dalijon says "Value your education -- if you don't, I suggest you put it off." about Why Should I go to College? - Everywhere,USA

An education, I believe is one of the most valuable things in the world. It can take you almost anywhere. Through it, you can follow your interest and possibly transform your life. I think too many people go to college because someone else thinks they should. This is not necessarily a bad a reason, as you may find that once there, you discover am interest that you never knew existed. But if you feel very strongly that you don't think you'll get much out of college -- my suggestion to you is this -- don't go. Go out and experience the world some. You may find at some point you want to go back to college and at that point, I think you will get far more out of your experience. — — As for me, I went to college (Brown '83+) directly from high school, took a semester off during school, and an extra semester in school. I then took a year off before attended medical school (NYU '89) and eventually got a masters in information science (University of Pittsburgh '95) so I...

dalijon says "Puts the Power in Your Pocket" about IOGEAR GearJuice Rechargeable Mobile Pocket Power

This is a great product -- well designed, very functional, and an excellent value. You simply plug the unit into your USB port via the supplied short cord, to charge the unit. There are series of lights, like the bars on your cell phone, that light up to show you at a glance how much "juice" is in the unit. The really cool thing is that the same cord you use to connect the unit to your USB port is now used to connect your GearJuice to your cell phone, MP3 player, or other device to charge it by simply plugging the USB end into the GearJuice and the other end into the appropriate tip adaptor for your device (it comes with 7 commonly used tips and there are, by my count at least 40 other tips available). I've charged up my cell phone several times before needing to re-charge my GearJuice. Finally, there is a nice soft carrying pouch that holds the unit and adaptor tips. I do wish they had made a separate pocket within the pouch for the adaptor tips, because it seems like the tips...

dalijon says "Finally Can Play My iPod in the Car!" about Digital Life Outfitters - TransDock micro FM Transmitter for Apple iPod (0038890)

Very happy with the TransDock Micro so far. It looks cool, works great, and is easy to use. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that it is a really tight fit in my cigarette lighter plug-in thingie (you know what I mean). I have to really push on it to get it in or pull really hard to get it out and I'm concerned about breaking the unit. I think this problem may improve with...

dalijon says "Simply Great Shoes" about Inov8 - Terroc 330 Running for Men

These are simply great shoes. I saw them in a magazine and checked out the Inov8 website over a year and a half ago and took a chance and ordered a pair. I've worn them almost constantly as my everyday shoes and they have been great -- comfortable, durable, and stylish in an understated way. I'm looking forward to ordering another pair of Inov8's to try out some of their other styles. Though I am not a serious off-road runner, I can't imagine a better shoe for this purpose and they are great for day hikes. I highly recommend them. — — Here is a link to the Inov8 website: http://www.inov-8.com —...

dalijon says "One of the single best purchases I have ever made" about MacBook - Apple MacBook Pro

Great product -- met and exceeded my expectations. I had been a mac user from the early days (got the original Macintosh in 1984), but due to work, switched to a PC many years ago. When it became possible to run Windows on a Mac (real Windows, not an emulation), it allowed me to return to a mac and I love it. I now spend most of my time on the mac side only going to Windows for those programs that I can't run under the Mac OS. — — The design and durability of the MacBook Pro (MBP) is outstanding. I did have a problem in the first month I owned my MBP (some kind of error message kept popping up -- can't recall exactly what it was), but when I took it to the Apple Store, the simply gave me a new unit and have been trouble free since until a week ago (over a year and a half later) when my MagSafe power adapter went on the blink. I took that to the Apple Store and the promptly replaced that too -- no charge. I do have AppleCare which...
