I was currently in search of comfortable socks that I could wear with my tennis shoes that were soft, durable and comfortable. I found the Women's Diabetic Active Crew Sock from FootSmart. I've bought other socks and shoes from this company so I knew they were great and comfy.

The Diabetic Active Crew Socks are recommended for sensitive feet like mine. These socks help keep me on my feet all day in comfort unlike other socks, I'm not constantly adjusting them or pulling them up and the cushioning never wears out like many other socks. I love that the Active Crew Socks keep me active all day and my feet don't ache after hours of running around. I've had the Active Crew Socks for over a year and they still are great, the padding remains and they haven't started thinning nor do they have any holes in them; the same condition as the day I bought them! Last winter I moved back home where it's cold and snowy in the winter making me depend on snow boots. All my socks were pretty much regular tennis shoe socks and would slip down in my boots. So on my hunt for good boot socks I found the Chill Buster Socks by Footsmart (online).

What I like about Chill Buster Socks: Chill Buster Socks are nice and thick and guaranteed no slipping down in my boots, but they're not too tight either. As a very special treat, I purchase a box of Pedigree Little Champions packets for my two dogs to share. My pups usually get dry food only, so giving them a combination of the wet food and dry food together was a big treat for them.

I absolutely LOVE the way Pedigree Little Champions comes packaged. In one box, you get several pouches of food. Each pouch is one serving. The serving is small - Only a little over five ounces. The pouches are lined up nice and neatly in the box, so you can keep them all stored in the box until they are gone. The pouches are very easy to open and the food, literally, slides right out. You don't have to get a spoon and dig it out, or bang on the bottom it to get the food out....it just slides right out. SO EASY! Since the servings are so small, I mix it in with the dry food and give it to my pups. THEY LOVE IT! I have never seen my dogs devour their food with such intensity. While out shopping, I was speaking to another shopper about how much I miss the Glade holiday scent, Glistening Snow. Discontinued this year, it was the only scent that I had ever found that smelled like Christmas. As we were talking, the woman happened to mention a product I had never heard of. ScentSicles. She informed me that ScentSicleswere sold at Walmart (where I happened to be) and worked really well in giving an authentic scent of pine.

I was able to located ScentSiclesscented ornaments in with the seasonal merchandise in Walmart. They were actually on an endcap all by themselves. There were only two packages left, and I bought the 'White Pine' scent. ScentSicles are green sticks that you hang directly on the Christmas tree. There were six ScentSiclesto a pack and each stick was about 5" in length. The top of each stick in capped with a silver area where you can insert a ornament hanger. I really love the new Tex-Mex cantina in Wicker Park - Big Star. The owners of Avec started Big Star... nice group. Let's just say I went there 3 nights in a row so it must be good. Located across from The Violet Hour on Damen near Milwaukee. Great vibe, greater food and drinks. I'm in love.

The highlights...

- $2 tacos (chicken, fish, pork, veggie)

- Impressive tequila & bourbon list. Plus, a ginger & beer cocktail that I love. Most cocktails are $7.

- On tap: Goose Island's Matilda ($6), Lagunita lager ($4) & Schlitz ($1)

- Super fresh quacamole, handmade tortillas

- Chill atmosphere, friendly staff

- Good music. They play records. Yes real records on a record player! Mostly rockabilly, old country (think Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash)

As an overnight stop, I kinda like this place. Traveling from the Mpumalanga region of eastern South Africa headed to Zimbabwe, my travel agent booked me into a "safe haven" in the Johannesburg suburb of Sandton. Not to my usual tastes, as I like to get more into the local flavor and hang with the locals, but an easy place to hang out overnight whilst waiting for my flight the next morning. While a little bit hesitant on first arrival, the place grew on me quite quickly.

Check in was smooth. Staff was efficient and cordial. Room was downright impressive. Marble bathrooms elegantly appointed and a comfortable bed. Television was cablized to get the international news and events, and they had free internet. So far so good.

What I hadn't realized is the hotel being connected to a monstrously high end mall with around 600 stores accessible from the hotel lobby. You name it, you could get it in this mall, not to mention scores of restaurants to choose from. Local dishes,...

I stumbled across The Grinch Christmas Bingo Game at Target and as soon as I saw it, I grabbed it up. I love Christmas, I love The Grinch, and I like playing Bingo, so this game had a lot going for it. I was attracted right away to the packaging of The Grinch Christmas Bingo Game because it comes in a brightly colored tin container with 3D lettering and graphics. The game is approved for children 4+, so I was pretty safe in the age department.

As soon as I showed The Grinch Christmas Bingo Game to my two children (boys, ages 8 & 13) they wanted to play. OF COURSE THEY DID! It's the Grinch! When we opened up the game, there were a lot of "oohs" and 'aahs' from us, as the game is has a 3D piece that sets up to look like part of a living room with Christmas tree and a chimney! HOW COOL!

The directions were very easy to follow, and this Bingo game has a little twist that makes it different from other Bingo games. We all liked the twist a lot. Here is how you play The Grinch...

A friend of mine at Viewpoints recently passed along a site called www.buyuggsboot.net. She found it online. www.buyuggsboot.net is a web site that sells all styles of Ugg Boots at discounted prices.

We werent certain if www.buyuggsboot.net were the real or not. But after a thorough review of the site, we thought it was legit. Buyuggsboot.net looks like a reasonable reseller of Ugg Boots. The page is designed well, the pictures look authentic and they make claim to having the real deal. They also consistently site throughout the web site having customer satisfaction commitments.

To add to the thought it was authentic, the pricing seemed good but not amazing. As you probably know a typical pair of Ugg Boots cost about $110. On Buyuggsboot.net the cost was $89.00- approximately a $20 savings. Seemed like a good deal, but they werent so cheap that I thought it could be scam. There are some subjects you just want to talk about. This review is about one of those topics. Maxi Pads. UGH - I hate that word, and I hate the time of month that goes along with it, but....still. There are some products you come across that are just so 'different' that you HAVE to share your experience. Here's mine.

Always Maxi Overnight Extra Heavy Flow pads. WOOF! I have never in my life seen a maxi pad that is as large as this thing. I mean it is HUGE. GIANT! A surfboard! For the sake of this review, I'm sitting here with a ruler so I can measure the size of this thing. Here it goes.... While still in it's individual wrapper it measures over 1/2", obviously when it's unwrapped it's not nearly as thick. The length of this maxi pad is what I find so unbelievable! I just measured it and it measured at 15" long. THAT IS OVER ONE FOOT of maxi pad that you are supposed to wear while you sleep. Good luck with that! (Oh, also they have wings so they cover...

This review is the for New Moon movie, and not the New moon book.

The day before Thanksgiving, I splurged and took the kids to see the New Moon movie. I rarely pay the prices at the box office, but because I enjoyed all the Twilight books so much I wanted to see the movie. Of course, there was a long line to see the New Moon movie, but we were able to get into the first showing. The theater was packed, but even the pre-teen girls that were there to watch it were quiet and behaved themselves during the film, so I was happy.

For the record, the New Moon book was my least favorite of the series. I found it to be slow and boring, and the characters all annoyed me. While the New Moon moviewas also a bit slow in parts, I thought that the Jacob character was well presented and I actually started to like his character (I hated the Jacob character in the books). It didn't hurt that Taylor Lautner, the actor that played Jacob, was absolutely gorgeous and really buffed up for the movie....

I've come to realize that men's shaving products, such as razors, are EXPENSIVE! Just Friends did not receive the attention it deserved when it was at the movie theaters. In fact, I never heard of the movie until I watched it on DVD as a rental. However, after watching Just Friendsonce, I ran out and bought the movie and added it to my DVD collection. IT IS HYSTERICAL!!! Absolutely hilarious film that stars Ryan Reynolds (love him!), Anna Faris, Amy Smart, Chris, Klein, and a host of others.

NO SPOILERS IN THIS REVIEW -

Just Friends is an unsuspecting Christmas comedy that the entire family can enjoy together. When handsome and successful Chris Brander (Reynolds) returns to his hometown on an unexpected trip, he is put in the position to be face-to-face with his best fried from high school (who he was secretly in love with). Although Chris arrives back home confident and self-assured, being back in his hometown and surrounding by people he went to high school with, he quickly loses his confidence and is sucked back into his insecure old self. It is hilarious....

When you're sick and have to blow your nose CONSTANTLY, the last thing you want to do is use a rough tissue. Am I right? It just plain hurts!
