codemistress says "Vacuum's good, costumer service stinks" about Kirby Vacuum Cleaner

I bought a Diamond G Kirby Vacuum a little over 3 years ago. Since it was so expensive, I wanted a good comperhensive waranty. The Salesman told us the vacuum had a life-time waranty on all the parts except the wooden brush in the head and the inner bags. So when the cord cracked, I pulled out the waranty to find out how to get the cord replaced. I began reading and found out that the vacuum only had a 3 year limited waranty, which expired 2 months ago. In several places the waranty states that there is no other waranty. So a new cord would cost me $40! I was very angry at myself and the salesman. He had handed me a sealed envelope with the waranty and receipt inside. He told me to keep this in a safe place, but encouraged me not to open it until I needed it. I was angry at myself for not checking for the writing of what he was telling me. But Kirby has lost my business because the salesman lied. I recommend buying a good vacuum at Sears or something and expect to buy a new one in...
...

codemistress says "Wilton must have real bakers behind their products!" about Wilton Indulgence Three-Tier Cooling Rack

I have always been impressed with Wilton's baking products, and this is no exception. These black wire trays are coated with a nonstick plastic, and stand on wire legs tipped with rubber feet. They keep the cookies (brownies, cake, whatever) slitely off of your counter so the your confection can cool. They fold up to be about the size of a cookie sheet, so that's where I store them.

And they are not just for baked goods! I have covered them with foil and laid lasagna pasta on them. I have created a spice shelf in my pantry with one. I've even used them to serve plates of snacks!

The only bad thing about these trays is that the rubber feet can come off. My boys like to pull the feet off when I'm not looking and the wire can scrape the counter or table.

I've seen these trays at just about any store that sells Wilton bakeware. Check out Walmart, Target, Linens and Things, etc.
...

codemistress says "Sometimes a quality cleaner can be found in the strangest places" about L.A. Totally Awesome Cleaner

This cleaner is worth the price - 1 dollar! I've tried many cleaners: expensive ones, brand names, cleaners from infomercials. This cleaner out ranks them all. It gets stains out that you wouldn't believe. I''ve poured it into my laundry instead of bleach. It's been color-safe and extremely effective. I've poured it into my carpet cleaner. It cleans my kitchen floors, the walls, anything that's not glass. I buy it by the case. But they have a glass cleaner version too! The only bad thing is that it comes in a very cheep bottle. The sprayer breaks easily. But I just buy a spray bottle and refill it. This cleaner can't be beat! I think it's the best kept secrect of Dollar Tree!

...

codemistress says "Best Upright Vacuum on the market." about Kirby Vacuum - G5 Upright Vacuum

If you like Uprights, but can't find a quality one, you just found the product for you. It is expensive, but look at it the way you would a new dishwasher, or refridgerator. You are buying a quality cleaning appliance that is going to last you several years.

I love the versatility of this vacuum. I've vacuumed everything, and it picks up slitely better than other vacuums. But then, with another attachment, it becomes a carpet shampooer. It does a fairly good job of that, too. I've also used it to blow up an air matress, and a pool. I've drug it out and vacuumed my car with the hose attachment.

Besides being expensive, you do have to go to a specialty store for replacement bags and belts. But I found a janitorial store near my home, and the supplies are not more expencive than replacement bags and belts of other vacuums.

Also, I have long hair that tends to catch in the brush of the vacuum, but unlike other vacuums, this vacuum has a way to detach the brush from the belt. When the brush...
...

codemistress says "The Tweeze Works! But don't expect too much." about As Seen On TV Tweeze Hair Remover

OK, I waited until it was in the stores before attempting this product. I didn't believe all the hype, and I was right. I knew it would feel like an electronic hair plucker - that's all it is. It doesn't do all that the commercial promised, but it does get rid of my ugliest hairs - which is what I needed. I haven't tried it anywhere but my face, and I only remove two or three hairs a day. Eventually, I hope to have that "all hair gone" face in two weeks. If you are looking for a hair removal product to replace razers, trimmers, and wax, this isn't it. But if you want to replace your tweezers with something a little faster, this is the product for you....

codemistress says "This infant seat has its pros and cons, but the pink is styling!" about Compass I400 Car Seat

This is a cute car seat for the mom who has two boys and then a girl. I agree with all the pros in the other reveiws, and the cons. Here is one more:

It doesn't have the belt-alone feature that other car seats have, so it doesn't install in my double stroller right. If you are a first-time mom of a girl, this is the car seat for you - get the travel system if you can. But as an experienced mom with a toddler, this was maybe not the best choice for me.

I loved the pink so much though, I couldn't bare to take it back. So I just "make it work" in my stroller - not as secure as I would like, but the baby's not likely to fall out.
...
