Yes, the Atkins bars are pretty good but I find them to be too expensive. I have seen a dietician for the last two months and she states to stay away from products like this that ar processed. The best thing for your self would to be eat fresh fruit. I carry around raisins if I am unable to keep the fruit from getting squashed
...

I first received a sample of Dove Go Fresh-Energize in the mail. I tried it and have loved it since. I use two different kinds of deodorants depending on if I want it to have a scent or not. The Dove Go Fresh product is subtle and I sus it for everyday use. I am thankful that I received a sample because I am the type of person that will buy something if after sampling it I like it.
...

I purchased Gold Bond Medicated Powder for my husband to use. He is a bagpiper and to use a polite term, goes "regimental" under his kilt. One thing he learned real fast is there are certain areas of the body that, when left untethered, can develop a rash. Some of the other pipers told us about this product, so he tried it and it worked like a miracle. Believe me, he has a container in his bagpipe case, hat case, bathroom and the compartment of his car. Obviously he learned a very good lesson.
...

As I have discovered, Pureology makes top of the line hair care products. I received my first bottle of this brand as a gift from one of my friends. After using it, I could not bring myself to go back to my old shampoo. The conditioner is pricey at $27.99 a 8.5 oz bottle, which is what my local drugstore sells it for. I did buy it, and hide it to use as a special treat.
...

cindylaloca says "Turns off even when it is not full" about Frigidaire Dehumidifier - FDL50S1

I also own the Frigidare Dehumidifier FLD50S1 and to be honest it is awful. The thing shuts off even when it is not full and I am quite frequently emptying it. Our basement stays moist almost all the time and this just does not dry it up not even a little. The cost was in the middle of the price range as I did not want to buy the cheapest nor could I afford the most expensive. The air filter fills quickly and is hard to clean and expensive to replace, so I wash it off with the garden hose in the summer and in the shower in the winter.

It is raining right now in Ohio and I went down to check just before rating this and as usual it was not on and the basement felt damp. I emptied the half full tank and I had to jiggle it around in it's compartment to get it to turn on.

The only good thing I can say about it is that it is white in color. If I had researched this dehumidifier better I would have never bought it.

I was going to chaperone a Spanish trip to Costa and did not have a camera. I usually use the cheap disposable type that can be purchased at any store.

I did have somewhat of a problem learning how to use it because the instruction book was so thick. When one of the students noticed me with the "cheat sheet" provided with the camera, he offered to tutor me. It's amazing how these young people can work so many electronic gadgets. I did admit to him that I just bought it the night before we were to leave. He didn't make fun, but I could see a kind of smirk. This young man was very patient even when I kept messing up. I do have some interesting photos of the floor of the bus, the inside on my carrying case, peoples feet and other unidentifiable things.

When I did use it correctly, the photos were beautiful and had very good clarity.

The phone was on sale and I can guarantee that it was well worth the money and honestly more.
...

I have A MBNA Visa credit card and it has absolutely ridiculous interest rates. They are raising them even if you pay on time and pay more that the minimun balance. I have heard that this is because they are loosing money and have to make it up somewhere. Is it right to do this on the backs of us struggling consumers?

We have destroyed all of our credit cards but realize that it will take many years to pay them off. We consolidated them but it did not accomplish much. We also tried to negotiate lower interest rates, but were told no.

One of the things we used them for was to pay for our daughters books for college. We thought long and hard about this and had no other way to do.

While in college the companies set up stations to get the students sucked into their grasp. Both of my daughters signed up for credit cards and now regret it. They forgot the fact that yes they were easy to get, yes they has large credit limits but that they had to make payments which was very...
...

I purchased my Cuisanart Grind and Brew because my sister had one and honestly I was jealous. Well, it is the best cffee pot I have ever owned. Not only can you use coffee that is already ground but you can use whole coffee beans(which I prefer). The aroma of the grinding process fills the whole house with the type of scent that will remind you of the smell in a coffee shop.

I add cinnamon to the basket before grinding and end up with a very good cup of coffee that has just a hint of the cinnamon flavor.

Since I have purchased mine my Mom, other Sister and both of my daughters have also bought one. You can find them on sale for $99-$129 dollars and it is worth every penny.
...

cindylaloca says "My med cocktail" about Lexapro Antidepressant

Our family has a very pronounced history of mental issues. I use Lexapro along with other meds to control ADHD, Bi-polar, panic/anxiety attacks and depression. I loving refer to this as my "cocktail".

At first I did not want to admit to having problems even though I could feel it. When I went to my Psych, we had long sessions and we tried many different meds until we found the proper ones.

I an thankful to have my life back and am able to function normally in every day life. My marriage of 29 years was saved by taking my medications and following the Dr.s orders.

If you or someone you love appears to be depressed, I want to strongly encourage you to seek help. It has worked for me and I would never go back to how I used to be.

At first the medication did not seem to help but as a nurse I knew better than to expect instant results...

cindylaloca says "Great work out" about Schwinn schwinn airdyne

I use my Schwinn Airdyne every other day as I go to Curves on the other days. I enjoy the fact that while you peddle air blows from the wheel like a fan keeping you cool. There is a place to put a book or magazine I may be reading. You can just use your arms to pump the handles or even just use your legs to peddle without needing to hold on to the handlebars, if you don't want to do both at the same time.

Between Curves, walking, using my exercise bike and eating 5 small meals a day I have manages to lose a lot of weight.(under100# but over 60#). It was not easy but I truly believe that if I did not have the bike to augment what else I was doing I would never have lost so much.

I very highly recommend a exercise bicysle of any type. One other thing people do not know is you can purchase a device from a quality bike shop that will allow you to rest your wheels on it and turn your road bike into a stationary bike....

cindylaloca says "Shoes-a necessary evil" about none - bare feet

I am one of those people who absolutely hate shoes. I even go barefoot in the winter, and I live in Ohio!!

I think it goes back to childhood and the fact that we had to wear whatever shoes other people gave to us. Needless to say, this hurt.

You can decorate your feet up with toe rings, ankle bracelets, slave type bracelets that go around your ankle and a toe, bell and just about anything else you want. Including permanent body art!!

I find it very comfortable to be barefoot ans love the feel of the grass, sand, even mud on my feet....

cindylaloca says "Egypt-have to go there" about Egypt

When I was a child I had an unquenchable thirst for anything and everything I could read and/or find about Egypt. I believe that before I die I have to make a type of pilgrimage there, as it will make my life come full circle and I will be at rest. I am the type of person that believes we keep coming back until we fulfill our destiny, then we will have completed out circle of life.

I feel that I lived a long time ago there, maybe as a slave or a wife of a worker.

One piece of advice I would like to give people is just about no matter what your children say thy want to be when they grow up, NEVER EVER tell them no because there are no jobs in the field. I wanted to be an Egyptologist, but my parents discouraged me. I have been disappointed in that for a great many years. Now at the age of 51(and a Registered Nurse) I am going back to school to take classes. I look at it this way, even if I do not live long enough to complete the degree at least I will be working toward it and will......

cindylaloca says "rip off" about Bank of America - Visa Card

Even though we make our payments on time our credit card company has come up with new and creative ways to make more money off of you. One of my favorites is if the payment is not in by 3:00 pm the account is not credited until the next day. This can make your payment late and they WILL charge you a large late fee. Even if you call and explain there might be a problem, they do not care. You still get the fee.

If you happen to fall behind, they make your lifr h***. Harassing phone calls, threatening you with bill collectors.

We plan on paying this garbage off when my husband retires and do not EVER plan on getting one again. The only way we may change our mind is if there are sweeping reforms in the way credit card companies are allowed to conduct business....

cindylaloca says "Great all all around use truck" about Chevrolet 2005 - 2005

We purchased out Chevy S-10 used in 2008. My husband has always wanted a truck so he could haul things around. We have found that the bed of the truck might be mid size, but it holds more than it looks like it could. We take our bicycles out to trails along with all the equipment we need and there is plenty of room left. We carry around fishing equipment, food, chairs, blankets and even a portable table and like the other example still have plenty of room.

The bed is lined so it does not scratch no matter what you load into it.

Behind the front seat is a small area that has what we call a "jump seat". This area is perfect for us because we take our dog and my insulin dependent cat with us when we go away and our pets have plenty of room so they do not have to stay caged up.

I recommend that anybody in the market for a mid size pick up that gets great gas mileage give a Chevy a test drive....

I have tried Nutra System, found it to work, but was too expensive for our food budget. The representative stated that I would spend about the same amount of money a month on food as I would on their product. The problem, the money I spend has to feed the whole family, not just me.
