I love sarcasm and satire. The new ABC sitcom Modern Family delivers! Wednesday night is mine and my hubby's new night of comedy. It is such a funny and realistic portrayal of normal living of, well, modern families.

As someone who is a bit over obsessive about cleaning and odors, I was elated when I found Plink on a clip strip in the cleaning aisle.

Reading the picture book Where the Wild Things Areis a fond childhood memory. When I heard they were making a movie based on this children's classic, I was anxious with anticipation for it's creation. When I heard that Spike Jonze (director of Being John Malkovich) would be the director, I was even more excited. The commercials made it look excellent. Before the opening day, I was already hearing great things about it. Some friends who had seen it opening weekend used the words "moving," "heart-warming," "emotional," and "meaningful" to describe the family film. So, I must say, that I had great expectations for this movie.

An addition to my bathroom cleaning supplies is an item I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!

Courtesy Flush by Scentco (the makers of the Plink disposal odor eliminators) has "active enzymes, including tea and bamboo leaf extracts, that neutralize odor-causing bacteria" and "can even help to eliminate pre-existing odors." It "prevents odors from becoming airborne and offensive by forming a natural barrier on the water's surface." This product is "made from plant extract" and thus is "biodegradable." Comes in a .5 oz. bottle.

Just 3 to 4 drops in the toilet lasts "up to 100 flushes." I've found the freshening lasts about 5 days in my home. Courtesy Flush absolutely works at eliminating toilet odors and keeps them away. I mean those smells that sometimes creep up out of your toilet are GONE! I just don't feel the bathroom cleaning if finished without it. Courtesy Flush a must for all bathrooms.

The Harry Potter craze has been such an uproar, that I finally made the decision to find out what the craze is all about. Being that I had never sat through an entire Harry Potter movie, nor had I read the books, I sat through ABC Family's Harry Potter weekend and watched The Order of the Pheonix from HBO on Demand to catch up with the rest of the fans. So, I recently found out that I'm gluten intolerant, It's been a humbling struggle having to adjust my eating habits and find certain substitutes. We made a special trip to my favorite health food store, Clark's Nutrition (see my review on Clark's). It was an exhausting grocery trip, but yielded some promising alternatives for snacks, like brownies, and pastas (thank goodness).

I happened across Road's End Organic Penne & Chreese Cheddar Style macaroni to replace the occasional traditional mac'n'cheese. The picture on the front appealed to me in the gourmet liking.

A friend of mine invited me to enjoy an out-of-town evening of theater. When she asked me if I wanted to see "Dirty Dancing the Musical," I said, "Heck, ya! OW!"

Fox in his quest to find out if optimism is wide spread and necessary in life. A television companion to his latest book Looking Up: The Adventures of An Incurable Optimist, this show follows him as he interviews others, travels to places that puts optimism at it's for front and does scientific trials to research optimism.

I only saw promos for this show about 2 weeks ago and was excitedly anxious for the premier. It way exceeded what I expected. Adventures of An Incurable Optimist is so enlightening and joyful show to watch. Fox's research studies are interesting and you can't help but smile from ear to ear when watching the show. Michael J. At Christmas time, I was doing some stocking stuffer shopping on a cold day when I came across a really cute accessory that would be handy on cold days, such as that one.

Gold Medal International Toe Socks, stapled in a purple packaging, which are 95% acrylic and 5% spandex, are adorable knee high socks with separated compartments for each toe, like traditional gloves, only for the feet! They come stripped in a variety of rainbow colors.

Mine are different tones of cool colors with purple (my favorite color) as the main color. You have to get use to the toe separations, but they are warm and real cute! It's a fun, cute item for cold winter nights. Gold Medal International Toe Socks are a great gift for your best girlfriend or your daughters. I love mine! . . . Did I mention they're cute!?! ;oP

We have a decorative shelf in the main bathroom, but not an actual toilet paper holder. I like organization, so when things get out of place, like the toilet paper, when I need it, I get annoyed.

I finally decided to get an official toilet paper holder instead of just sitting the toilet tissue on the shelf, because it magically manages to come up missing at convenient moments. I only wanted the holder for the function, so I wasn't particular about how it looked, which is why I bought the cheapest one on the Walmart shelf; their name "home decor" brand, Mainstays.

   A white, plain, plastic one, the Walmart Mainstays Tissue Holder, in a blue package with white font. On the back, there's directions to adhere it to the wall from the glue plates on the back.

Dad's Pregnant Too! is th first edition of a pregnancy book from a guy's perspective geared towards fathers-to-be written by Harlem Cohen.

The information is well researched set with some humorous tones. I can see how this book would keep a guy's attention. Much of Mr. Cohen's book covers quite a variety of different scenarios. I was surprised at how much this book covers; not just informationally, but the emotional needs and supportiveness suggestions given.

I like that Mr. Cohen not only collected doctoral interviews, but also information given by dads, moms and parents-to-be. That was probably what gave this book edge it needed, with respect to sharing personal stories of emotional, hormonal and support experiences, that many pregnancy books don't tell you about.

The author discusses the various delivery options, including birthing centers, home birthes, midwives and doulas. He even goes so far as to discuss the necessary health insurance coverage options, another...

I'm still trying to be calorie conscience, but I still love my occasional cherry soda. A regular endulgence, I needed to find a substitute while I'm losing weight. I tried Hansen's Diet Black Cherry Soda and it was a good resolution, until I found out that they were discontinuing the flavor. So when I happened down the beverage aisle of my local Albertsons when I noticed a zero calorie cherry soda, and not just any brand! My favorite brand, Coca-Cola! YAY!!!

Coca-Cola Cherry Zero, in the black label with the red cherries on it, has the following per a single 12 oz. calorie free cherry flavored beverage: 0 grams of fat, 0 carbs, 0 protein, and just 40 mg of sodium. Natural Flavors. Warning: product does contain aspartame.
