cvt2356 says "great grocery store" about Trader Joe's - Ahwatukee, AZ

I think Trader Joe's is fantastic. It has great stuff at a cheap price. True, it does has a finicky selection, especially with regards to produce. None the less, I find it a great place to do general shopping and stock up on whats available. You can always go to another store or farmers market for produce. I always feel that at the normal grocery stores, the selection is too great. Trader Joe's has just what you need and not an overwhelming number of choices of, take for example, ketchup. I think this helps in making my shopping trip quicker. I like good food and saving money....

cvt2356 says "trusty little stove" about MSR Whisperlite

For ever and ever I have been using MSR WhisperLite stoves. It is a lightweight, trusty and durable stove. They do clog from time to time but because they are so basic, they are fairly easy to unclog just by taking a couple of things apart. I have found this stove to be perfect for hiking trips where weight and size are issues. I used to lead hiking and canoeing trips at a summer camp and we still used stoves that were purchased many many years ago. One negative, which is I think to be expected, is that one must be very careful in cooking as it is somewhat precarious because of such a small support and surface area for cookwear to rest....

cvt2356 says "awesome, basic, easy to set up 2p tent" about Sierra Designs Electron

After doing a bit of research and searching the internet for good deals, I stumbled upon the Sierra Designs Electron. I suppose as background, I consider myself to be a somewhat serious hiker and camper, but cannot afford to spend tons of money on gear. Given that, I am very happy with my choice in purchasing this tent.

Highlights:
-It is easy to set up after a long day on trail
-Small and fairly lightweight without making on feel claustrophobic
-Handles water and condensation very well.
-If weather looks good and you aren't using the fly, there is a awesome top mesh panel from which to stargaze....
