dailygrimes says "Happiest Place on the Planet in my book!" about Disneyland

Excluding the cost of plane tickets to get from our home in Dallas to Ananheim, we can actually go for a 5 day trip to Disneyland (long weekend) as cheap, or cheaper than a long weekend to drive down to San Antonio. The package deals through disney.com are perfect and if you stay at a good neighbor hotel they get even better. The park employees are always gracious and accomodating and we've taken my very small son (2 years old now) twice in the past year (once at 13 months, once at 20 months) and both times he had a wonderful time! We're headed down to Disneyworld this year, but I can guarantee, Disneyland will be a regular vacation stop for us!...

dailygrimes says "What a cast! " about The Bucket List

I am very particular on what I will blow my $10 on to go see and I have to admit on this one, I wouldn't mind going to see it again! Freeman and Nicholson were absolutely wonderful together and Sean Hayes rounds out the cast in what I felt was his best work (aside from his portrayal in the Martin and Lewis biopic on tv). I laughed, I cried, and I felt good having seen this movie....

dailygrimes says "BEST Preschool in NW Metroplex, HANDS DOWN!" about VRUMC Weekday Children's Ministry - Lewisville,TX

We were not sure when or where to enroll our son in an early education program, but after enrolling him at Weekday Children's Ministry at Vista Ridge UMC in Lewisville, we know that we found the perfect fit! The school is relatively small - only 8 classes with about 65 students total (ages 6 months - 5 years) and the teacher ratio is phenomenal - 8 students per class with 1 teacher and 3 aides between the 8 classes, plus a dedicated music teacher! They have special events, programs, chapel, and even an awesome year end silent auction fundraiser! It has been the most wonderful program and probably the BEST kept secret in Lewisville!! My son is 2 now, and he will be at this school until he enters Kindergarten!...

dailygrimes says "Great Hotel - not so great a/c unit" about Wyndham Las Colinas - Irving, TX

Just finished up a stay at the Wyndham Las Colinas at 114 and O'Connor in Las Colinas. The hotel is quite beautiful, wonderful amenities, and a lovely staff. The breakfast buffet was small, yet tasteful and the omelet chef was OUT OF THIS WORLD!! The beds were absolutely divine with perfect mattresses and delicious linens, and I should know, I spent most of my weekend there after contracting a bacterial infection after turning on the air conditioner in the room. yuck! It's not unusual to get sore throats when using hotel a/c units, especially in cheap hotels, as it's an easily overlooked and forgotten task to clean the a/c's and heaven forbid change the filters, but I really expected better from such a wonderful hotel. So although my weekend was only half what I hoped, I will give them a tolerable rating - just DON'T TURN ON THE A/C unit!!!...

dailygrimes says "A Real Life Saver!" about Volkswagen Jetta - 2002

Bought a 2002 Jetta in 2001, drove it, loved it, planned on keeping it til the whole darn thing fell apart - then in 2004, I got hit head on by a small truck at which point I got spun around and broadsided by the car behind me. Jetta was compacted like a tin can from the outside, but inside the interior was completely protected! ALL the safety features kicked on just like they should and that car saved our lives!! I, the driver, walked away with two sprained knees and a broken finger and my husband, the passenger, only had bruises from the airbags and seatbelts! So when the insurance check came, what else would we do but go straight back to VW and buy another Jetta (2003 model this time) I am a Volkswagen Jetta customer for LIFE!...

dailygrimes says "The Gecko just might have a point" about Geico

Recently switched to GEICO and I hate to sound like one of their commercials, but I really did save over $500 per year! and to top it off, the local agent is a wonderful lady and MUCH more helpful than our old insurance agent that we had to hunt down like a dog every time we had a question. Online quote service was super easy and to finish out through the agent made the entire process quick, easy and painless (how often can you say that about anything to do with any kind of insurance!?) So now we're much happier and $500 per year richer!...
