There are some subjects you just want to talk about. This review is about one of those topics. Maxi Pads. UGH - I hate that word, and I hate the time of month that goes along with it, but....still. There are some products you come across that are just so 'different' that you HAVE to share your experience. Here's mine.

Always Maxi Overnight Extra Heavy Flow pads. WOOF! I have never in my life seen a maxi pad that is as large as this thing. I mean it is HUGE. GIANT! A surfboard! For the sake of this review, I'm sitting here with a ruler so I can measure the size of this thing. Here it goes.... While still in it's individual wrapper it measures over 1/2", obviously when it's unwrapped it's not nearly as thick. The length of this maxi pad is what I find so unbelievable! I just measured it and it measured at 15" long. THAT IS OVER ONE FOOT of maxi pad that you are supposed to wear while you sleep. Good luck with that! (Oh, also they have wings so they cover...

This review is the for New Moon movie, and not the New moon book.

The day before Thanksgiving, I splurged and took the kids to see the New Moon movie. I rarely pay the prices at the box office, but because I enjoyed all the Twilight books so much I wanted to see the movie. Of course, there was a long line to see the New Moon movie, but we were able to get into the first showing. The theater was packed, but even the pre-teen girls that were there to watch it were quiet and behaved themselves during the film, so I was happy.

For the record, the New Moon book was my least favorite of the series. I found it to be slow and boring, and the characters all annoyed me. While the New Moon moviewas also a bit slow in parts, I thought that the Jacob character was well presented and I actually started to like his character (I hated the Jacob character in the books). It didn't hurt that Taylor Lautner, the actor that played Jacob, was absolutely gorgeous and really buffed up for the movie....

During the holidays, I try to find gifts that are unique and original. When I saw this Twilight jewelery box, I knew right away that it was the perfect gift idea for my friend's daughter, who is 13. Like most young girls, she is a HUGE Twilight fan and has Twilight jewelry that I thought she would like to be able to store safely inside this Twilight jewelery box.

I ordered this gift from Amazon for a price of $ 16.99. I thought that was a reasonable price, and because I'd never seen anything like it in stores I jumped at the chance to order the Twilight jewelry box. I've come to realize that men's shaving products, such as razors, are EXPENSIVE! I think the amount that they charge for a razor is just outrageous, and I refuse to pay regular price for something that will be used and thrown away. Just Friends did not receive the attention it deserved when it was at the movie theaters. In fact, I never heard of the movie until I watched it on DVD as a rental. However, after watching Just Friendsonce, I ran out and bought the movie and added it to my DVD collection. IT IS HYSTERICAL!!! Absolutely hilarious film that stars Ryan Reynolds (love him!), Anna Faris, Amy Smart, Chris, Klein, and a host of others.

NO SPOILERS IN THIS REVIEW -

Just Friends is an unsuspecting Christmas comedy that the entire family can enjoy together. When handsome and successful Chris Brander (Reynolds) returns to his hometown on an unexpected trip, he is put in the position to be face-to-face with his best fried from high school (who he was secretly in love with). Although Chris arrives back home confident and self-assured, being back in his hometown and surrounding by people he went to high school with, he quickly loses his confidence and is sucked back into his insecure old self. It is hilarious....

When you're sick and have to blow your nose CONSTANTLY, the last thing you want to do is use a rough tissue. Am I right? It just plain hurts! Puff's Ultra Soft & Strong Tissues make an enormous difference when you don't feel good. It's like blowing your nose into a nice, soft, ultra-thin blanket! Seriuosly, they are that soft!

No one likes to be sick. But when you have a nice soft box of tissues by your side, you don't mind having to blow your nose as much. Puff's Ultra Soft & Strong Tissues may cost a little more (hardly anything worth mentioning) but they are better than any discount or bargain tissue. Because they are thicker and stronger, you don't need to use as many at a time. One tissue will go a long way, thus you're saving money in the long run.

I keep Puff's Ultra Soft & Strong Tissues in my house all year long. We have a box in the bathroom and a box on the kitchen counter at all times. We may not always need them, but it's good to know we have them on...

The novel, Precious, was originally released titled, "Push" in 1996. It was renamed Precious, I think, because it was made into a movie that has yet to be released. I learned about the book Precious from Oprah Winfrey, who recommends the book.

NO SPOILERS IN THIS REVIEW:

Precious is an illiterate girl who has been sexually abused by her father, physically abused by her mother, and is pregnant with her second child from her father. For many reasons, the book Precious is difficult to read. There is graphic descriptions of the abuse that Precious suffers at the hands of both her parents, which is difficult in itself. When Precious gives birth to her first child, it is born with many birth defects and is quickly taken away from her. Pregnant with her second child at twelve years old, Precious is confused and concerned about her unborn child's health and wellness, and how she will care for it once it is born.

It seems that I am always on the go, running the kids somewhere that they need to be. Between football practice, baseball practice, school event, work, and everything in between, there is always somewhere that I need to be. As a coffee lover, I have tried several different types of travel mugs so that I can enjoy my coffee on the go. No matter how much I spend, or what type of brand I buy, travel mugs always leak and drip coffee on my clothing! It frustrates me to no end.

On a recent trip to Walgreens, I saw Chinet Comfort Cups on sale. I liked the fact that they came with lids and a chique' pattern that looked like something you'd see from your corner coffee shop. The cups came 10 to a pack, with lids, for a price of right around $ 3.00.

As soon as I tried the Chinet Comfort Cups, I began telling everyone I know about how great they are. These things are better than ANY travel mug I have ever owned! They don't leak, they keep my coffee nice and warm, and they look nice...

I am a huge fan of the Twilight series of novels by Stephenie Meyer, so I couldn't wait to check out the new movie sequel New Moon. My first reactions to this sequel of the Twilight saga was amazing! I absolutely loved the plot, the characters and the scenery was fantastic. I had previously read all four of the novels in the series so I was anxious to find out if this movie followed along with the novel, and it followed it to a tee. There was only one scene that went off on a new tangent, but it was done well and fit the movie. I really loved the characters of Edward, Bella and Jacob in this movie and the Volturi characters were displayed just as I had pictured them in the novel. Edward seems to take a secondary role in this movie to the mysterious Jacob, but there is still a lot of romance and tension between the characters of Bella and Edward. As Edward leaves the area to save Bella from the world of Vampires, Bella spirals into a depression only to be saved by her friend...

These things are absolutely, positively, 100% delicious! If someone blindfolded you, and didn't tell you what they were feeding you, you would think you were eating a candy bar with some type of delicious rice crispy treat mixed in with it. The taste is outstanding, the texture is appealing, and the chocolate....oh the chocolate! You can smell the rich dark chocolate as soon as you tear open the package! The bottom of the Fiber Plus bar is completely coated with a thin layer of dark chocolate, and then the chocolate is drizzled over the top, and there are miniature chocolate chips scattered over the top too. Scotch-Brite Cook Top Cleaner is a product that you would only use if you own a glass top stove or ceramic cook top. The way you would normally clean a glass top stove is with a liquid that you apply with a soft cloth, and then buff it in. After it is applied, you would then wipe it clean with a papertowel. It is not a difficult process, but it can be time consuming. Thus, when I saw the Scoth-Brite Cook Top Cleaner, I was intrigued because it promotes itself as being 'an easy solution to keeping your glass or ceramic cook top free from stuck-on food and grease stains'. I'm the type of person that REALLY appreciates a convenience product, and will usually purchase something if I think it will save me time.
