Kraft Macaroni & Cheese used to be a staple side dish for me, all the way through college. No longer my friends.

I cooked a box recently and threw it all away after a few bites. I don't know if they've changed the ingredients or my tastebuds have just refined, but it was absolutely awful! My mouth felt like it had been coated with oil. Ugh.

Grating fresh cheese on pasta is a much better option.

I've been using MyPoints.com for more than five years now. I was excited to find this site because I'm able to get rewards for things I buy online anyway. Plus, I've found some online stores through MyPoints.com that I may not have found any other way.

The rewards partners are numerous and most time I get my gift cards in less than two weeks.

They are constantly updating their site to make things easier to find and easier to use.

If you're traveling through Iron Mountain in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, make sure to stop by the Moose Jackson Cafe.

It has a laid back atmosphere, fresh brewed coffee, and fantastic food. It's even vegetarian friendly. Another plus - free wireless, which is great if you're on the road for work or fun.

I'm a big fan of the quiche (although the slices are a bit small) and the grilled cheese panini.

If you have a sweet tooth, make sure to check out the giant brownies, but make sure to bring someone along to share it with.

My husband and I started vacationing in Copper Harbor, MI about five years ago. The second time we headed to the north woods of the Upper Peninsula we stayed at the King Copper Motel. And we never ended up staying anywhere else when we visited Copper Harbor.

It's a family run business. Everyone that works there is very personable and friendly. The rooms right on the water are our favorite. Fantastic view, kind of secluded.

No phones in the room so you have a true vacation. If you are in need of a phone there are several pay phones around town, including one right outside of the King Copper Motel.

No need for an alarm clock because the Isle Royale Queen IV is reliable for its 8am departure....

It took me a few tries to get into this book, but once I did, I couldn't put it down. Gabriel Garcia Marquez is a master writer that can pull in the most timid readers. This was the first book of his that I've read. Now I can't get enough of his books.

It's a story of fantasy, of mystery, of love, of death, of family... This book has it all! This is a book that has gained a permanent place on my bookshelf and has already been read more than once.

If you've read and enjoyed any of his other books, please consider picking up this one. You won't be disappointed.

I do a lot of traveling for my job and I used to grab my usual breakfast snack of the mini chocolate covered donuts that all gas stations seem to have - until I looked at the nutritional value and saw how much saturated fat there was...

In looking for a replacement I discovered the Keebler Toast & Peanut Butter Snack Crackers. Not only are they quite a bit healthier than my past addiction, but they are more filling and one package usually lasts me more than one trip.

And you can't beat the price - only 50 cents per package at most places!

We tried several types of all natural litter before we found one our cats finally liked - Swheat Scoop Natural Wheat Litter.

It's an all natural, bio-degradable litter so you don't have to worry about sending additional chemicals to the landfill. And you can even flush it if you want.

It clumps well and is good at eliminating odor.

My husband is one of the pickiest eatiers I know. For years he balked at frozen pizzas when I made them for myself. Then we moved to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and he discovered Baroni's frozen pizza.

Baroni's is a local vendor, one that pays attention to quality. Their cheese pizza in particular is a favorite of ours. Not too saucy, more cheese than the average frozen pizza, and depending on where you buy it around $3.50-$4.00 per pizza. Very affordable for the quality you receive.

If you ever see Baroni's in your grocer's freezer, make sure to pick one up and give it a try.
