coelispex says "I never knew cooking could be like this!" about Semi-Homemade with Sandra Lee

Sandra Lee is my HERO!

Always before, I had to feel really badly when I had to just unwrap a frozen dinner or plop some pasta down in front of my family -- but with semi-homemade secrets, I don't have to feel badly at all! In fact, I know that I can provide my family with heathful food full of all the vitamins and minerals and perservatives that they need without having to slave for hours in the kitchen! And the cocktails -- well, they're exactly what I need after serving all that yum-yum-yummy food!
...

coelispex says "It's no lie: House is an amazing show" about HOUSE M.D.

I was never a fan of medical dramas -- and then I found House.

I can't say what first drew me to the show, but I think that a large part of it must have been Hugh Laurie. An exceptional actor, Laurie breathes life into a very complex and excruciatingly interesting character; one might not always like House, but one always finds oneself wanting to know more about him and to watch what new ways of doing things he'll find next. The development and evolution of House, as a character, is the main reason for watching the show, even if the new traumas and mysteries every week are nothing to sneeze at.
...

coelispex says "A real look at middle class life...until the last season anyway" about Roseanne

Roseanne was one of the first sitcoms I really remember being into as a kid. I remember loving it because it was like my family -- none of the cute, squishy stuff from some of the other sitcoms, it showed families that, at times, fought and argued, but always came back together when it REALLY mattered. It also touched me that the women on the show, instead of being the typical sumbissive housewives and daughters, knew how to stand up for themselves and their beliefs. It really showed what it was like to be a typical famiy with a typical middle class household -- until the latter seasons, anyway....

coelispex says "A show both breath-taking and eye-opening" about Nip/Tuck

I admit it.

When I first started watching, I never thought that I could get into such a strange show. The plot was regularly outlandish and it seemed that things were done for sheer shock value. Little did I know that the outlandish plot and the larger-than-life characters were EXACTLY what would bring me back next week.

It's true that there's a lot of things on the show that make me squirm -- and the surgery scenes do, at times, make me avery my eyes -- but there's just as much that makes me smile or laugh. The boys, Christian and Sean, are both hot, but, more than that, they have real personalities. They both grow and regress, and the one seen as the grotesque sinner one episode can become the better man the next. Confusing, sometimes, but always, always entertaining....
