cmcalvert says "Best vacuum I've ever used" about Dyson Vacuum - Upright All Floors Bagless Cyclonic Vacuum

The Dyson DC07 All Floors vacuum is quite honestly the best vacuum I have ever used. I love that it is bagless and that all I have to do is pull a lever to make the bottom drop out to release the contents of the canister. I used to have problems with dirt and dust flying right back into the air and settling back into the carpet, but this vacuum successfuly filters and prevents that stuff from escaping. I can actually breathe while vacuuming now!

The suction power is amazing. We had two indoor cats when we bought this, and the amount of cat hair it pulls out of the carpet is incredible. Since we now have a third cat, this is needed more than ever! The vacuum is also great to use on bare floors with an easy switch to change position.

I have used this on large area rugs with no problems, but I would not suggest using them on smaller rugs or rugs with fringe around the edges because of the amount of suction.

One of my favorite things is that the brush bar is not the standard cylindrical......

cmcalvert says "Okay for the terminally bored." about Lightspeed Panel

Lightspeed Research Panel is worth it if you have a ton a free time. I have successfully completed surveys and successfully redeemed rewards. I don't usually have a problem with being disqualified from a survey except for the times when I've already spent ten minutes answering questions, and THEN it tells me that I don't qualify.

My main problem is that Lightspeed's server frequently has glitches or errors which do not allow me to complete the survey. It doesn't matter if I'm five minutes in or thirty. Either way I am not allowed to re-enter the survey, and I get no credit whatsoever for my time. Over the past three months, this has happened in about 50% of the surveys I did qualify for. The surveys all have a message on them saying "If you have a problem during the survey please contact Lauren." Don't bother. I've tried contacting Lauren three times and never had a single response.

Another problem is that I've found the surveys usually take much longer to complete than the invitation......

cmcalvert says "Beautiful amber fragrance for a soft, feminine touch" about Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab Brisingamen

Brisingamen is a General Catalog perfume oil blend from the Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab. You can find it on their website under the Love Potions category. This perfume is based on the legend of Norse goddess Freyja and her amber necklace. The scent is absolutely beautiful -- soft, sweet, and dry. The amber scent does not go powdery because it's grounded by sweet apple blossom and myrtle, and carnation adds a touch of spice. A standard 5ml bottle of this perfume costs $15.00 plus shipping, which is a fantastic deal for the amount of highly concentrated fragrance you get out of it. My own bottle has lasted for well over a year with regular use, and to the casual observer, the bottle still appears full. For most people, all you need is a tiny dab to smell beautiful all day long. Even if you need to reapply during the day, the bottle is small enough and sturdy enough to easily fit in your purse....

cmcalvert says "Excellent new generation of hi-def DVD players" about Toshiba - HD-A2 DVD Player

My husband and I bought the first HD DVD player released last year, and it has served us well -- but the Toshiba HD-A2 is even better! It's thinner and more light-weight than its predecessor, so it fits better in our entertainment center. We used to have so many problems with scratched discs not playing in the old player and considered cancelling our Netflix subscription, but the HD-A2 can play them all with few to no problems. The picture quality and sound quality are EXCELLENT -- as long as you're not expecting 1080p, this player is tops. When the camera pans to either side during a shot, you can see the slight jerkiness of the interlaced picture, but that's normal for any interlaced resolution. We are looking forward to the next generation of HD DVD players with 1080p capability, but for now, we're very happy with the HD A2....
