasy and does not clog pores. i put it on in the morning, with its spf 15 sunscreen, and it lasts all day long. i like that this product does not have a strange or intrusive smell, especially with the sunscreen. roc actif pur moisturizer with sunscreen has retinol as well as the alpha hydroxy glycolic acid in it. it is advertised as a wrinkle reducer which uncovers younger looking skin in just 4 weeks. i can attest that this is true. it renews the surface of the skin by lightly exfoliating the skin. i did not have any issues with redness or irritation.i love how soft, and just plain youthful it makes my face. i get compliments on looking younger than i am, but i know that roc actif pur is part of the reason. the cost is about $19.99, but you may be able to find it cheaper in some drug stores. online, you may be able to find it as a two pack, which is quite economical. the only downside is that it can be hard to find, though...
...

roc retinol correxion eye cream in the gold box is a wonderful discovery. it is not very expensive, usually between $19.99-24.99 depending on if you buy from the web or in your local drug store. i use it in the morning and in the evening before bed. just a couple of tiny dabs is all that is needed. my eyes can sometimes have a bit or darkness under them because of allergies. when i use this product i have no ill effects, just a light and luminous look. it can be worn alone or under your concealer and/or makeup. the formula is opthamologist tested, non clogging of pores, oil free and hypoallergenic. when i first started using it, i felt the retinol (which really helps keep skin young looking) was too strong for me because i was getting some burning on the skin around my eyes. however, once my skin got used to it (it took about a week), there were no more problems. i never had deep crinkles around the eyes, but whatever was there is gone. i love the way i look and i...
...

i needed a workhorse of a blender to crush ice and make truly blended fruit smoothies. i read all the reviews before taking the plunge and am i glad i did! this baby is used almost daily and i use frozen fruit and six ice cubes for my daily smoothies. i have discovered that any negatives have to do with operator error. if you are blending frozen fruit, cold liquid and ice, the contents can sometimes become so cold that they cling to the sides of the blender and the blades whir without blending. just add more liquid and/or use a wooden spoon to push the ingredients back toward the blades, or better yet wait a moment or two and let things thaw slightly. you will only have to do this once and then be prepared for a frozen, frosty, fab concoction. always make sure you have enough liquid--milk, yogurt or fruit juice is best depending on the type of smoothie. the glowing blue light on the machine adds to its stylish profile. the base is clear plexiglass with black/silver button indicators. ...
...
