There have been no fleas on my cat, or even in the house. I am not sure if it protects the WHOLE yard because I have a pretty large yard. But I am sure everywhere he goes, lays, or plays, there aren't any fleas or ticks, at least the few places that I have been. If there are, they don't come in with him. He does not scratch at all, therefore, he is much, much happier. It would be very vacuous to have little fleas crawling all over you....
