dallen54 says "B&D Home Cafe is durable, easy to use and makes great coffee!" about Black & Decker Home Cafe

I had a previous model of this and used it until I wore it out. I was so glad I was able to find another because it makes a great cup of coffee very quickly. Pods can be pricey, but if you only want a cup of coffee in the long run it saves money from all the wasted pots. It's very easy to use and easy to clean. It presses the pods much better than the Melitta One to One and makes a slightly better cup of coffee.
...

dallen54 says "Melitta One to One is quick & easy and makes good coffee!" about Melitta One to One

This pod coffee brewer is very easy to use and makes a quick cup of coffee. It is very noisy when brewing, and it does not press the pod the way the Home Cafe pod brewer does, which is why I did not give it 5 stars. The coffee is like fresh brewed and is much better than instant coffee while being just as quick.
...

dallen54 says "GREAT little camera!" about Fuji - FinePix Z1 Digital Camera

This was the first of the new 'Z' line of Fuji cameras. I purchased this camera about 3 years ago - back when it was expensive - but it's been well worth the cost. I was prepared to buy a more expensive camera and the salesman showed me this one. He said it's every bit as good as the more expensive ones I was looking at from other companies and he was absolutely right! This camera can fit in the smallest purse or pocket, has the quickest start up of any camera I've tried, and takes excellent pictures. It's been dropped a few times, but with it's sturdy solid body it didn't cause any harm. My husband, who hasn't used a camera in years and is not into much techie stuff, is now using it with very little instruction and loves it as well. ...

dallen54 says "Durable yet Functional - and FUN!" about Panasonic - Lumix DMC-TZ3 Digital Camera

I have a Fuji Finepix Z1 and absolutely love it - but was looking for a camera with more substance, yet still easy to carry around and relatively inexpensive. This one fits the bill. It has a 10x optical zoom and optical image stabilization which are both hard to find in this size and price range. It also has a very sturdy metal body as opposed to so many with plastic parts that can easily break or crack. The downside to this tough exterior is that it is also heavier that others of similar size. There is a lot to experiment with in learning to use this camera, but it's fun in the process....

My husband and I have ordered many things from amazon and have always been satisfied. Recently I received an item damaged and they were quick to respond with several options to rectify the situation and they followed through with my request within a day. We have even purchased things at a much lower cost from them than from the manufacturer. Also, when we have ordered from other sites through them we know we can trust the 3rd party because amazon ensures reliability....

dallen54 says "You won't believe how quickly you will earn great rewards!" about MyPoints

I've been a member of My Points for several years now. It only takes a few minutes a day to click in emails and earn points. If you already shop online, if you do so through the My Points website you earn points for every dollar spent. The points quickly add up and I have enjoyed many "free" gift cards for department stores and restaurants.

When I want to redeem points it only takes a few minutes and the reward is usually within a week but never more than 2 weeks.

The only downside is that some points take longer, and I am currently waiting to find out why some are showing as deducted. Customer service does respond quickly to questions and does their best to get answers, although sometimes when they don't know it takes too long to get satisfactory answers.

Overall, it's the best reward website I've used.
...

dallen54 says "Great Coffee NOW" about Black & Decker One Cup Coffee Maker

I used this for about 2 years until I wore it out and parts started breaking. Unfortunately I'd gotten it cheap when it was discontinued and to replace with the newer model it will be about $60. I therefore tried to save money and bought the Melitta One:One that was also a $50 machine on clearance at Big Lots for $12. I wish I'd gone for the full priced Home Cafe.

Home Cafe you just fill and press the button. It heats up and makes the coffee while you go about your morning routines. It pressed the coffee through like a French coffee press and came out full-flavored. It makes small cups so you sometimes need to press twice, but I found you could do that with the same pod and still have a good cup.

I'm now hoping for my Melitta to wear out quickly so I can justify buying another Home Cafe.
...

dallen54 says "Stick with Home Cafe" about Melitta One Cup Coffee Maker

I had a Home Cafe that I used until it wore out. I loved it and wanted to replace it but found it had been discontinued and the new ones were expensive. I found this Melitta One:One at Big Lots for $12. Original retail was as high as the Home Cafe and since Melitta is a known name with a good reputation I thought I was getting a bargain. If I hadn't already experienced the Home Cafe I wouldn't know any different, but comparitively the Home Cafe beats it hands down.

This brewer requires you to turn it on and wait until the light stops blinking while the water heats up. On a busy work morning who has time to stand around and wait? The Home Cafe heats up and automatically brews once it's heated without pressing again.

The Home Cafe actually presses the coffee through, as this type of brewer is supposed to do. The Melitta One:One sends coffee through, but when done, the pod is sitting in water, indicating it's not pressed like it's supposed to be. It's possible that is due...
...

dallen54 says "Providing peace of mind when you can't be there yourself!" about Miss Rita & Company Pet Sitters - - Kinston, NC

We have 2 cats. We are fairly new to the area and didn't know anyone we could ask to come feed them when we travel, so we had taken them to the vet's for boarding. They were fine and safe, but spent the entire time in a small cage and were always nervous for a time when we returned and brought them back home. It just seemed cruel and we knew there had to be a better option.

We had heard about pet sitters that come to your home to feed your pets when you are out of town, but were leary of giving a key to someone we didn't know - especially when they would know we'd be out of town. We found an advertisement for Miss Rita & Company and decided to give them a call to see how their service worked.

They came to our home for an interview so they could see our home and pets and we could meet them and learn about their service. We found them to be very easy to talk to and we immediately felt at ease and knew we could trust them. Our cats also warmed up to them right away,...
...
